The receptionists are all super friendly and pretty knowledgeable when it comes to your insurance and what's covered. My teeth always feel e tra clean when leaving. I don't know about you... but It's not easy finding a good, reliable, and quality dentist (after moving away from the Bay Area, needed to find a new dentist sadly) I'll be honest, Dr Chung & his team has been FANTASTIC since I've been going to them (since 2021 I believe?) They are the third AND final dentist (thankfully) I've tried in San Diego ever since moving here. Unfortunately the first two dentists screwed me over where they attempted to say I had this and that to make a quick buck, although I get exams and cleaning EVERY 6 months prior to seeing them. I never had that issue here at AllDentDental, and thankfully no hidden charges. Their RDA's are very thorough, wait times are little to none with on-time appts! (Such a relief because other dentist practices either overbook or just can't get the scheduling right where I've wait up to 30mins or I'm just unlucky lol) Anyways, Dr is very attentive to our needs, and he takes his time checking on our overall dental health. Overall, what stood out to me the most here is just their scheduling. They have it down to the T! I went in today for a cleaning. Yes I'm still and will always drive up to Poway to see my favorite Doc and staff! I recently got insurance through my job. However my insurance doesn't cover me at Dr. Chung's office. Do I care? Nope, I sure don't. I'd rather drive 45 minutes up to see him and pay him to see me. Why? Because I know he knows what he is doing. I have complete confidence and trust in him and his staff. This is quality dentistry! I went to another dentist, he was able to use my previous X Ray with no problem. He also said I didn't need a cavity filling like this Dentist does. Patients at this place also get a free of charge for a Dental scan ( no radiation) along with outstanding services. Dr. Chang at Blue Brush Dental, Irvine so far provided me the best customer services along with high technology equipment as well as treating patient with respected, dignity and no manipulation. Dr. Tae Chung is THE best dentist ever! Just like Anne S., I had a horrible experience with dentists in the past. My past dentists would make me do unnecessary dental work and charge me an arm and a leg. I told Dr. Chung my concerns and my history. He was very empathatic and understanding. He was also very genuine! I was referred to him by my two sisters who both had a wonderful experience with him, so I decided to go. My teeth were hurting really bad and I needed to see him right away. His staff was quick in setting up the appointment. Even though at that time, he was only available on Monday, Fridays, and every other Saturdays, I waited until the next appointment was available because of all the great reviews. Not only did his staff call me right when an availability opened, but the experience was painless! I told him that I might need a root canal or something because my teeth hurt... and after he looked at my teeth, he told me that all I needed was a deep cleaning and a filling in one of my tooth. When he told me the news.. I was shocked that, that is all I had to do! Dr. Tae Chung is a very honest man that is friendly and knows what he is doing. I have been in San Diego for 3 years now and hadn't found a local dentist as my mom is a dental hygienist and would clean my teeth whenever I was back visiting IL... Well, I came down with a toothache that was getting progressively worse, and couldn't wait for my next trip home :( I called around to find a dentist that not only performs root canals, but also had a good rate for those with no dental insurance. THIS WAS THE PLACE! I called on Monday morning and they were able to get me in that afternoon. Dr Chung was exactly as all the reviews I'd read described. Made me feel instantly comfortable (his staff is great too). They took an x-ray and based on what he saw, said he'd feel better sending me to a specialist(I appreciated the caution and honesty). I called the specialist immediately and they got me in right away, and when I arrived, the endodontist (Dr Tran) was getting ready to leave, but when they told him they had one more patient sent from Dr Chung... his response was, "OH! We do anything for Dr Chung!" haha. Seems everyone has a sweet spot for this guy. The endodonist performed the root canal, I felt 1000 times better, and I got back into Dr Chung a few days later for a permanent filling. He performed it in about 20 minutes. He also informed me that I shouldn't ever need a crown unless I decide to later on if the color of my tooth changes. Again, thank you for being honest and not telling me I need something I don't. Being the daughter of a dental hygienist, I know this quality in dentists can be hard to come by... Bottom line-- Dr Chung is honest, easy-going, and has amazing prices for those who don't have dental insurance. Win-win-win! read more

