Just moved back to SC and was looking for a natural market with a mix of healthy options. I really…read moreenjoyed exploring Rosewood market, there was so much stuff that impressed me. It's such a cute shop located in downtown Columbia. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. They have so many alternative food options and herbs to choose from. There was a wall of some of the best herbs out there and their vitamin/supplements section had so many different and rare options that you don't normally see in stores. They also sell local items which is always nice to see and a preference for me when shopping. There is also a hot food section with some really delicious options. Perfect for a quick lunch break. I tried the vegan meatballs which were made with pea protein and were so delicious. They had the perfect meatball texture, seasoned really well, and the sauce that came on it was so good. You also get 3 sides and a house-made sauce, so I choose spaghetti squash, potatoes, and broccoli with the spicy mayo sriracha as my sauce. All the sides had really light flavors in terms of seasoning, but were all still really good. The sauce was also really good. They really fill your plates up so you definitely get more bang for your buck. They provide an outside seating area as well as utensils so you can eat and enjoy your food. Don't skip the desserts by the deli, there were so delicious options that provided gluten free and some vegan treats. I also saw that they offer free yoga every Sunday at 2pm and Wednesdays at 6pm! I will definitely be by for yoga and back to shop more and try more of the deli meals!

I love Rosewood Market, and it's really a staple of the local community! I love shopping here due…read moreto the fact that the vast majority of items are locally and freshly made, making it easier to support state farmers and local businesses, and ensuring that your produce wasn't sitting in the back of a truck for weeks before you buy it. They also have a lot of niche items that you can't find at your big-box stores, making it great for specialty-product lovers (in my case, coffee!) like myself! My only gripe, and the reason for four (4) instead of five (5) stars, is that it's VERY expensive. Let me reiterate that I like to support local businesses, and I completely understand that items are not going to be quite as cheap as the major grocery chains; but, some of the products are so expensive that I can't justify spending that much money on them. As such, I can only go to Rosewood Market to buy an item or two, and can't shop there as much as I'd like to. Anyhow, I do love Rosewood Market, and would encourage everyone to at least stop in!

Nature's…read moreAlternative caught my eye while I was passing through Florence, and I'm glad I stopped in, for it turned out to be a good, full-featured health-food store, with a pleasing selection of foods and supplements from quality brands. Plus, the employees were friendly, available, and helpful; I felt very comfortable in this store. The prices were fully reasonable, too. Also, on a personal note: on my random visit to Nature's Alternative, I bought an obscure, regional supplement that ended up helping me in a significant way, when I'd otherwise not have known the stuff even existed -- some serendipity on my part, thanks to this store and the good folks there. So, a word of gratitude, for your meaningful service. Keep it up! :-)

I explained to them some of the items I was looking for and in return suggested target and harris teeter..all places I had been before looking for my items. I told them that it is important for me to support local businesses. I thanked them and wished them a good day. They were not helpful, friendly or inviting, they were short and rude and disrespectful. I felt as if they wanted me to leave, so I did. I was followed out of the door by the owner, then the ower came out of the door to see if I was gone, then waited for me to pull out the parking lot. I will spend my money elsewhere. I will not be going back.

I moved away, and my area doesn't have a Vitamin Shoppe nearby. I was in town recently for work and decided to stop in- and it was just as impressive as I remembered. I bought a few bars as well as some Lenny and Larry's cookies. I think they're the only place in Florence that carries each variety. I prefer Vitamin Shoppe over the other big-box supplement store in Florence, as the employees here aren't out to make a sale and are super helpful if you don't know what you need. The selection of bars and sports nutrition products are great- including running fuels and recovery options like protein bars. I saw quite a few bar options there that I haven't seen in other stores. They also have a nice discount cart at the front of the store with products that will expire soon (usually about a month away), so always check that too. Vitamin Shoppe also has great sales and a FREE rewards program to earn points and coupons.

I was so thankful to have found the Vitamin Shoppe in Rock Hill!! David has always been so helpful…read moreand knowledgable. Every customer I have ever seen walk into the shop while I was there got treated with the same kindness from David. I found the best multi-vitamin when I started going there. It beats any other multi-vitamin I've tried from any other place. I could really feel the difference shortly after switching to Life Fortune multi-vitamin. They are a bit pricey, but so very worth it!!! There are many things in David's shop, and if you're in doubt about something or have any questions, David is happy to help. I have picked up some lovely lavender oil there as well as some other things along the way. I have never had a complaint about any product from the Vitamin Shoppe, and have recommended it to many people over the last several years. I don't stop in as often these days as I stay so busy and the shop is about 35 minutes from home. I wish David had a shop in little Clover/York area.

I will say there's plenty of parking outside with a very clean parking lot. There isn't too much inventory spilling out into the front of the store, which is oh so trendy, but it's tastefully done. Walking in the place is extremely clean, after some of the places I've been recently, this is very refreshing. I'll get this out of the way up front. I used to be a chef so when I see GMO, Gluten free, etc etc I cringe. There is hardly a definitive Government standard by which all these things are measured. Which means more often than not, it's a scam. If you want the real deal, farmers markets are the best bet. With that I observed the pricing like a hawk and comparable items had roughly a 10% markup. Now then I do love their house made foods. Cooking pizzas to order? Come on that's awesome! Desserts and cheeses are ok although I was a little down on their sliced meats and the variety. Their butcher was ho-hum and not very impressive. But... I spotted something I didn't anticipate Kangaroo, Ostrich and Bison to name a few oddities. I give credit for carrying very unpopular items around Summerville. FYI I've cooked ostrich before. It tastes just like beef only almost all lean meat for those watching your calories. I wondered around some more, noticing they had better cereal alternatives with less sugar. They lacked snacks like coconut crisps, but they did have a great assortment of dried fruits. Although I was impressed with their dried mushroom selection, no dried shiitakes! Generally, I like fresh, which they did have, but I wanted the juice from soaking them. Odd they have other mushrooms but not shiitake. The people here are fantastic. For some reason in my mind when I think of these "hippy" type of stores like Earth Fare I think very grounded and kind people. I wasn't disappointed as I asked the produce guy for something and he was all too eager to help out. If it were me, I would have been more like "check isle 3" or something. The employees are shining examples of down to earth kindness; something we all could use more of in these days. Overall, I like this place based on principal but those same principles are what keep me away. I'm not overly excited about slapping on GMO free labels when most of the time those are just buzz words to make an extra buck. Are there authentic companies out there? Sure but you really have to do your homework. Therefore, I remain committed to farmers markets. That said, I think this place is fine for those who like it. If you haven't been here before and are reading this be prepared for a slight price increase. To reiterate they do have an interesting variety of items greatly depending on specific products. I'm sure if you drop by you wont leave empty handed especially with the quality of people there to help.

A great place for fresh salads, exotic meat like bison and elk, and tons of sea food.read more
