I've never left a review for a chain restaurant before and I'm delighted to do so today. Most people leave reviews based generally on how well they are treated and that should come with the territory but this one particular BJ's is DIFFERENT ! The food is above the rest and probably the best in all of this city. Today I decided on something I've had before but this time it was without question the Best I have ever tasted. Shrimp Scampi Pasta, this time it was truly delicious. It looked so beautiful in the dish, professionally prepared. All the right seasonings and cooked to perfection. I complimented the chef halfway through my meal and I found it was prepared by a female chef. Thank you again. My wife had the fried chicken special which again was another home run. I must say during these past few months the food here is an 11 on a scale of 10. The reasons for this wonderful experience could be many things but your manager seems to have a handle on it all. She's excellent with her customer service demeanor. We have been recommending BJ's a lot during these past few months and will continue to do so. I only have one concern. Why is the music so loud in this one location ? We are there to eat and converse not shout over loud music which has nothing to do with the ambience. That issue aside, many of the entrees from the pork chops to the Tri-tip are some of the best tasting and nicely presented food. It's all good. Food is usually good but buying a personal pizza through door dash is a rip off. It's basically $20+ for a kids pizza. Lesson learned. I'll be ordering through the BJ's website or eating there. Door Dash is ridiculous. read more

This place is close to the hotel I stay at when I'm working nearby. It was absolutely packed with a long wait on a Tuesday night which is a good sign. I found a spot at the bar so no wait for me. The bartender let me sample their brown ale, Nutty Brewnette. Browns are my favorite types of beer so I was glad they make one. They're hard to find. It was one of the best I've ever had. Yum! Then I ordered the bone in wings with their spicy dill pickle ranch rub. The wings were big and very tasty. I'd get them again in a heart beat. Service was awesome and various folks besides the bartender checked on me often. I've been to other BJ's but never been to this location until this time, there's so many good restaurants nearby. The Interior and restrooms are very clean. I see why this location is so popular. I'll be back next time I'm in the area. read more

