Started with no carts available. All available carts were at the very back of the parking lot. Lots of trash in the parking lot. Checkout woman was incredibly rude. Told my husband he should have not put heavy items on the conveyor belt. She threw an item at my husband to put in the cart. I should have spoken to management today, but honestly just wanted to leave. Cannot wait for Costco to open. read more

I hadn't realized it but we've been members of BJs now for over 20 years starting our membership in NY. I'm at this BJs at least once per week and some times joke with the employees who say that I'm here all the time. They have a good selection of bulk items and recently have expanded the produce department. Samples happen in the afternoons usually on the weekends. They do have the lowest prices for deli meat and cheeses. Unfortunately they closed their small snack area which was located at the entrance. Ample selection of fresh meat with onsite butcher which will cut meat if you want something different from what is packaged. Tires and gas are competitively priced. Returns are quick and simple. They have a mostly self serve cash lanes & employees, for the most part, are friendly and helpful. Gold members get cash back and depending on how much you shop, the cash back more than covers the annual Membership fee. read more

Not a bad place to buy groceries, though I still prefer going to Costco for most of my warehouse shopping. The place is definitely older and could use an update but the items are pretty solid. I do love the various coupons I have access to on the apps and I come here when I'm too lazy to go to white marsh. Checkout is pretty fast, it is always pretty empty when I go (evenings). Shopping center is a different type of grocery store which is very similar to a Walmart but for massive shopping. Most grocery stores will have you buy one item, but this BJ's will have items come in bulk so you will have to buy multiple of the same item. This is a good and a bad thing at the same time because you need to buy in bulk then if you only need one, but you can get multiple of them for a cheaper price at the same time as I said! Bulk buy made us get two bags of bagels instead of just the one that you see in the picture. Memberships are good for discounts for buying our gas for our cars too so that is a definite plus. read more

During COVID19 BJs has made efforts to provide hygienic options such as wipes, hand sanitizer and a hand washing station for customers. My problem is I pay for a membership that can't get me toilet paper within a two week period. I'm left to look out at stores that sell packs of 4 when I'm used to buying in large bulk. Never been out this way and needed gas. And behold after searching online BJ's popped up. This one is not as hectic as the one near me, but it was close to closing time. It was well lit and clean. Never went inside the facility. However I decided to clean my car windows and found the squeegees had no good rubber to remove the access water. So thank God my ice scraper in my car has a rubber wipe. read more

Other than the size of the items, I don't think there is a benefit to having a membership. The prices were either comparable or more than Walmart and Amazon. I looked at price per ounce, price per pound, price each for a few items I was interested in and with the price of membership I just didn't see the value. Good for running in for a quick item because it is seldom crowded. During the day you probably will only find the self checkout available, no open registers staffed. Don't bother using curbside pickup for anything heavy because they will just mark it out of stock so they don't have to get it. If using a coupon you better in in quickly, an employee told me that they usually run out of couponed items pretty quickly. If you can't find an item look up in the higher racks. Several times I have found the item up there. You will then have to find an employee to get it down for you but they will. I much prefer Costco, better quality and service but BJ's does have more items I think and the quantity might also be a smaller size than Costco. This particular location has declined over the years both the facility and service. Suggest that you don't signup for automatic membership renewal. They gave me $205 to renew my $110 membership. How's that for a good deal. Word of caution, their gas is not top tier. read more

But these days, honestly, I can spend just as much in household necessities (toilet paper, paper towels, etc) here as I can when buying the same amount at a regular grocery store. This location is always packed. Honestly, I hate Constant Friendship shopping center in general. It's always too congested. I do like the fact that I get coupons frequently for BJs, and I do like to get certain items in bulk. But overall, they aren't what they used to be. read more

One of the workers actually walked me around to help me look for the product that I came there for, and when he saw that it was not on the shelves, he actually went in the back, found it and brought it back to me, and then restocked the shelves with the product. I actually grew up going to BJs and now that I live on the west coast there is Costco's (both stores are wholesale). But this store has great selections in the biggest sizes (lol). And that's amazing. Prices aren't bad at all and they have more than just food: clothes, appliances, electronics and a little food area. Some things you just have to get in bulk and this is the place to get it. My one thing that I used a lot that I love the price on is the olive oil, you can get a big gallon for $14-17 and if you go to a regular grocery store you will get 750ml for the same price (I think). Going here is definitely worth it for things like that and toilet paper :-) The only con is the shopping center as a whole. it was poorly constructed with only one entrance. We were stuck on 2 days before Christmas in 2010 for hours trying to get out because of the poor construction. But BJs as a store is great! read more

Here are the areas that need improvement, Checkout lines are too long, 20 mins waiting in line is unacceptable. Receipt checker line is too long , no one wants to wait another 5 mins when they just stood in a line for 20. Add more cashiers, time is money and if you can't staff the store customers will not renew memberships. Having a 15 lane capacity with 5 closed isn't saving money. You are lowering your bottom line by hampering revenue flow. All lanes should be open and capable of self checkout when not staffed. Listen, Innovate and deliver. Complete the receipt checks in the checkout line, you are bottlenecking customers trying to leave , not making customers happy and ultimately creating a negative shopping experience. Amazon is knocking at your door, don't go down like this. read more

The optical department's customer service, thoughtfulness, thoroughness and the amount of truly helpful information that was shared with me blow me out of the water! Mike, the gentleman that took care of my 11 year old daughter and I, gave my daughter the attention deserved when a young lady is looking for the perfect glasses. He even helped me understand what options I should choose and why they are important to improving the quality of life for my daughter! I cannot say enough good things about Mike and this BJ's optical department! Kudos on taking care of customer's first! My review is based upon the lack of counter help at the deli at this BJ's deli. I am at a loss why there were only two people working the deli counter on a Saturday? I hate being stuck waiting for 15 minutes to get waited on at a deli counter that is under staffed. I don't visit this BJ's very often and I guess I will stick to the one in White Marsh as their deli always seems to have at least 3 or more people working their at any given time. read more

Pretty good, whether you're a small or large family, or shopping for an organization or party, or just stocking up. I've been going here since it's opened. They generally don't give you grief should you need to return an item. I've had good luck with their food, especially in the meat and seafood departments. Other products are usually good to very good including the house brand Berkley and Jensen. The store is limited on selection and sizes of clothing though. Definitely use the coupons that come in the mail as well. Some things- shop around though, things like soda I've found as cheap or cheaper at Walmart or the local grocery stores especially when they're on sale. Try to avoid going there on a Saturday or right before a Holiday or impending storm- as the line can be out the door and the shopping center can be a royal traffic jam- with BJs being at the very end of a 1 way in and out. read more

The people in management, customer service and those "upstairs" of this store are rude and disrespectful and make you feel like a bother. (I will say most everyone else is very nice.) This part of the staff treat customers with the utmost disrespect! I've been a patron of this store since moving here over 10 years ago and have spent an obscene amount of money through the years! Each visit it gets worse and worse! Don't waste your time or money on this place! Go to Wegmans for your bulk items. I'd give this review 0 stars if I could. BAD customer service, two ppl only working at deli on the weekend. I waited while this lady was getting a mans order while the man just stood there cutting meat for no one, he saw us standing and waiting. Finally when lady was done i figured she would ask what i needed, nope. When i got tired i finally was like excuse me, then she says oh do u need something. Duh i been standing here for almost 10 minutes waiting while other deli working is cutting meat for no one.
