I went here to celebrate my brother's birthday with my family and I enjoyed this location. It didn't take long for our party of 5 to get seated and the restaurant was full--bustling with people but clean and well kept. We ordered a few appetizers like the avocado egg rolls and the potstickers. Both were pretty decent but I enjoyed the potstickers more. I was pretty impressed with the tavern cut pizza which I was able to customize with any toppings of my choosing and their protein bowl which was very filling. And then you can't go to BJs without a famous pizookie. We ordered 3 mini ones and also enjoyed a complimentary birthday pizookie as well. These did not disappoint and the cookies were so soft that I almost regretted getting the mini version. I believe on Tuesdays they have a Pizookie deal as well so you should definitely check it out. I've been coming here for half my life and never had a problem. However along with their remodel inside they lost about half their menu. They don't have calamari anymore, and theirs was one of my favorites. We tried to order the appetizer sampler but they said they were out of sliders and cannot make changes to it. No great white pizza. Very limited pizzokie options due to lack of ingredients. The workers were good but the lack of menu and options was so off putting. This place is close to the hotel I stay at when I'm working nearby. It was absolutely packed with a long wait on a Tuesday night which is a good sign. I found a spot at the bar so no wait for me. The bartender let me sample their brown ale, Nutty Brewnette. Browns are my favorite types of beer so I was glad they make one. They're hard to find. It was one of the best I've ever had. Yum! Then I ordered the bone in wings with their spicy dill pickle ranch rub. The wings were big and very tasty. I'd get them again in a heart beat. Service was awesome and various folks besides the bartender checked on me often. I've been to other BJ's but never been to this location until this time, there's so many good restaurants nearby. The Interior and restrooms are very clean. I see why this location is so popular. I'll be back next time I'm in the area. read more

For the most part the food has always been solid here. There are hit and miss items like what every other place. I do miss the great white pizza that they used to have here they don't do it anymore. They also changed the recipe on the chicken fettuccine Alfredo, not for the better either. Ordered it the other night and I was like what is this on top? I thought it was a truffle like thing, but I was told it was grated Parmesan, it's not as creamy and rich as it used to be. The chicken is chopped up instead of placed on there like how it used to be as well. It's too bad that they didn't stick to what was really good before. The shrimp scampi pasta is good still, but I won't be ordering the Alfredo anymore. I only ate half of it and threw the rest out. It was a late night order, and they were closing soon so the last thing I wanted to do was question everything after the fact that night. But, to be honest, I had really thought I had gotten the wrong order and had called the restaurant the next day to ask more questions about the recipe since I didn't get what was pictured. They confirmed that the recipe changed and that it went live on Thursday. So it is what it is, I told them I didn't really like the new recipe for feedback purposes. But of course their beers are always some of the best. They do make a pretty good Wagyu burger too. The California Chicken Club is a favorite of mine too, but I really wish they would bring back the great white pizza though. That was a BJ's signature and now sadly gone. read more

Always love coming here! Were warmly greeted and seated right away. Michael J was awesome. He was friendly and took our order right away. We ordered the $13 meal deal and it came with a personal pizookie. I ordered the smash burger with fries and asked for honey mustard on the side and he actually brought it out with my honey mustard m. My husband ordered the personal pizza and it came with a wedge salad. Everything came out really fast and was delicious. The pizookies are always the star of the meal. We enjoy coming to BJs in Chino Hills. Today we went for dinner and saw all the wonderful changes they have made since the last time we were there. New menus. New TVs. New booths and more. It felt like a fresh, different vibe. Jasmine was our server and she is the nicest. Very attentive. We always sit in the bar area but today there was a sign that the booths in bar area are not walk up anymore and must be sat at by the hostess. No problem we waited a couple minutes and one became available. Overall a great dinner tonight as usual. Keep up the good work BJs. We'll be back. Before my mom's death this year BJs Chino Hills was her favorite place to visit. She would have loved all the new updates. read more

Came on a Friday around 6pm for dinner. Ot was pretty busy. Our server Michael was very attentive. We did not have to wonder where he was or wait for him to take our order. He was also very knowledgeable of the menu. He brought the kids goldfish and fruit while we were waiting for our meals. We ordered the pretzel appetizer, Steakhouse wedge salad, Tri tip entree, corn dog kid's meal, chicken tender kid's meal, and monster pizookie. Everything was delicious. read more

If I'm being honest, I used to love BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse. It was one of my go-to spots. But lately? It's gone downhill--and not just at one location. I've tried multiple (Chino Hills, City of Industry, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Brea), thinking maybe it was just a one-off experience. Nope. Same issues every time: poor service, subpar food, and inconsistent quality. This particular visit was probably the worst of them all. We were there for about two hours, and I think we saw our server maybe twice--and the place wasn't even busy. Ordered two red ales, and they came out barely cold. Sent them back... and somehow got what felt like the exact same beers, still not cold. Come on. Then the food. We ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza, which used to be amazing back when BJ's first opened. Now? Completely different story. The pizza was mostly crust with barely any sauce or toppings. Dry, bland, and honestly just disappointing. Couldn't even get our server's attention to bring ranch to help salvage it. We figured we'd give it one last shot with a pizookie... and somehow that was even worse. The cookie was overbaked, and the ice cream was completely melted--basically just cream poured over a hard cookie. Not even close to what it should be. At this point, it just feels like BJ's has lost what made it great. If you're still a fan, hey, more power to you. But if you've never been, I'd honestly say skip it--especially the Chino Hills location. There are way too many better spots nearby to waste your time here. BJ's... do better. I won't be back, but for everyone else's sake, I hope things turn around. read more

Shoutout to our amazing waitress, who swapped the deep dish for flatbread like a pizza wizard--10 points for customer enchantment. For $13, I enjoyed flatbread pepperoni extreme pizza, Caesar salad, water, and of course a sugar cookie pizookie. It felt like a victory lap for my taste buds! So disappointed bc they took away the very thing my family and I order every week. They changed their menu and discontinued many of our favorite entrees. They did not replace them with anything new, they just took them off. The remodel of the building is beautiful, but the food is not the same. So disappointed by the change. I'm really disappointed with the restaurant's new rules. Walk-ins are no longer allowed, which was frustrating and confusing for us. For example, a Deaf customer may walk in without knowing about the new policy and be met with a rude attitude instead of a clear and respectful explanation. I'm worried that other customers in the future may receive the same treatment. Unfortunately, we're unlikely to come back unless the walk-in policy changes. We were longtime customers and used to be able to walk in and enjoy a meal without this issue. The food is still good, and we appreciate the service we've received in the past, but we're very disappointed with this change and how it was handled. We'll probably be visiting Chili's more often instead. It's unfortunate to lose longtime customers over a policy like this. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and considers making the restaurant more welcoming and accessible to all customers. Thank you for your service. read more