Came on a Friday around 6pm for dinner. Ot was pretty busy. Our server Michael was very attentive. We did not have to wonder where he was or wait for him to take our order. He was also very knowledgeable of the menu. He brought the kids goldfish and fruit while we were waiting for our meals. Not sure why it took so long for a party of two to be seated. Lots of empty tables. Besides the wait, service was excellent. Food was good. We both ordered the pizookie specials. If I'm being honest, I used to love BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse. It was one of my go-to spots. But lately? It's gone downhill--and not just at one location. I've tried multiple (Chino Hills, City of Industry, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Brea), thinking maybe it was just a one-off experience. Nope. Same issues every time: poor service, subpar food, and inconsistent quality. This particular visit was probably the worst of them all. We were there for about two hours, and I think we saw our server maybe twice--and the place wasn't even busy. Ordered two red ales, and they came out barely cold. Sent them back... and somehow got what felt like the exact same beers, still not cold. Come on. Then the food. We ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza, which used to be amazing back when BJ's first opened. Now? Completely different story. The pizza was mostly crust with barely any sauce or toppings. Dry, bland, and honestly just disappointing. Couldn't even get our server's attention to bring ranch to help salvage it. We figured we'd give it one last shot with a pizookie... and somehow that was even worse. The cookie was overbaked, and the ice cream was completely melted--basically just cream poured over a hard cookie. Not even close to what it should be. At this point, it just feels like BJ's has lost what made it great. If you're still a fan, hey, more power to you. But if you've never been, I'd honestly say skip it--especially the Chino Hills location. There are way too many better spots nearby to waste your time here. BJ's... do better. Amazing because I spent only $20, tip included! Met a friend here for a quick bite and some much-needed catch-up. We splurged on the $13 pizookie deal, which felt like dessert diplomacy. Shoutout to our amazing waitress, who swapped the deep dish for flatbread like a pizza wizard--10 points for customer enchantment. For $13, I enjoyed flatbread pepperoni extreme pizza, Caesar salad, water, and of course a sugar cookie pizookie. It felt like a victory lap for my taste buds! We went to the Soup and Fresh next door but the food did not look appetizing for $20/person. We decided try the $13 Pazooki meal deal at BJs Brewhouse CH. This is our 2nd trip in one week. Last week we had the Strawberry Salad and Country Chicken. Today we had the Smash Burger and ALL you can eat Soup and Salad. All the food we ordered was delicious and yes it came with one Pazooki per order. For $13? Hell Yeah! It's often either overcooked, or they get so busy that the food sits out too long before it's brought to the table. You can't go wrong with the avocado egg rolls, and the artichoke dip is always good. The pizza is decent, but you have to eat it right away--otherwise it becomes tough once it cools. BJ's (Chino Hills) offered the $13 Meal Deal. I had the Southern Fried Chicken entree and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Mini Pizookie. This limited time, weekday combo cost $13. It's a delicious, large meal. In addition, I ordered a cup of Clam Chowder ($6.79). Small portion and overpriced. I dined at BJ's (Chino Hills) on Tuesday (1:30PM). I was immediately seated. My server (Bryan) is friendly and knowledgeable. However, it's difficult to wave any staff down for assistance. Staff tends to vanish and reappear and vanish and reappear. Like clockwork, servers immediately return to the back kitchen or far corner booth. I waited 7 minutes and 18 seconds for the Clam Chowder. It's adequate. It's not exceptional (very limited clams, very small portion); however, the Clam Chowder is thick, creamy, and well-seasoned. It's freshly cooked, overpriced soup. 15 minutes and 30 seconds in, the Southern Fried Chicken entree arrived. Oh my. It's delicious!! A flavorful, satisfying dish. BJ's (Chino Hills) have brilliant chefs. The chicken is thick and moist; its breaded crust is crisp and flavorful. The gravy is peppery and creamy. And the mashed potatoes is buttery and velvety with tender potato chunks. Tasty!! Unfortunately, the accompanying corn came cold and chewy, like chilled jelly beans. But that's easily overlooked. Overall, the meal contains a melody of comforting textures and peppery, savory flavors. Next, the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Mini Pizookie is satisfying and sweet. It arrived in six minutes. Vanilla Ice Cream resting on a freshly baked, sweet and doughy macadamia cookie. The cold ice cream complimented the hot cookie. And its macadamia nut gave a delightful crunch. This thick cookie melts in your mouth. Regarding ambiance, BJ's (Chino Hills) is clean, spacious, and slightly chilly. It's well-ventilated but the dining area does get cold. The music is a mishmash of 90s and early 2000 tunes. One moment, it's country music... and immediately after, it's NSYNC pop music singing "Bye Bye Bye." Tired of the constant mistakes on to-go orders. Normally I completely understand forgetting things every now and again, but it's just getting ridiculous especially as a paying customer and ongoing inflation. This has not happened once, twice, nor thrice. It has happened on almost every order I've had to-go through friends, myself, or family throughout the years and recently. I've lost count on how many times I've ordered to-go from here and there's always something missing on an entree in the order. Examples include if I order their Enlightened Asian Chopped salad, some days the oranges will be missing, or if I order their Southern Fried Chicken, some days the corn is missing. I don't ask for any substitutions. I only order them straight. Due to just understanding those rough days from the employees/cooks here, I feel at this point I'm a doormat for constantly dismissing things as "understandable mistakes" over the years and just nodding my head as I eat something that I paid full price for missing ingredients promised and advertised on your menu. Today, after an excruciating work day, I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken for dinner - lo and behold, yet another error. The Southern Fried chicken is missing the cream gravy, making the entree dry and in cohesive. But I guess it's not missing the corn this time right? I'm tired of it and I wish I wouldn't have to keep paying full price for missing ingredients. However, on the bright side, the Star I'm willing to give is that every time we go in person to eat in this restaurant and NOT to-go, has always been flawless and a wonderful experience. So congrats I guess?! My parting words will be: can you guys PLEASE put in all the ingredients as advertised for your food? Absolutely unacceptable. We waited 2 hours for simply 3 pizookies just for one of them to be raw. Our server took a while to get to us which is understandable since it was busy but finally 1.5 hrs being there we received our pizookies and noticed it was raw we informed another server she was blonde with a messy bun she gave no concern and made us seem to be over reacting. she said " we can't put the pizookie back in the oven since it has ice cream" which was obvious even though we were asking for a new one not for it to be put back in. We then told our server which then brought us a new one but it still came out raw. we told them again and they made us seem stupid and avoided us after. He did not check up on us not once. We waited a while for the check and asked another server which then proceeded to give us a nasty look. we waited for too long so we went to the front desk which then our server ran to us and handed it to us I'm very disappointed this is by far the worst location i've been to and i'm not one to complain. read more