I've been coming to Dr. Chungs office since 2020. If you want an honest AMAZING DENTIST. This is where it's at! A dentist with an amazing staff. They genuinely truly care about your dental health. A dentist that is caring and has integrity. I had very bad experiences with previous dentists. This caused me to have very bad dental issues. I was afraid to trust any dentist. I was referred to Dr. Chung in 2020 and am so blessed to have found him and his staff. He saved my teeth and has always been honest and open to what's going to happen. He tells you what is going on and what the best action plan is. He is very open to listening to your concerns and answering all of your questions and concerns. The same goes for his staff. I trust him competely and will not go any where else. I drive up from Chula Vista to see him. It is well worth the time. I have insurance that I could use at another practice. But I would much rather pay out of pocket here. Why? Because Dr. Chung knows what he is doing. He takes very good care of his patients. I highly recommend coming here. Since day one, everyone at this office has shown me a level of care I thought was impossible to come by. I came in after having been to three other dentists who either overcharged, did a horrible job of explaining the procedures, breakdown of the expenses and options for multiple procedures I needed done. I hate to leave bad reviews, but after a lot of thought, I feel the need to share my experience. I recently moved and needed to find a new dentist. I found AllDent on yelp with almost perfect reviews. I decided to give it a shot. I'm not a fan of going to the dentist and I was overdue for a cleaning and exam, so I was pretty nervous. Everyone was friendly and sweet. Joyce at the front desk is a gem. The hygienist that did my cleaning was gentle and made my teeth feel really clean. I had a great first impression after my initial visit. I came in a few days later to have 2 cavities filled. After some friendly chit chat, Dr. Chung proceeded to give me anesthesia for my filling. After a few minutes, I felt like my heart was pounding and like I was going to faint. I thought that maybe I was just nervous, but I immediately asked him to stop when I saw that my hands and legs were shaking uncontrollably. I apologized for being difficult, but it really felt like an emergency situation where I was going to either faint or vomit or both at the same time. Dr. Chung said that it was probably because the anesthesia had epinephrine in it and some people have adverse reactions. He allowed me to relax until I felt better to move forward with the filling. I felt better after ~15 minutes (my heart was still pounding but my limbs were steady) and we went forward with the filling. He finished it pretty quickly and said he would put a note in my file about the epinephrine. It was a scary experience for me, since I've had about a dozen fillings, a crown + root canal, and wisdom teeth pulled but have never felt anything like that before. It was like a really bad high. My heart hurt from beating so intensely, my limbs were shaking, and I felt like my eyes were drifting to the back of my head. I didn't want to be too hard on Dr. Chung because I suppose he didn't know that I would react that strongly to the epinephrine, and he did respond kindly when I told him I was feeling uncomfortable. I came back the following week to finish the rest of my fillings. Now, this time, I thought things would go more smoothly given what happened last time. Dr. Chung was about to administer the anesthesia and I thought to myself that I should make sure he wasn't giving me anything with epinephrine in it. He had the syringe in his hand and I asked him, "Does that have epi in it?" He responded, "Do you have an allergy to epinephrine?" I reminded him that I was the patient that almost fainted a week ago from epi. He then said, "Oh yeah, sure, we won't use this one then". During our last appointment, he said he would add to it my chart, but I suppose he forgot. I get that people make mistakes and forget things, but I genuinely felt like I could not trust him with my well-being after that moment. He did a great job with my fillings, so I gave him a benefit of the doubt, but I just don't think I can go back after all that has happened. I would like to go into a dental procedure with the confidence that I will be taken care of in a professional manner. I am now more scared of going to the dentist than I have ever been. read more

First off let me tell you I suffer from anxiety and really was nervous, I went in for a crown. The dental assistant Tanya was awesome she was really attentive to all my needs. Dr gave painless shots and we were off to removing the old crown and preparing it for a new one. The temporary crown felt so good, I expected that removing it and replacing it was possibly going to hurt or be sensitive and of which I experienced neither. I highly recommend Dr Chung. read more

I've moved out of the San Diego area but while I was living in Poway, Dr. Chung was my dentist and man, how I miss him! He was an incredibly empathetic, caring and meticulous dentist and took amazing care of my teeth. I first saw him after a long hiatus from dentists (don't judge =_=) and I had several cavities. He did a quick, painless job on those guys, and was able to get my mouth back to where it needed to be. Routine cleanings were always done with care and precision, and every experience was low-key, friendly and efficient. I love Alldent and Dr. Chung! I had been going to a dentist in PB based on location forever. I found Dr. Chung through my work and decided to try somewhere I could go on lunch. My prior dentist consistently told me I had a cavity (EVERY time I went) but that it was really "small" and we should "just fill it now." Doctor Chung is the MAN!!!!! It's been a long time since i had my teeth looked at and was fearing/dreading getting my teeth worked on. Just to give you an idea, i have 4 fillings and 2 crowns put in. I fell asleep while they were working on my teeth. I don't know how many dentists you can think of that can make you feel that relaxed but it was one of the best experiences I've had. Although, you never have to sit more than a few moments in that space, before Valerie, a wonderful, friendly, personable, assistant