Yard House rocks! This place never lets us down. Good food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lively ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pleasant servers. Good drinks. Plenty of beer selections. Can't go wrong if you want to have a good time with friends, family or a fun date nights.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat on the patio area since the bar area music was loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We waited for a bit before someone came to ask if we wanted water. Finally our waiter brought our drinks. We ordered veg wings half and half. They were delicious. The garlic shiitake noodles, first order came with chicken pieces so they brought us a fresh plate. That was nice of them.

It was ok ... they need to refresh their menu. Service was good , I just wish they keep their beers on stock . [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very loud[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] .

Had not been here for a few years and was looking for something different for me and my family, I recalled them having a good stout and saw it on the menu, but was told they were out. I ended up ordering a belching beaver stout which seemed flat and a little sweet for my liking. For an appetizer we ordered the cheese curds, they were good, but could have been cooked a little longer. For the entry I ordered the BBQ bacon cheddar burger, which for $20 I was not impressed. The size, flavor just wasn't there. It was a little dry and lacked the wow factor. My daughter also ordered a burger and said it was dry as well. Service was just ok, nothing stood out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place was pretty busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It's been a while since I've visited any of the locations in SoCal but my mom moved and didn't want to worry about cooking or cleaning so we came here. Service was good from Kashmir and it was definitely a sports day cause the place was booming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The energy was going and every tv had a different game on which was expected for this establishment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything was clean compared to other cities that have a Yard House.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For the food, I was pleasantly surprised that the quality was still up to par. We had some kids with us and unfortunately the kids Mac n cheese was lacing flavor and cheese. The kids chicken tenders were standard. The fish sticks plate was huge and I was shocked at how good they were. The spicy tartar sauce was awesome. I'd come back again for sure

Service is alright, it's what you expect on a Sunday night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside of the restaurant is very busy and full of talking again it's what you expect, but they seem to keep up with the cleaning when switching out tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now the food was eh. I ordered the lobster garlic noodles, which come with spinach, shrimp, and shiitake mushrooms. Eating it for a few minutes, everything just tasted like shiitake mushrooms, and I could not taste much garlic or lobster. Just mushroom...

Nicki was a great server! She was friendly, responsive and enjoyable for our full experience! The food was delicious and such great quality for the price! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was clean and so was the bathroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A light bulb was going out in the women's restroom but hey no biggie.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We love the variety and the consistency of Yardhouse. Can't wait to go back!

I haven't had Yardhouse in quite a while, but my wife was craving some Super Fries but there wasn't any restaurants around that had Super Fries. However I remembered that Yardhouse had Frachos that could be like super fries. So I ordered over the phone and didn't really think anything of it because the hostess knew what I wanted and finished the order. When I came home, it was quite a disappointment that it was regular steak nachos (chips), and not fries, hence Frachos. It clearly says Frachos on my receipt, but it was the wrong order. Don't get me wrong the nachos were good but I wished my order was right when I picked it up.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Ethan, thank you for making my birthday dinner such a blast! You were attentive, patient and hilarious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You truly enjoy what you do and it shows. Drinks and food were delicious but the ladies and I enjoyed your radiant energy the most!!

Right now, this is one of my favorite places to go. The food is absolutely delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The environment is stimulating fun and exciting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers are always helpful and friendly with great smiles. My mother is a favorite of the whiskey, glazed salmon with garlic, mashed potatoes, honey carrots, and baby broccoli. I usually get the Aji tuna poke nachos, which are so delicious. I devoured the entire plate to myself. Then I'll usually get the Cobb salad because they have one of the best Cobb salads out there I believe in Southern California. Keep in mind I am still on the hunt for the best Cobb salad so stay tuned in other reviews. The Yard House is really known for their eclectic collection of beers from all over the world. That I usually go for one of the yummy martinis or the smoked old-fashioned, which is my best bet. The Yard House also has really amazing hamburgers with cheese and bacon the whole 9 yards. I've been to this location in Chino Hills, and also the one in Long Beach right on the boardwalk. For an awesome experience check them out you definitely won't be disappointed. Their menu has a little something for everybody. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's romantic with a great vibe so you could take a date or family like I do.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Art house at 13881 Payton Dr. in Chino Hills gets my Yelp elite five star review and my personal recommendation. Bon appétit.!

