I ordered something from them about a month ago. They charged me, and since then I have heard nothing. I checked the order number, and it does not exist. I emailed them, and they texted me the order number, with absolutely no other information. This is essentially a scam. They may actually do some business, but their customer service is terrible. Unfortunately I had a pretty poor experience with BoxNCase. I agree with all the others about slow responses (pre-delivery took a few emails to finally hear back), and then NO responses (post-delivery I had questions regarding my order that was thawed upon arrival and I was concerned). I did finally get a response back to my 4th email, weeks later. Despite the friendly tone of all my previous emails, my last to them expressed my disappointment and serious frustration that I was getting zero response. At this point I had no confidence. After letting them know that I felt pushed to leave a public review of my bad experience unless I heard back within 24 hours, I finally got a response, that very day. It was rude and snarky. I was told my account had been closed and that they would not be answering my emails, and that "We are not able to offer Free products based on customer demands." No demand from this customer for free products...but if you cannot assure safety, I do think a refund at this point would make sense. Had they responded weeks prior, it may have made a difference. I have never written a negative review before, but his company does not seem to care, at least not for the small customer. It's a shame because they carry some quality products, and had things gone more smoothly they would have been a great resource. Now? I'm out the food and the money. read more

Echoing the countless bad reviews for this business: a sleazy SCAM operation that doesn't have any of the actual stock they advertise, terrible unresponsive customer service, and pulling a bait-and-switch on customers. I ordered product that was advertised with a delivery window in April. When the order never shipped in the anticipated timeframe, I reached out to request a refund. I received an initial response from "Chad" saying the product was due for harvest in early May and "If you would like to proceed with canceling your order and requesting a refund, I can assist you with that immediately." That same day, I confirmed (again) that I would like a refund. I never received the refund, then a few weeks later, "Chad" emails to say that they received a shipment of the product and "If you are still interested in placing the order, please let me know, and I can assist you with that right away." For the third time, I said that I want the refund. Never got a response or refund, after following up multiple times over the course of many weeks. Finally, I told them that I would give them 2 business days to respond to me before I file a complaint with the consumer protection bureau. I waited 4 days and still heard nothing, then filed an official complaint on May 14. Then all of a sudden on May 14, I get an email from Boxncase with a UPS tracking number saying the package has shipped--even though I requested a refund several times and never authorized the shipment, and wasn't even at the address by that point to receive the order?!?! They then told me that they cannot issue a refund until I return the package--so they expected me to print out a return slip (I don't have a printer) and go to a UPS office with a disgusting box of expired fruit for an order I asked to cancel multiple times. They sent Citibank a reply saying that they had shipped it, even though there was no tracking number and the order had been canceled and they obviously hadn't. No QA + no cust svc + shipping price-gouging = BoxNCase stole my money May 1: ordered an item from their website, and triple-checked the quantity, price, and size of the item and ensured it was also in stock. I also was required to pay $23 for shipping. (This wasn't expedited shipping. Just their standard price.) I figured the box perhaps had some weight to it and assumed that was the reason for the high charge. May 7: When I received the shipment a week later, the box had 9 packages of the product instead of 108 as I ordered and paid for. The weight was obviously far less than 108 packages. May 8: I realize mistakes happen, so I replied on May 8 to the email and explained the issue. The last sentence of that email was this: "Will you please let me know the issue and how quickly you can remedy it?" May 12: I sent another email: "I did not receive what I ordered. I originally sent you an email the night I rec'd the package but you have not responded. Please contact me to let me know that you're sending my order on Monday. Thanks." May 13: Pat sent a one-sentence response at 11:11 AM, which was to please send a photo. At 12:26 PM, I sent the photo saying "Here you go!" May 14: I followed up because I didn't have a response: "Hi, I sent the photo yesterday. Please let me know when you will send my order." May 15: I followed up again: "Hi -- I'm looking for a response please because it's been over a week now, and longer since I ordered. Thanks." May 22: Annndddd.... I sent another email asking for resolution: "Hi - It's now been over 2 weeks since I first contacted you. I sent you the photo you requested over a week ago. I need for you to please respond with how you are going to address this before I decide that the only way to get a response is to escalate it." May 30: Today. I have yet to have any response from the company as to how they are going to resolve this. I can't find a phone number anywhere online, nor a name of a Customer Support manager or company owner. So I messaged them a week before asking them what happened. They messaged back saying they did t have what I ordered. The main ones I needed for the party. I asked them when I would get them and they said they do t know. Never got them and it's passed the party and still 2 weeks later nothing so I asked for a refund. They only refunded me 2 of the 3 boxes so I had to message them again. They refunded me after that. But I was still charge a lot for shipping which was $59 even though I didn't get the other boxes. This is clearly a matter of the PACKER being unable to count up to 12. The box itself exactly fits 3 X 3 cylinders with one laid on top = 10. Totally terrible service and support.
