Yes! They now offer flights of beer. Four to be exact and so I did decide to take notes on my four beers. Before you had to order the smallest pours to create a "flight" and the reason they did not offer flights of beer was because, And I was told this, that their beers are light so need to offer a flight. Anyway. I like a flight which allows you taste a variety of beers. Enough about flights! Now the deets about the beers I tried on this visit. #1 Television People, 4.8%- Kolsch Weisse w/coriander and lemon peel. This one was my favorite! Super refreshing and not too much lemon flavor. #2 Death Rides A Horse, 5.0% An Italian Style Pilsner- From my notes, an excellent Pilsner. Freaking delicious. lol #3 OG Kush 5.2%, West Coast 420 Pale Ale. A bit too danky tasting but good. #4 Sunny Hills, 5.0% 6th Double Dry Hopped Italian Pilsner. Light, refreshing delicious. A typical brewery with games, good music, and seating inside and out. Situated in an industrial area. Worth stopping by! SYOY. read more

I have had more than one friend say Bizzare is one of their favorite breweries. I was finally able to visit with some friends after a day of adventures. This is a little out of the way for me since Intake the bus so it was nice to visit with friends that drive. It's past and up a little from Fishermen's Terminal. First off the staff was extremely friendly. It is a large open space with tables abs counter tops. Also some outdoor seating. Vinyl collection for sale and a turntable playing music. I'm not a beer connoisseur but I know what I like and my friends was great at making suggestions. Believe I went with Television People. Also they had some and of Hildegard's Verditas Jun. Love Hildegard's stuff and with their recent closure of the beer side it was so nice to find these I hadn't had this and my friend got each of us a can. It was so refreshing and I enjoy low abv this was a 1.5. Loved the vibe and can see why my friends enjoy visiting here. Will be back. read more

Was excited about the cask ale, because it's a rare find on the west coast. Ok. A little bitter for my taste. Good temp, but nothing like what MacLeod in VanNuys offers. Also, a brewery that doesn't offer tastings is a brewery I won't revisit. Bad policy in my book. read more

I believe I first heard of Bizarre Brewing from a Facebook page suggestion or poking around in Seattle searches with breweries. I went to their website and found out that a taproom was on the horizon but wasn't open yet. After that it kind of slipped my mind and I didn't keep track if a taproom opened or not. And that's a mark against me because the name of the brewery I could totally identify with since I consider myself bizarre. When I got reminded of this brewery again and learned that a taproom opened on a free weekend I journeyed to the Interbay neighborhood to try it. Where this brewery is is where Urban Family Brewing used to be which has since relocated to the Ballard neighborhood to the major brewery sector there. But this part of Interbay could be considered a minor brewery neighborhood as there are three in close proximity to each other which would also include Dirty Couch Brewing and Figurehead Brewing. As far as eating goes in this area best hope the breweries have food trucks there. I knew making my way to this brewery that I would be in a hopefully pleasant dilemma. I looked at their tap menu and saw so many unique and intriguing beers that I knew I would want to try a lot of different ones. I was hoping to get a taster tray but the set up here isn't like that. If you want a small pour and want to try several you do it by 8 ounce pours. So on we go to what I had and yes indeed it was a lot of different ones! Between the small pours and taking some cans home I tried a total of nine different beers from this brewery. The fact that they were also doing some kind of lager fest with their own taps and guest taps only made my Achilles Heel ache all the more. Here are the beers I tried. The first one I had was Inside a Broken Clock which was a pale lager which was very good but not necessarily one of my favorites out of the series I had. This was part of the lager fest that I was talking about. Whistle in the Catacomb was the next one I had which was a dark mild beer. I rated this one very highly on Untappd! Wonderful features with this beer for flavor was roastiness, maltiness, earthiness and a smoked flavor. The Sun Myth was the next beer up, a Czech Pilsner which I also really enjoyed(I enjoyed them all to make that clear) with the flavor features of dryness, bitterness, breadiness and citrus with a very crisp snap to it. Teenage Jesus was the fourth beer I tried and was a bitter style beer. Not one of the my very favorites but extremely well made. This was a session beer type with flavors of biscuit, floral, nuttiness and bitterness in what amounted to a very well balanced beer. No Moon on the Water was the next beer I enjoyed immensely. This beer was a stout that was nice and heavy which I was overjoyed to make an exception for because normally I like these beer types when it's cold outside but it was a warm day and this wonderful stout only had me enjoy the experience all the more. Flavor features with this beer was distinctive caocao flavor. The cans of beer I brought home was a Kolsch by the name Television People. I gave this beer a perfect five on Untappd which is something I rarely do. Crisp, lemony, herbal and bitter this Kolsch totally blew my socks off. Sing Swan Song was the next one which was a pilsner that Steve agreed on was super amazing. Aromatic, tropical, hoppy and dry is what you should expect to find with this beer. Who By Fire was the next to the last beer we had and loved. This was an altbier that we liked a lot with the smoky, bready and surprise guest flavor of fig followed with a nice crispness. Our final beer was Floating in the Light. This was a pale ale with a nice creative edge to it. Not only is it yeasty and floral but it also has grapes and a white wine flavor to it. I could easily come back here in a drop of a hat as I feel like the recipes are more of the creative sort than many in the area(at least to me). The place was very popular and a line was always present to get waited on but they got people on their way fast. And of course along with the cans I bought and took home I also had to purchase a t shirt too because I love brewery swag. read more

If your flavor palette has grown beyond the pedestrian lack of originality with IPAs and you appreciate breweries that focus on a specific range of styles, Bizarre is worth a visit--They are carving their niche out with flavorful low ABV beers like pilsners, kölschs, ales, and weiss beers that don't punch you the face simply for the sake of punching you in the face. Yes, they have a few darker options on their menu, but I'm very excited about their direction because if you can craft a good pilsner ... You have my attention--Pilsners are a classically simple style that precious few breweries do well. Bizarre set up shop in the old Urban Family space in Magnolia and I'm thrilled they're in my neighborhood. I suspect that I'll be a regular. read more

Nice brewery! It has a big space and gets crowded on the weekends. You can expect a lot of children around. The beers were decent, I had a German style amber and a Pilsner, both were good. Overall, a good stop. read more

The space itself is very nice. Big, spacious, and bright. Big benches. They said I could bring any food in that I wanted. People, friendly. But, like only 16 cans of beer left in the fridge for to-go and that's it! I get it, 4th of July, but I feel you can't run out. But maybe I underestimate how much beer people buy.
