Good americano and a tasty breakfast burrito with Bacon. There is an outdoor table and a drive thru.

Good coffee and after a mighty bacon burrito, I know I won't be eating again until dinner. Huge burrito, hot and toasty and filled with chopped bacon, tons of cheese, scrambled eggs, and hash brown. Quick and very reasonably priced with two burritos & a medium coffee for $15.

Very friendly owner. The Bacon Breakfast Burrito is very easy to enjoy while traveling. I loved that the bacon is cut into bits so it's easy to eat, but it's guaranteed that you'll have crumbs on you afterwards. The burritos are pre made then warmed up. If you modify the burrito they will make it for you, just takes a little longer. I am giving 4 stars because the hot cocoa is just chocolate syrup with warm milk. I was expecting a little more.

Known for their breakfast burritos, but their turkey sandwich was phenomenal. Perfect pre or post flight meal.

It's a huge hangar type space filled with locals bustling in for their morning coffee. My typical way to know if I'll like a coffee shop is if their cappuccino is only offered in one (or two) sizes. Black Coffee had that-BINGO. Delicious and perfectly made. My only regret is not buying beans to brew at home.

(525) is worth a stop for the building alone--that curved corrugated-metal shell, the tangle of Edison bulbs strung across the high ceiling, and a sunny little patio out back make it one of the more distinctive coffee spots around. The service was friendly and quick. I ordered at the counter and had my drink in hand in no time, with genuinely nice folks behind the bar. The menu has some fun, unexpected touches too--the mint cold brew is a standout you won't find everywhere, and it's refreshing without being gimmicky. The pastry case is where they really shine. House-made bialys, savory danishes with coconut greens and pork belly, sweet danishes with black tea and roasted rhubarb, plus a rotating lineup of cookies and tea cakes. Everything looks like it's made with real care, and the bakery side (Grist) clearly takes the craft seriously. One heads-up: there's no WiFi. If you're hoping to post up and grind through a few hours of work, this isn't the spot for it--plan on a shorter visit or bring a hotspot. For a quick, high-quality coffee-and-pastry run, though, it's a winner. Come for the architecture and the mint cold brew, stay for the bialys--just don't expect to get much emailing done.

It has a local following (and ownership story), a friendly vibe, a cute logo and stand design that fits the name well, and the kind of welcoming personality that makes you smile a bit before getting back on the road. The menu is broad and should satisfy just about anyone in the car. There are numerous hot and cold coffee drinks, tea options, a wide variety of syrups, and several milk choices to accommodate different tastes and dietary preferences. Service was prompt, cheerful, and genuinely friendly. The coffee itself, however, lands closer to average for me. The drinks tend to rely more heavily on syrups and sweeteners than allowing the coffee to be the star. If you've visited places like Mercury Coffee around Seattle or Dutch Bros, you'll have a good sense of what to expect. As someone who has probably spent more time debating roast profiles than any reasonably adjusted adult should, I recognize that I may not be the ideal customer for this style of coffee stand, so take that criticism with the appropriate grain of salt. That said, context matters. For a drive-through stand in Missoula, Loose Caboose compares favorably with many similar options, and if you're willing to set aside any Seattle or San Francisco coffee snobbery, it's actually a bit above average for what it aims to be. Final Thoughts: Loose Caboose isn't a destination coffee shop that I'd build an itinerary around, but it's absolutely worth pulling over for if you're driving through town and looking for a pleasant caffeine stop. Friendly service, plenty of options, and a fun atmosphere make it an easy recommendation for road trippers. -AC

HOWEVER, you guys have got to get your shit figured out. The cashier gave us a number placard, and told us to stay at the front to get our drinks before sitting. So we did. Employees were abuzz, swarming like ping pong balls, and making food/drinks. We stood and waited, then after like 15 minutes a gal came out and handed me my plate of food!? We hadn't even gotten our drinks yet. *Why was I being handed food first, standing, versus receiving my drink and then served food while seated at our table?* I wandered to find a table, and found myself weaving through a bunch of people. It was awkward since all the tables/chairs are spaced SO close together. My husband stayed at the front for our lattes, as I started to eat alone. :( We loved the food, but we felt unhappy about the fracas and chaos. This is NOT the way to run a restaurant. We sat and enjoyed our lattes, and the eclectic ambiance. Finally another 12 to 15 minutes later, my husband's biscuits and gravy arrived. I am a slow eater, and I was already done eating, when he began to eat. :( Sad to say, our experience was extremely disappointing. Totally disjointed, and it left us feeling frustrated and irritated. This shouldn't need to be said, but you guys need to serve people in the order they come in. Get those tickets done asap, and it'll clear up your insane bottleneck you create by serving the "easiest" drinks and meals first. Yummy food, but NOT a good dining experience. Also, there are some funny reviews whining about feeling uncomfortable that this place is anti-ICE. Pro-lgbtq. "Oh the horror" to be inclusive, and tolerant of other people! I just know what you would've been balking about in the 1950's... Clyde Coffee is said to be a "liberal" coffee shop, but if you think about it, this is simply human decency... Treat others with basic kindness, and you won't feel such guilt. :)
