I went on a weekday afternoon because I needed to get some items for a give away. It was pretty quiet in there. It was fully stocked. I got everything I needed. Use the self checkout and it works just fine. I love that they have the gun that you can use. I wish that you had an option to do multiple items on the screen, rather than having to scan each item individually. I will say that their shopping carts are very old and rickety. I purchased a membership here because they had a special for $20. I saw it in Instagram thinking it was a joke but it was the real deal. I went to the store on a Sunday morning. Customer Service advised they didn't have something to make the membership card but that it was also located in the app. Ok I used a mobile cart and rode around the store. I've shopped at many warehouse stores like Sam's and Costco, but BJs, especially the one at East Point Camp Creek, is by far the worst. Their return policy is a nightmare, and the service? Even worse. One time, I had to wait an entire hour because the only person who could handle returns was running late--seriously, one person knows how to do returns? When she finally arrived, I was told I couldn't return my item because I didn't have my original card I purchased with. Seriously? Unlike Sam's and Costco, Bjs has no flexibility, no solutions, just rigid policies. It also seems like the staff absolutely hate their jobs. I overheard an employee bad-mouthing a customer the moment the person walked away--totally unprofessional. Management here needs to do some serious training and supervision because the attitude and service levels are unacceptable. How this location is rated a 3.7 is beyond me; it deserves a negative score if that were possible. Avoid this place if you value your time, sanity, or basic customer service. read more

I will never purchase tires here again. Been coming for the past couple months to get air because the tire I purchased here keeps going low, but there is no hole(faulty). So I finally used the road hazard and had to pay more for the new tire than I paid for the original tire. My appointment was at 3:45. It's currently 5:12 and I'm still here. Apparently the person that booked my appointment didn't write it down. They have one person working(always) and he's having to stop and assist everyone that walks in, including answering the phones and selling/filling propane tanks(three to be exact). So since the last time I reviewed this BJs they have added great tech features that allow me to streamline the check out process. Now I can use my cell app BJ to scan the products I want to purchase and pay without standing in the long register lines. This by itself, to me makes the shopping experience pretty awsome. read more

I HATE this location. I've waited to post until I've either decided visit a less convenient location or leave BJ's altogether. For starters, Madelyn A nails it. Where is the cafe? Where am I supposed to snack when I wait on my car? Also, where the liquor department?! I mean. NO LIQUOR department? C'mon man! My biggest gripe is their tire service. Maybe it's an region-controlled policy. But coming from Florida, I've gotten my tires done at various locations across the state. I usually got them rotated & balanced around 6500 miles. Here. I bring my car in after 6700 miles and they turn me away. Apparently I have to drive at least 7k miles before getting serviced? What kind of policy is this?! I mean, if my tires wouldn't need to be balanced before the 7k, I might not gripe so much. But when I coast, I definitely feel my tires unbalanced. Sketchy service together with a questionable policy, I'm glad I will no longer be doing business here. Or how about the time when I showed up to get my tires serviced and they didn't have anyone to work on them. Instead, all the employee behind the register could tell me was "our tire guy called out and we can't guarantee when he'll return." No time frame for returning. No nothing. I mean, I know for fact they don't only have one person. read more

For those who aren't familiar with BJ's it's similar to a Costco and Sams but it doesn't have a food concession up front with pizza, hotdogs, drinks etc. which is unfortunate. But I do like BJ's because it's not as packed as the other wholesale clubs I mentioned before. Also the gas station isn't nearly as packed as Costco. This location has a huge parking lot and it sits kind of distant from other business which makes it easier to find parking. They have been following covid protocols since the very beginning and still are requesting all customers to wear masks. I come to this BJ's for just about everything from groceries to clothes. Their clothes are actually really cute and they have a better selection than the other stores I mentioned before. The deli has a huge variety of meats even more than your local Kroger or Publix which I love. The produce is fresh everytime and every single time I go to BJ's there's always a worker in the produce section fixing something or adding more product. The store itself is super clean all the time which is a plus. And I showed pictures of some items I love to get from here. The store needs a lot of work on customer service so I can't give 5 stars. They always seem to be understaffed. I've seen maybe a total of 5 workers in total each time I go. All 4 of them are at checkout just standing there and then one guy in produce. They aren't helpful at all even with the lines being super long they just stand there. The checkout is very confusing because there's self checkout under 15 items which all of the self checkout lanes aren't open lol weird. There's some self checkouts with price guns. Then there's a checkout over 15 items that is also self checkout. Then there's a checkout with an actually person. So with all of this confusion no one is helping at all. read more

