I went on yelp looking for a barber to cut my son's hair. The Freshee is 2 blocks away with an excellent rating so I called and lucked out getting an appointment in an hour. Someone picked up the phone and kept saying cutting off. After 15 seconds, she said now I can hear you. I asked a simple question (mentioned below in this review), which probably she was not able to answer and then later a minute or so, said the same thing again, you are cutting off/cutting off. If I was really cutting off, you should have a courtesy as a business to call customer back to answer his question which was never answered. Question that I asked... Let me just start by saying I love it here. Kiki keeps me looking good and everyone of the staff is friendly. I'm a quieter individual at first but I feel comfortable and didn't feel like I needed to talk when I first started coming here. Service is great and the haircut are fresh(ee) lol. It's my first time today at The Freshee, and Benz has given me a hair style that I never had before. My hair is so thin and wavy that I usually can't style it at all. It's just glat. But Benz did magic today. I wish I had him as my barber from back then. He is very oriented to detail and definitely is an expert on what he is doing, so I appreciate him telling me what haircut is planning to give me before he even touched my hair. I called at 252pm to see availability for a haircut. A woman answered, Mariana I later found out, and said she had a 3pm available. I said Yes! No questions asked. I was not offered any other I do except for the price of services needed. I communicated to her that I needed to get cash but I'd arrive asap. I arrive at 320 after having difficulty finding the place and dealing with Friday traffic. There is not one mention of this business in the plaza on the directory board out front. I walk in at 322 to her fucking gone. There is apparently a 15 minute grace period, which was never divulged to me. SHE FUCKING LEFT WHILE I WAS ACTIVELY LOCATING THE BUSINESS! I've finally found the right barber. I first came across The Freshee when looking on yelp for a new barber. This place stood out to me because the branding did not look like a typical barber shop. The founder Benz was creating a lifestyle brand and I resonated with the fact that he was thinking outside the box and thinking much bigger. The haircut itself was easily the best one I've ever received. A nice crispy fade, and he even cut the top of my hair based off of the texture, and thickness that I have, in order to make my hair look its best. And it really showed.