whisks you away to your room. I had a great first impression with my teeth cleaning at Alldent. Dr. Chung thoroughly cleaned each individual tooth and removed all those yucky stains from my braces. Additionally, Valerie understood my insurance policy and charged me the correct amount. My previous dentist used to charge me strange fees that weren't stated in my insurance policy, so this was a huge plus for me. The office is also open on Saturdays, which is another HUGE plus since I don't have to miss work to keep appointments. What more can be said about how awesome Dr. Chung is? I'm a young professional and live in Normal Heights, so the drive to Poway is about 25 minutes. In that time I pass a 1000 dentists offices, so why Alldent? The offices are clean, and comfortable, great vibe. Alldent uses state of the art technology too. When they take x-rays, the pictures appear within seconds on a screen that is attached to your chair. Dr. Chung is able to quickly point out what's going on in your mouth. Sometimes good, sometimes..... I've been going to Alldent for two years and look forward to every visit. The staff is wonderful. I don't usually write reviews but after getting my cleaning done I felt the need to express how amazing he is. I usually cringe during the cleaning like a baby because of how sensitive my teeth are but during the cleaning at Alldent, I didn't feel any pain or sensitivity! He asked a couple times if there was any sensitivity during the cleaning and to let him know if it hurts at all along the way. Also, the staff at Alldent was extremely nice and helpful as well! My wife and I had received some less-than-stellar treatment from OTHER dentists who had tried to up-sell us on products and services that we didn't need. I feel that merely saying he is 'great' or 'awesome' wouldn't do him the full service he deserves. He took care of my wife and I, remembered us on our return visits, and didn't try to up-sell us on procedures and products that we didn't need. He is a great, down-to-earth guy, and he and his staff are some of the most friendly I've ever encountered. His offices are small, but very clean and comfortable. Hi! All I can say is wow! Dr. Chung is by far the absolute best dentist I've been to! Recently I went to a different dentist office and that other office came up with so many things that were wrong with my teeth and the charges they quoted were outrageous. After doing a google search for Saturday appointments Dr Chung popped up. After reading many yelps reviews I decided to him and his office a try. From the moment you walk into the office until you leave the entire staff is friendly, kind, gentle, informative, and overall outstanding! every person I talked took the extra minute to explain what was going on. The dental hygienist explained to me the cleaning and maybe some things that I should do differently, the doctor explained the pros and cons to potential work I may need to have done, and the receptionist printed out all the charges and went through exactly what my insurance would and would not cover. My dentist experience this morning totally blew me away! I didn't realize that I could actually find a dentist that was honest, kind, doesn't try to upsell you, and has Saturday appointments! For anyway wondering if they should visit Dr Chung, DON'T WAIT because you seriously won't regret it. like i learned this morning, and i'm sure you will as well, I won't ever go to another dentist in San Diego. Dr. Chung and Tina are great. They are very professional and friendly. However, their office's methods of communication are overwhelming and a little suffocating. Originally, I was the first to reach out on their website and submitted an online form to schedule an appointment as a new patient. I specifically chose the option of email as my preferred method of communication because I saw no reason for them to call me to remind me of an appointment since I input everything in my planner. Although they were quick to reply with open appointments, I did not expect the flood of reminder and confirmation calls, voicemails, texts, and numerous emails that followed. For my very first cleaning, I received a confirmation email with my appointment details and then a few days later I got a voicemail asking me to move my appointment to a earlier time. A few hours later (before I could get the chance to call back) I got another call to ask me the same thing. They called me when I was at work when they could so easily have emailed me. I have a cleaning in a week that was scheduled months ago. I already received a confirmation email and was recently sent another reminder email that asked me to reply by clicking the link to confirm the appointment again. But WARNING- if you do not reply to their email, they WILL follow up through more emails, calls, voicemails, and texts. Regarding the same appointment, I was sent a text that asked if I wanted to move my appointment to a week earlier at 8am. I replied by saying "no thank you." I got an email shortly after that asked if "no thank you" meant I was cancelling my appointment. I replied on my email that what I meant was that no, I did not want to take the earlier appointment and wanted to keep my other one. I got a reply from them over text again. So, at this point I am confused as to reply over text or email. I specifically chose email as my preferred method of communication yet I am forced to have half my conversation over text and then the other half over email? The back and forth was very inconvenient. Honestly, the only form of communication they haven't exhausted is sending physical reminders in the mail. read more