Yardhouse gets a bad wrap but i have always enjoyed their happy hour. The HH offerings are sizeable - food and drinks. On a particularly glutton-ous Friday evening, I treated one of my aunties for HH. We ordered a bunch of items -- lettuce wraps, chicken fingers, sliders, queso and chips, garlic noodles, pizza, calamari and Brussels sprouts. Love their sangria and pineapple mule as well. Those never fail. All of this for about $100. Can't beat it.

Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai
Chewson H.

First time at this Yard House and came during lunch. Restaurant was pretty much empty and had a good amount of parking spaces. Overall, look and feel is like a normal Yard House. Nothing too out of the ordinary. Ordered some items like a lemonade, guac and chips and a chicken and shrimp pad thai. The lemonade tasted standard but there was just too much ice. Granted it did have free refills but getting the refill was an issue. More on that later. The guac and chips tasted good, but there wasn't enough chip for the dip weirdly enough. The chips are made in house as it was warm when we got it. The chicken and shrimp pad thai originally comes with chili flakes and I have to say, unless you like spicy, I would opt without it. I ordered mine without it and it was still pretty spicy. I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce they use because it was just so nauseatingly creamy with the peanut butter sauce or something like that in there. Most pad Thai have bean sprouts to give it a nice refreshing crunch but this one didn't. I wasn't a huge fan. Service here is really slow. Like it took 2 hours to finish the lunch. That is from ordering to finish eating and getting the check. The restaurant wasn't busy or packed when I went so it was just hard to service when needed. Even pressing the service button on the little computer didn't do much. It takes an awful long time to even get a refill for drinks, get the food, and to get the check. I was sitting around for a while looking for a server to get the check. The interior of this place is black with dark color themed. Typical bar theme and just standard Yard House styling. Overall, service needs to be improved in terms of speed and availability. I think this yard house is a bit worse than the others. Would I recommend this particular one? Me thinks not.

Jumbo Bavarian Pretzel
Britney M.

Service was very slow. My drink was empty for a while and we barely saw our server. It was Father's Day, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt, since it was really busy. We waited about 40 minutes for a table. Not bad, considering. The food was fresh and tasty. I enjoyed the cheese curds a lot! Those were cheesy and heavenly lol I also ordered the avocado toast and that was good. I like that the avocado toast had some cheese, and veggies on top. The toppings were fresh. The gardein wings were all right. The texture was more like tofu, than chicken. I would not order those again. The parmesan truffle fries arrived to our table cold. Those are not good when they are cold. The giant pretzel with beer cheese, was overcooked. The pretzel was hard and visibly you could tell it was overcooked. Most of the food was good. A couple things were not. The fries being cold and the pretzel being overcooked, could have been due to how busy they were that day. Ambiance was very busy and crowded.

Service was okay, although the cashier seemed to be going through the motions and wasn't particularly engaging. The restaurant appeared clean at first glance, but I did notice a few food safety practices that I think are worth bringing to management's attention. While handling ready-to-eat (RTE) food, employees should change their gloves and wash their hands whenever they leave the food preparation area or touch items that could contaminate their gloves. During my visit, I observed one of the cooks, an older gentleman, step away from the line and use the drink dispenser located in the dining area. Afterward, he returned directly to food preparation while still wearing the same black vinyl gloves. I did not observe him remove his gloves or wash his hands before resuming work. I've included a photo showing the location of the drink dispenser for reference. Later, I noticed a chef from the restaurant across the street stop by and hand food to the same cook. Rather than seeing the food taken to a designated employee area, it appeared to be placed near the cook line. If observed correctly, this could increase the risk of cross-contamination if proper food handling procedures were not followed. On a positive note, I did observe the front-of-house staff washing their hands appropriately as they transitioned between different tasks, which was good to see. Overall, this isn't a bad place to eat, and I enjoyed the food. I simply hope management takes a closer look at these food handling practices, as following proper glove-changing, handwashing, and cross-contamination prevention procedures helps protect both employees and guests.