This poor location faces quite a bit of difficulty. I'm not sure if it's management, staffing, or another factor that creates the issue, but hopefully one day there will be a focus on providing quality products. I visit this store quite often based solely on the fact that it is convenient for me when I leave work (I'm actually considering trying to find another location for BJ's to see if this experience is standard or limited to this location). The presentation in the store is pretty good (merchandised well and easy to navigate). However, in the fresh food section it is quite difficult to find items that aren't expired. In fact, In one section alone I was only able to find 2 (in more than 70) that were NOT expired. When I told the employee who was stocking the meats he said "Of course it is..." He grunted, and walked away. Continuing on to the sliced meat section there were several that were so past their quality date that they had taken on a different color. The reason I give this store 2 stars is really because of the cashier staff. They are always willing to lend an extra hand either with scanning, filling your cart and even getting boxes for you. I have never experienced poor customer service from anyone in the front of the store. Additionally, the bulk items (anything not fresh) is quite well maintained and rarely out of date. That coupled with the fact that we can use manufacturer's coupons and store coupons on one item keeps me coming back. Word to the wise, just be extremely cautious when purchasing fresh food items. Always check the dates, and don't bother interacting with anyone outside of the cashier area. The gas is pretty affordable as well. read more

Still got the cheapest gas prices in town. I get to the point, where I get upset with myself when I have to purchase gas from other locations. I've fallen hard for their bag of frozen scallops. Nice size and quantity for the price. The brand Wesley Farms is exclusive to BJ's and I also buy the bag of jumbo shrimp by the brand and generally get about 40 shrimp per bag. it warehouse size, so I have to keep focused, but for things like detergent, cases of water, frozen foods and produce, you can't beat the quality or price. This location has far less products than the clubs that I've shopped in the Boston area. The customer service is far below expected standards. There are a few employees who are friendly and helpful but there are far more who are rude and lazy. When checking out its worth waiting for a cashier. If you have an issue at self checkout it usually takes too long for assistance. Some of the employees covering will actually ignore the flashing light until you call them over. Yesterday I don't know where the person covering self checkout was. I had a problem with an item not ringing up and it locked the register until I got help. When someone finally showed up I had to have them void my frozen foods as they had been sitting there for over 15 minutes. I have had enough poor experiences in this location to consider canceling my membership. But I will probably keep it just for the gas station. read more

This place officially lost me as a valuable customer because I have seen about 50% of people (guests and employees) don't wear masks and few of them were coughing. I called and filed a complaint about this issue and they stated they followed CDC policy. I want to make it clear it doesn't matter if anyone was vaccinated or not everyone still can get the virus. Keep in mind I am vaccinated however I still wear a mask for protection purposes. I then decided and went to Publix and I was very impressed because everyone wore a mask and none of employees and guests removed their masks as far as I have seen and I felt safer and less at risk. I made my request and the employee proceeded to cut the meat with one hand and the phone in the other hand. He was really absorbed with his phone conversation. Merchandises such as big screen TVs, grills, appliances, chairs, groceries - this may be a good go to spot in the area for the price when you think of long term benefits. On a Saturday, it isn't overcrowded like the other wholesale stores. But boy oh boy, the check out is SUPER SLOW! Membership fee is cheaper than the rest : $35 for 12/mo isn't bad at all. The whole point of me coming to this location was because I happened to be in the neighborhood and what better place for me to fill up on gas before headed back home. I'm thinking , plus Bj's is running the 10 cent off for gas provided you shop first. Sounds clutch right? Uh...nope. not here anyway. Showed up 15 mins prior to closing just to run in grab paper towels and make a mad dash for the gas. Why are there 20 people in line with 30 items each and only two lines open? To add insult to injury....the gas stop doesn't care if you're held up in line making use of the necessary requirement for the 10 cent off gas deal. Forget about the fact that the cashier mentions they get complaints all the time about the lines being slow and people missing out on gas. C'Mon BJ's you gotta do better. read more

It's not Costco. Those stores didn't choose to open a location in a predominantly black area--BJs did. They have their own brand and use coupons through the app and circulars. Stay away from this store. It is very unprofessional and it's staff steals. I left my wallet there and long story short the cashier "MOST" likely took it but the store is not revealing what the video shows and is not tell me either. This makes me believe they are covering up the thief. The Surveillance manager "Star" kept saying she would call me back but I've been going to this store for 3 days trying to get this done and keep getting a run around. This place is huge! I mean, when I walk in here I imagine that this is what it must feel like to be an ant inside of someones house. Who knew that there were so many "things" available for sale. Crazy! Anyway, this is a place where you must go if you're ballin' on a budget! My first trip was to purchase food for a cookout. We bought a 1000 pack of napkins and a bottle of BBQ sauce that could feed the whole US Army. We also bought a radio that was nearly $70 cheaper than at Bestbuy and an iPod. This is one of those stores, that you need to keep in your back pocket. When money gets tight or you have to entertain, this is the store to shop at. read more
