Technically it just means "bread", and comes in many other forms, but the version above is the perfect sandwich and that is a hill I'm willing to die on. This food truck's Banh mi is easily among the best I've ever had. We stumbled onto this food truck having never even heard of it (while walking to another restaurant actually), and it miraculously had the one food we've literally been willing to drive hours for. Their Banh mi is not the most traditional one in the world, but it's wonderful all the same. The protein is smoked pulled pork and the chili aioli they use is fantastic. This is a review for the owners/management. However with our most recent order the prices increased substantially, from $18 to $25 for one example. And an additional 10% take out fee on top of that. There has been no update of the pricing online and no notice over the phone. I placed a usual order over the phone and sent my husband to pick up and he came home with an outrageous bill. I was told over the phone that I should come in and pick up a takeout menu to see the prices... but we won't be back. Allegedly the prices changed last week but they have not been changed online in that time frame. Might be a good idea to verbalize the price (at least the total overall) to customers when they place an order if you won't be posting accurate pricing information online. We really liked this place but that is borderline theft.