The floors were disgusting, there was food still on the chairs and table and had to ask for someone to clean it. Food was ok but it did make me think how bad the kitchen could be if the floor where guests are were that dirty. I wanted to leave feedback regarding a very unpleasant experience my family and I had on May 12th. Unfortunately, I cannot provide the name of the server because he never introduced himself or gave us his name at any point during our visit. He was a tall man with a beard. The experience started when my brother ordered an alcoholic drink and politely asked if the alcohol in the drink could be substituted. The server responded by saying, "It won't taste any different." My brother then explained that he prefers it that way because it tastes better to him. The server simply replied "okay" in a very rude tone. Later, after everyone had ordered, the server brought our drinks. When he brought mine, it looked completely different from what I had ordered. I politely told him that I didn't order that drink. He responded by saying, "You said raspberry tea." I explained that I had ordered a Brisk Raspberry Iced Tea. He then looked at me and my family before finally saying, "Let me go ahead and get you your drink." Once our food arrived, another server came to our table and told us that our previous server had left. However, we later saw him still walking around the restaurant. The new server then had to ask us about our orders because the previous server had not given him any information about what we ordered or what we needed. I do want to give credit to the last server we had, Isaias S., because he provided excellent customer service and was very respectful and helpful. After a full day of shopping, dinner and a movie, my date and I were looking for a late night spot to have coffee and dessert. We both decided to come to BJ's due to their late hours. When we arrived around 8:30 on a Saturday, the place was packed with a 30 minute wait, so we opted for the bar area at the hostess' recommendation. The service was outstanding. We were brought the dessert menu along with two cups of coffee. The brownie pazookie was perfect. My girlfriend and I love to talk and the staff never tried to rush us from our table. Luckily the crowd thinned a bit so we were holding up others from service. We shared the evening until after 11 and BJ's provided the perfect end to a wonder day. Service here is always quick. We only really come here after 9pm for a late dinner. Pathway to restroom is always a little slippery be careful. Deep dish pizza always comes great. Crispy bottom but soft on the inside. Deep Dish Nachos is huge! Only complaint, BRING BACK the Cinnamon Roll Pizookie. It was my favorite. Cinnamon roll dough had the best texture, a little chewy but fluffy almost like a silky sourdough. And it wasn't too sweet like most of their pizzokies. read more

On a Thursday night, was able to walk right in and sit down without a line. Front desk staff is happy and accommodating. Ordering went quick as well as the food prep and delivery time. The food itself, ...well that's where things went south; the flavor and look of the burger and fries was sub par, the meat tasted like frozen patty multi packs you would get from smart n final and not much seasoning. The fries on top of being cold also had no flavor; so make sure ask for ranch or something to dip them in. Also had the cookie ice cream and that was warm and paired well with the ice cream, but I remember from years back that treat was larger in size unless the portion size was related to the meal deal. The portion sizes for the $13 meal specials were a bit small as well, and while I get that food costs can be a factor on top of labor costs for business owners, there is too much competition to offer sub par quality, size and lack of seasoning. The ambiance of the place was ok with with the TV's on the walls and not to much in regards to volume level. The restrooms were clean enough and the parking lot during rain was a bit cramped but that's of course to be expected and not reflected here. All in all BJ's needs to step up their food and quantity game, as for a now I'll have to stay away until that happens read more

Today my service was off putting , my server "Erika" was rude to us towards the end of the meal. My boyfriend tried to pay at the table but we noticed there were a few extra items we didn't order. We had mentioned it to the server and she replied saying "it was probably just not updated from the last table, I'll print another tab to show you." To me that sounded like an excuse, because that would mean the table before us walked out on them? I work as a server myself, and I know how frustrating it gets when it comes to other tables and a big party, but giving your other tables attitude when we were just confused on the tab was concerning.
