Dropped off a laptop for a powerplug repair. They said 3-5 days to repair. Stop in on 5th day to check on the status of the repair. They told me the power plug needed a repair. I informed the young lady at the counter that this was the reason I had brought it in and that I had told them that. She typed on their computer a bit and told me the hard drive was corrupted and they needed my log-in password. I asked when someone was going call me on that since we were already at 5 days and I hadn't heard a thing. She said "Probably next Tuesday..." I retrieved my laptop and took it somewhere else. Too lackadaisical and unprofessional for my tastes, especially with the prices they charge. There are other computer shops in downtown Edmond who are much more committed to customer satisfaction and while I prefer to support my local independent businesses, unfortunately, I will no longer be supporting this one.

The person who helped me was incredibly thorough in explaining my options to me and preparing a plan of action for me. He was also able to get me in the same day! I dropped my laptop off on Tuesday and I paid around $85 dollars to run a diagnostic on my Macbook Air to see if we could figure out what was wrong. The man called me on Wednesday to give me an update, and he called me again on Thursday to let me know my laptop couldn't be fixed without a significant cost. It turned out to be an issue with the logic board which was out of my budget to fix as a student. During the phone call, the same guy explained the problem to me in incredible detail so I could make an informed choice about what to do next. I could tell his priority was finding a solution I was happy with because he kindly answered every question I had with a positive attitude and clear answers. I trusted his expertise a lot and I probably would have said yes to any service he recommended + I am appreciative he didn't treat my situation as a cash grab. I ended up buying a new laptop because it cost about $200 more than getting the logic board fixed. Per the man's recommendation, I purchased Apple Care, too. I highly recommend The MacMan!

After my display broke literally the night before midterms, I brought my laptop into Best Buy where I was told either 1. I'd need to send my computer in to Apple for a month for repairs, or 2. I should just buy a brand new laptop. One of the workers recommended this place and after going, I recommend this place too. Beyond kind and knowledgeable in the issue, and as a college student with very little money, was able to ease my worries on selling a kidney just to replace the screen. The affordability, knowledge, and sympathy are all factors that convinced me to recommend this place to all my friends, and anyone who needs repairs.
