BJ's Wholesale Club in Commack, NY is located right off Veterans Memorial Hwy. BJ's Wholesale Club is in the same plaza as other businesses like Petco, Paris Baguette, and Michaels. The aisles order and items in BJ's Wholesale Club is similar to other BJ's Wholesale Club. The aisles are very spacious and fully stocked. I recommend downloading the BJ's App. It is an easy way to clip coupons and find items in store. It is very useful. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. I picked up a cake for my daughters graduation on Friday and opened it when I got home. The two-tier cake was lopsided and slapped together like a joke but you can't see that when looking through the small window on the top of the box. I tried to call but there is no way to contact a manager and nobody answers in the bakery. There is no number or email for any manager. I had to pay a baker to fix the cake to make it actually presentable. read more

New is good. They closed and knocked down the old Macy's in this strip mall and raised up a BJ's Wholesale Club in its place with an even bigger footprint because it sticks out even further into the parking lot. I even like the brand new shopping carts, as they silently glide through the aisles, which seem a little wider than normal. Even the restrooms are larger with extra facilities over other BJ's. Each store is set up just a little differently, so if you're used to the setup for one store, you have to shift gears, when looking for your regular items. The bakery dept is in the right rear next to the deli dept and the health & pharmacy dept are in the left front. Meats and refrigerated are typically located in the right rear and produce is in the center rear. Ancillary convenience services are a tire center and an optical dept. Drawbacks for this new store is that they don't sell gas like the ones in Farmingdale and Freeport. I hope they set up a separate BJ's gas station nearby like the one in Westbury. It also lacks a food vendor area like the Dunkin' Donuts at other BJ's, though they do have room to expand at the front of the store. read more

I shop here on occasion. Usually Bulk items( no food ) I saw a 50lb ice melter in store. I could not lift the bucket and requested assistance. To scan the item , purchase and be on my way A very kind salesperson " Anthony" , put it in my cart As I was checking out, I asked several salespeople if I could get assistance putting the bucket in my car They told me to ask the receipt checker" Santo" When I did He responded" don't have anybody" I inquire about a young man walking towards us Santo responded " don't think it's in his job description " Perhaps BJ's employees should all wear placards with their job descriptions I left stunned at his reply. While packing my car, " Anthony" the kind salesman who had assisted me in the store, helped me once again. I have never had a salesperson at Costco tell me it's not in their " job description " . Honestly I love going to BJ I can't think of somewhere else that got better deals but after my experience today I do no want to come back here. This is my local BJ store. As a black person being racially profiled every time I walked out is unacceptable. The way they checked my items vs the way they checked others (white people) is absolutely ridiculous! I can clearly tell I'm not welcome there and unfortunately I need the products they sell. Since I can't do nothing about it... I'll let slide but it's sad. read more

The service and "workers" if you can actually call it work. Is horrible!!! This BJ'S wholesale club in Commack needs better management to oversee their lazy, foul-mouthed employees. We called several times to be picked up, the phone put down on a desk to loud music at first it switched to employees cursing horribly. No one returned to the phone, which is why my husband called back several times to a "member" service girl saying "Oh it's him again," and hung up! We spoke to the manager who made excuses and wasn't proactive in rectifying his "store" and employees. BJ'S CANT HOLD A CANDLE TO COSTCO in service pr merchandise. This type of behavior is why there is so much wrong in service . Don't waste your time or money at that location. B J in Commack is a Joke and Buyers Beware This Store just open up and glad i got a free opening B J Card, Because today I just did away with mind and will never go back It can never be Compare with Costco. Today i went because there was a sale on FIJI Water and figure I pick up a pound of Pastrami and Sauerkraut, and now the Sauerkraut I ask the first 2 employers where it was they didn't know what I was talking about or what Sauerkraut was the last 3 Employers had no Clue where it was said Sorry to me unbelievable now I have a door alarm near frozen area beeping loudly thru out the Store on Top of it all still beeping as I am leaving store I said forget this BJ Store went to front desk to explain to them and they look at me like i head 3 heads, But I still remain Calm figuring when I get Home I call customer service.. Now this is the best part and glad I did not purchase a big item, And this is also why B J has a bad return Policy. Now I calling customer service said it will be a hold time of 10 minutes said ok then said it will be another 10 minutes so I waited 20 minutes finally a girl comes on and I ask her name which she said was Sadie, I try to explain the problem i had in the store in Commack, She said I would need my number and i said why and she gave me no reason so I Said how about giving be B J corporates number which she didn't have then I said where am calling and she was very Hesitant to tell me so I ask her can you tell be the state she said I calling the Country in Colombia That was it I hung up never got my Pastrami or Sauerkraut or to talk to anyone from Customer Service, will never go Back to this store If this Store lasts one year I be shocked read more
