I love this place! I work at a home for kids from all kinds of rough backgrounds and they LOVE getting their hair done here so they told me to go in and check it out. I went in last Saturday without an appointment and JR hustled to get myself and a kiddo I had with me seen. We waited a bit only because he had a scheduled appointment but everyone was so friendly and accommodating and the designs we all got were on point! I am getting stopped everywhere I go by people who love my shaved side design HINTS: call ahead because only two guys do designs so they get slammed. I have been getting my hair cut by "Cesar" for over 4 years now. I met him at another shop that I hated going into but I stomached it because of my barber . A couple years later Cesar moved to ICON Barber where the vibe is way better than that other shop (which closed down btw). Not only are all the barbers there cool & friendly but I can always count on Cesar to accommodate me whenever I need him. You don't have to make appointments but it always helps no matter what. They usually have their TV's on w/ some sort of NETFLIX show on or music playing. Quality cuts & great customer service to the max here. I liked this shop until recently. Walked into the shop. No one asked to help me. Waited 20 minutes giving them the benefit of the doubt. Some guy walks in and a barber appears. Got up and walked away. I do not know what happened. Funny they lost a customer who tips 40%. Bummed out I have to find another shop. If you want return customers. Start by saying can I help you? I've been coming to Icon for over a few years now. I've changed my hair style several times and have never been disappointed. I always come see Randy every time and never go to anyone else. He's always available for appointments and walk-in's. I have my routine with him where I go in every other Saturday at the same time because I like to keep up. I always make an appointment with him and have never been turned away. Randy takes his time and is very detailed. He always spends over 40 minutes on my hair and when I change it up he spends over an hour. Great prices and I always make sure to tip him good because he does such an amazing job. The vibe upon entrance is similar to an awkward stoner frat house where horny bros smoke pot, play video games, and get failing grades. Nobody talks. Nobody says anything. No eye contact. I was seated by a stoner dude who appeared to have smoked the largest joint in the world just prior to cutting my hair. He sat me facing away from the mirror and towards a tv playing football for some reason. I asked to see my hair half way through and he said, "nah." Anyway ... I told the stoner dude that I wanted a simple haircut that usually takes about 5-10 minutes at other places. This stoner bro took 1.5 hours. I remember thinking about 45 min in, "this idiot stoner hasn't even touched the other side of my head." It wasn't till the haircut was done that I got the big reveal/disappointment. He turned me around and it was not what I asked for at all. I needed to get the hell out so I paid and went home to shave my head. I can't imagine these stoner bros lasting much longer. read more

This review is a little late, but considering how upset I was, I decided to go ahead and write one. I checked out Icon on a Saturday morning. I knew it was going to be a wait since I didn't have an appointment, but my son really needed a haircut and they are located across the street from me. I walked in and out of the 4 barbers there, not a single one said hello or we will be with you shortly. One barber that did not have a client in his chair was just playing with the music (which was not kid friendly at all!) for about 10 min. I waited close to 45 min before I had enough of being ignored and left. I understand they were busy, but a simple "there are 2 people ahead of you" would had made me feel better. Not even as I grabbed my bag and walked towards the door, did they pay attention. Not a good way to run a business. I was so disappointed since they are located so close to me. read more

I just moved to the area and was looking for someone to cut my son's hair since he needed a haircut and also had gum stuck in his hair very close to his scalp. I found this barber shop on yelp and saw they had good reviews. I called them and asked if I could bring him in now and they said yes. I took him in and didn't even have to wait one minute. They put him on a chair right away. I showed the barber a picture of what I wanted and before I knew it, they were done and his hair was perfect, exactly the same cut in the picture and the gum was gone too, without even noticing the spot. I usually go here and it's decent they have a couple of dudes who have been there and are good but this time it was a different dude that's not usually there and gave me a weak ass/half ass lineup and fade, had to ask for help mid haircut, not messing with it at all. This place is absolutely horrible... ive given this place about 3 chances and their customer service was trash every single time. I came in with my family, and theyre cussing up a storm in front of my mom. The last time I went, i sat there for 45 minutes because the barber told me another barber was on his way in 15 mins and every time I would ask, he would add a few minutes to it. However, since my son is getting older, the last place I want him to be exposed to explicitly trashy music is at the barbershop. So I've been here a couple times and let me just say it's definitely the most ratchet barber shop on chatsworth! From the dirty decor to the unprofessional barbers! The vibe is the place is super unfriendly and uninviting! I've sat there and listened to them complain about clients tips who literally just walked out the door. I've even witnessed arguments one barber even got into the barbers face that was cutting my hair threatening him over using his hair tools all while I was sitting in the chair hoping he would hurry with my haircut! They're always playing some ratchet movie with sex scenes or extremely graphic and really ratchet music which sometimes can be uncomfortable while there are mothers with their children in the shop! And please stop playing video games while clients sit and wait you're all grown men act like them and leave the games at home! Anyways if you do so choose to stop in this unprofessional establishment your best choice for a "decent" hair cut (I use the word loosely) would be with Caesar I guess. read more
