    Beer flight
    Alicia N.

Dropped in with friends on a whim. The place was busy even on a weeknight. I had to circle around a bit to find a spot which was still a few doors down. Inside, there were lots of tables. The vibe was quite chill. Definitely a good hangout spot. I'm not into IPAs which is super popular among craft beer fans. Still, there were a good number of selections that were not IPAs. I ended up getting a flight and really enjoyed everything but the Pepper & Peach and the Root & Fruit which were the two hoppy ones I ventured out on a limb to try. They weren't bad, just not my preference. Everyone at the bar was friendly and helpful.

I came out here because @gofusiongrill was the food truck of the day, and was pleasantly surprised with the selection and the quality! I loved their gose, which was tart and fresh and paired well with the food. They had games, good music, and a lot was family-friendly! I have come back a few times since, and it has been an equally great time.

Claremont Craft Ales is a local brewery that is dog friendly. My husband and I came to this brewery with a family friend two Sundays ago (unfortunately sans our little girl dog). We arrived at 12:45 pm. We just had one person ahead of us in line, there were also other patrons just hanging around enjoying their beer. We ended up ordering 2 beer flights, $30 total. My husband paid for our family friend's beer flight and I just tried a little bit of my husband's beer flight. Our flight came with 6 beers of our choice, in which my husband got: Willow, Mixed Berry, Sweet Nothings, Claremont IPA, Pepper and Peaches, Grapefruit IPA. I really liked the mixed berry and would order a glass of that. I also liked the pepper and peaches, which I wasn't expecting to be so good. I'd also order a glass of that too. The other beers were okay but both my husband and I didn't like Claremont IPA. We thought it was the worse one and wouldn't get that one again. There are dog bone treats at the register and also juice boxes are complementary (the employee at the register offered one to me since I didn't order a beer, lol). There is plenty of indoor seating (that is also dog friendly) and also plenty of outdoor (partial covering with umbrellas) seating as well. There was a food truck setting up around 1 pm but I believe you are welcomed to bring your own food here since this brewery does not serve beer. There is plenty of parking in the back and not as much in the front. This is definitely a great local brewery and I see ourselves coming back here with our little girl next time.

Claremont craft ale sign you guys gotta try the 12th anniversary beer. And my all-time favorite is 35 miles NE

Such a fun spot! Lots of outdoor and indoor space, great selection of beers and very friendly staff! Really enjoyed visiting here and will be back!

Located about 7 mins from Downtown Claremont, this brewery will provide some of the most popular beers here in SoCal. Jacaranda is one of there best IPAs. One of my favorites is Pepper and Peaches. A lot do their beers are very hoppy. But have a lot of variety from reds, stouts and ales. Open seating and with a decent outdoor seating as well. I got a sampler and a pint. Sampler for some reason, some do the beers were a bit warm. My beer from my pint was perfect. They are located in the same parking lot as Ironbark Ciderworks. My wife was not interested in any of the beers so she and her friend decided to walk to Ironbark. She got what she likes and the boys got their beers. Would be awesome to see a collaboration with Claremont Craft and Ironbark in the future. Possibly closing the parking lot that splits the 2 companies and have maybe some weekend collaboration. Just a thought. Overall. Good vibes. Great staff.

I finally made my way to Claremont Craft Ales and boy did I quickly realize what I had been missing. I love a refreshing IPA and this spot has plenty of them.We didn't realize they had flights of six and started with a pint. Then we almost didn't make it to a flight because of the poor food truck service from District Burger. Thankfully we stayed and were able to try a good amount of their beers between two flights. I could list the ones we tried, but honestly. you would be making a good choice with any of them. They have something for everyone, with such a large selection. The spot itself wasn't too busy for a Saturday afternoon. Might have had something to do with the heat, but there was a fan in their indoor seating that made the heat bearable. I loved how dog friendly they are, as they have dog bones for the fur friends and even sell portable dog bowls. Definitely would recommend trying out this spot if you're in the area. If you see District Burger is the food truck, save yourself some money & happiness by picking up a pizza beforehand.

    Blueberry gose and raspberry gose

The raspberry gose and the blueberry gose are amazing. The environment is family friendly, lively for a Friday night. Will definitely come back and enjoy the activities they have.

Ask the Community - Claremont Craft Ales

Do they have a baby changing table in the restroom?

Yes, in the north bathroom next to the lobby.

Do you have a food menu?

The food truck is different each night. There is a calendar at https://claremontcraftales.beer/taproom

Do they have any non-alcoholic options for DDs or people who just want to hang out with their beer-loving friends?

Yes! Ginger Ale, Root Beer, and flavored sparkling waters are available.

Can you bring your own food?

Yes, absolutely! Also, feel free to have something delivered to you while you hang out in the tasting room.

Do you know if they have a good stout beer? Do they have good selection of it?

Our current taplist is always available on the homepage of our website. We almost always have at least one dark beer (stout, porter, barrel aged) on tap.

Do you offer a gluten free beer?

Unfortunately no. We do sell several "gluten-reduced" beers that should be just fine for people choosing to consume a low gluten diet, but if you have an allergy to gluten, we recommend that you do not drink our beer.

    Is there WiFi?

    Yes!

Do they allow smoking outside? (Cigar, Tobacco Pipes)

No we do not. The Claremont municipal code prevents any kind of smoking or vaping, even on our outdoor patio.

    Do they allow dogs?

    YES!!!!!!! Very dog friendly!

Do they have any nitro beer?

They have rotating handles, but usually yes!

Avoid this place like the plague. I used to come here all the time as they had the brand Surfside,…read morewhich is one of my wife's favorite drinks. I came in today, 9/2 , around 11 AM after shopping at Stater Bros and after looking through the whole store, saw they did not have the Surfside drink in stock. I saw the worker was helping a customer behind the counter, so I abandoned mission and left. About halfway across the parking lot, the insane employee from behind the counter ran at me screaming and confronted me and immediately tried to take my 12 pack of Celsius that I bought at Stater Bros next door and accused me of stealing from him. You should have seen the look on his face when I produced the receipt and told him that just because I entered his store, doesn't mean I'm obligated to buy something. He as quietly as possible muttered "sorry" and walked back into the store as I shouted "I'll never be back!". I thought the selection was incredible here and the location super convenient. But I will never return and I will urge my friends to avoid this location as well. I will instead go to Bourbon Street across the lot, or just drive to BevMo in the future. I apologize on behalf of the community if you have been the victim of theft in the past, but this is about the WORST way to address the problem.