Staff is always nice and knowledgeable. We normally bring our wine and just have it corked there, but last time we were here, we enjoyed their selection as well. We love the interior with all the brick and lowered lighting. Provides a little more intimate of a setting. We actually came on my birthday in April (sorry the review is so late), but the staff all signed a birthday card for me and left confetti on the table. Nice touch. The food. We had the lava shrimp to start and of course the freshly baked loaf. I can't say anything bad. It's all fresh and the flavors are amazing. I got the venison chops cooked rare. Wow. First time I've had venison like this, and man. The presentation was cool. Waiter brought it out covered in glass and opened up the container in front of me so I could see the smoke leave the plate. She got the surf and turf, which is always nice. Steak cooked perfectly, lobster cooked perfectly, potatoes with the brown butter were delicious. As a visual person, it did hamper the ambiance for me, especially since I was sitting right next to it. We were the only table that wasn't a couple, and even when it got more crowded, the noise level was pleasantly low. Our server asked us how we felt about salt, which was very much appreciated. AMARETTO SOUR: 3/5. Very sweet, and orange-forward which is a new flavor profile for this cocktail for me. BREAD & WHIPPED BUTTER: 5/5. Served warm. The bread was pillowy soft, and the butter, (which was more air than butter and therefore definitely zero calories), was delightfully salty. BRUSSELS SPROUTS: 5/5. I've been burned by so many poorly done sprouts that I don't order them anymore, but my partner wanted to try it and I'm so glad we got them. Zero bitterness, and crispier than an newly minted dollar bill. OCTOPUS: 5/5. Grilled to perfection, soft, not rubbery. The spices in the romesco sauce were aromatic and punchy. STEAK TARTARE: 4/5. Good. These crostinis were the most crostinis to have ever crostinied. The perfect vessel for the rich steak. MUSHROOM SOUP: 5/5. This is the first time I've found balance between being truffle-forward without being overbearing. Usually I'm done after about two spoonfuls, but all 3 bowls (shared between 6 of us) were cleaned. SURF & TURF: 5/5. Owen's checks internal and external temperature, which means steak is cooked true to the way it's ordered. More impressive is that they didn't overcook the lobster. A moment for the gorgeous blue plates; they are heirlooms, and only 7 of them exist in the world. CHILEAN SEA BASS: 4/5. For me, the radish did a lot of heavy lifting in balancing out the saltiness of the soy vinaigrette and richness of the fish itself. STEAK FRITES: 4/5. Again, perfectly cooked steak. I only had one fry, and I thought it was a damn good fry, but my partner did say it eventually got salty. And he loves his salt. CAMPING TRIP: 5/5. The crust on the salmon, the theatrics of the hot rock, the fresh veggies. It's a classic for a reason. MAITAKE MUSHROOM: 4/5. While it was good, I didn't find myself continuously reaching for more, as I nearly always do with mushrooms. ROBUCHON POTATOES: 5/5. AKA indulgent, buttery velvet. A labor of love well received. STRAWBERRY TART: 5/5. While the strawberries were phenomenal, the vanilla (?) custard was a little heavy for me. My mom inhaled it though. CRÈME BRÛLÉE: 5/5. So good. I don't know when it became normalized to serve crème with an Ozempic-thin layer of brûlée, but thank you Owen's for not doing that.

After waiting, we asked again through the hostess because we were ready to pay. At that point, Val appeared visibly annoyed when approached. When she finally brought our check, she made a comment saying, "OH, THAT'S CHEAP," which we found very inappropriate and unprofessional. Additionally, while my husband was signing the receipt, she was tapping his card on the table, which again, very impatient and disrespectful. We have been loyal customers of CPK and have always had positive experiences, which is why this interaction doesn't sit well with me. We completely understand that restaurants can get busy, but the tone, comment, and behavior we experienced did not reflect the level of service we've come to expect.
