I went in to get a gold chain repaired. I picked it up it was a whole different chain. They stole my original chain gave me a smaller. Chain told me they had to stretch it out. Kirk the person who checked me out knew it was whole different chain. They rip offs stay away from this place I would never in my life they stole something that was very priceless and replaced it with trash claiming they fixed it but they stole my original gave me a cheap chain back this is ridiculous stay away please . read more

The manager Kirk sold me an engagement ring and swore it was natural diamonds. it didn't suc work out with me and my ex so I went to try and sell it back to him, his brother told me they'd give me half back but come back tomorrow cuz Kirk was off. When I went back Kirk claims the owner isn't accepting any buy ban backs. so I took out to two pawn shops they said the diamonds were fake. I called Kirk and told him that so he said the pawn shop lie to get over on you, ok cool. Then I took it to Kay jewler and then to Jareds and they both said they were fake. Called Kirk from Jareds store and he tur then claims that he's the only person in the state with a real diamond tester and that Jareds was fake. BJ pawn shop is scammers getting over on hard working ppl that's looking for alleged good deals. They need to be sued and shut down. But believe in working on it because I have video of the scammer swearing that the diamonds were natural and not lab. read more

I came in late Friday to buy a used Ps4 which they had two. They said if any problems they would swap it out. We had a problem...just before they close on a Friday and we all want to go home on Friday yet they waited for me to come back for the promised exchange. When you buy from a pawn shop you go in with a mind set knowing it's a used product so it's a gamble but the customer service you get from that transaction is what will get a repeat customer. I had to come on and give a review to the most amazing person I have met in a long time and renewed my faith in humans. after having my wallet stolen along with my debit card I stopped in BJs to see what I could get for an item. just neeed enough to get me gas for the next day to get my kids to and from school. i was greeted by Doc. warm smile and exuberant personality. really really wish there was an option for 0 stars! I don't think I've ever been treated so blatantly rude by a merchant that's trying to make money in my life. I was next door shopping and decided to pop in and see about gaming systems for my kids. Just looking and shopping around, you know, like most smart normal ppl do before making a big purchase? I walked in and also noticed a great guitar I was considering for my daughter. When asked about gaming systems I was told what he had and showed one. The (I'm guessing owner) was very aggressive and made it known from the start he wanted me to buy his system or get out. I felt pressured and he had nothing but attitude and treated me as if I was wasting time by not just throwing a hundred and forty bucks at him for a gaming system that looked not in the greatest condition . He mentioned someone else backed out on a purchase now I see why. Once I politely told him that hat I did not get paid until next week but that I was considering coming back....( I was considering coming back for the three hundred dollar guitar I saw on the way in) before he could let me say that he cockickly told me with an Aristide to just come back next week and pulled the product away all the while making comments about how I shouldn't shop until I have money and basically shoved a business card at me and then walked away! I told him never mind I wasn't interested in doing business with him anyway and that I could see why he was having such a tough time moving his stock. I also threw the business card back down. I literally sat there stunned for a few seconds and Said ok a few times because I was so shocked and trying to process what just happened. This guy is a joke BJ's pawn shop has HORRIBLE customer service. It only to me a 2 minute total interaction for me to realize this guy is garbage and treats ppl horribly. Needless to say I won't be going back for the THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY dollar guitar I was pretty sure I was gonna go back and buy from him! The guy only offered me $100 bucks for a ring that costed $350 and had only been worn twice but when he saw it wasn't gold (I guess he only prefers that which is fine), he was like "I don't want it sorry" and basically threw the ring back at me. My husband took our tablet up there to borrow some money on it until payday and they let us borrow $75 on it about 2 weeks ago. well I took it the next week to borrow money again and there were 2 older guys there and they thought they were gonna hustle me and only give me $35 when I just had gotten $75 the week before. They looked it up and seen that I had gotten the $75 the week before and so they gave it to me, but told me next time it wasn't going to be that much. But what they didn't know is I will NEVER do business with them again. They were very rude and had very bad attitudes! read more

I brought in two pieces of jewelry. A Cartier love bangle and gold diamond earrings. The man seemed very disinterested and told me the bracelet was a fake and offered me $20 bucks for the earrings. I left and paid to have it appraised and received over $3,000. If your looking to sell here it's unreliable and unreasonable. They don't know anything about jewelry. read more

While one pawn shop is much like another in terms of how much they can charge and how much slack they can cut you, BJ's stands out on their selection of guns. They must have been poaching estate sales or something, because they consistently been having a nice selection of Smith & Wessons and Colts. Last time I swung by, they had a nice looking Walther P-5, a mint Browning High-Power with adjustable sights, a nickle-plated, pearl gripped (real mother of pearl, not the plastic "mother of bowling ball" that Taurus puts on their pimp-cannons) WWII Ithaca made 1911A1, and an Astra 400 (Browncoats would recognize this as the sort of gun that Dobson used to shoot Kaylee), amongst other interesting items. read more

Well they made "some day" happen for me THAT day! The gentlemen, Chris and Robbie are now "family". I passed through here earlier today, and my experience was, well...strange. I will preface by saying that I'm probably not their target clientele as I have never pawned or sold jewelry this way, nor have I ever been to a pawn shop. I would also like to add that I was not really expecting any great sales to happen, since I was bringing in a few little costume-y pieces that were just given to me, and I was aware of their little-to-no value, being that I was just doing some summer closet cleaning and planning on either donating or giving away these items to friends. I figured hey, why not try, and shop around the store for some new jewelry all the meanwhile. I was greeted by a sweet blonde girl who directed me to the man who was to evaluate the items. He didn't really greet me before he began looking through everything, basically scoffing and laughing under his breath, which I found to be a bit condescending and unprofessional. I guess I just found it very unnecessary, as they had no other customers in the store at the time that I could've been possibly taking him away from serving, etc. While he was evaluating the stuff, I saw some pretty pieces in the case that I probably would've bought, and I would've liked to shop around the store a bit more to look over the instruments, etc, but the weird attitude I got really turned me off from buying anything here. My review is not in disappointment for my items not selling, as I would imagine most negative reviews would be alluding to; it's just in response to the weird vibes I got while I was there. Even if you are just stopping by to shop/browse their jewelry selection, I'd suggest you take your business elsewhere because even as a customer, you'll probably feel like you're bothering him. read more

The jewelry expert tried to offer me 30% of what my gold is worth and insulted me until I left when I called him out on the offer being way too low. They're obviously used to preying on people who are desperate. I went to a pawn shop down the street and got double what they were offering. I still cant believe how terribly I was treated. Accidentally went in 15minutes before closing the other day. The lady that was helping me I apologized and offered to come back another time. She said "no worries" but the older gentlemen who is the manager was cursing under his breath at us and was incredibly rude. It was a very VERY awkward and uncomfortable experience.
