I had very low expectation for this salon. All I wanted was a trim since I wanted to keep my length Ms Kim recommended a UV shape rather than straight across horizontal haircut. This is my first time at BK Salon, but I will be back. I called for an appointment with Kim based on Yelp reviews and she did not disappoint! She washed, cut and styled my hair for a reasonable $35. I haven't colored my hair in years so I can't speak to that. Kim is very friendly and asked questions about what I wanted. I showed her a picture of my hair from a previous cut that I liked and she nailed it!

When I first found KIM earlier this year I was really glad. She was friendly and my first hair cut was fabulous. However each time since has seemed progressively worse. This week I had the worst hair cut of my life. Even my husband commented how bad it was and that I need to do something to fix it. Said that it looked like a kid came and just whacked one side short. It was supposed to be angled on both sides of my face to fan my face. I asked for a trim of no more than 1/2 inch. However the left side was not fanned, doesn't match the right side and is cut at least two inches shorter in a straight line. I feel humiliated. I couldn't tell at the time because of how she curled it when she blew it dry... well not until I got home and could really see it. Just how horrible. Even my son came home today and offered to try to "fix" my hair.

Kim did an amazing job with my hair! I asked for a cut with layers. Before cutting, she showed me how much she recommends cutting. She was extremely gentle with my hair and did not tug at all compared to most of my hair salon experiences. She is extremely sweet and welcomed me with open arms. Went to have my hair done there by reviews. Yes, Kim is very very sweet. She did great on color, but butchered my hair. So dang short! Also did not follow cdc protocols. Blew dry hair, asked not to, should have walked out then Next customer came in and did not wipe down seat where I just was....not right!!!!!! No recommendation here!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I came here on a whim because they were having a grand opening deal (50% off services!) and came to get lowlights. The owner (maybe Kim?) worked on my hair and did a fantastic job. She has since touched up my roots and gave me a trim. She has worked many years at Regis and decided to open up her own salon so her skills are up to par with fancier salons. She is so incredibly meticulous when it comes to foil placements and making sure your hair looks natural. This is seriously my favorite salon to go to because you truly get the best bang for your buck. I got tired of paying $150+ to get my hair colored and I feel like I am in good hands whenever I come here. :) read more

I felt like he should have charged for his consultation because he spent a GOOD amount of time providing advice and feedback, time that's worth money, especially when I was his last client for the day and it was getting late. Because he didn't charge extra for consultation, I provided a good tip. What I wish beforehand, which isn't really John's fault, is how to enter the building. It was late, so the door was locked -- luckily, there was someone who let me in. If you ever encounter this situation, just text John and he'll come open the door for you! I cannot say enough good things about Mrs. Kim at BK Hair salon. This was my second visit to her, and once again, she exceeded all of my expectations. Not only did she manage to squeeze me in last minute, but she also went above and beyond to ensure that I left the salon feeling like a million bucks. During my first visit, Mrs. Kim gave me the cutest haircut and added some amazing highlights that perfectly complemented my features. I received so many compliments on my hair, and I couldn't have been happier with the results. So, naturally, I had high expectations for my second visit. My hair was in terrible condition, with split ends and an overall unhealthy appearance. Mrs. Kim had her work cut out for her, but she tackled the challenge with grace and expertise. She worked her magic, and by the time she was done, I felt like a completely new woman. My hair felt so light and healthy, and I couldn't stop running my fingers through it. But Mrs. Kim's exceptional service didn't stop there. She also took the time to entertain my talkative 9-year-old daughter, who can be quite a handful. Mrs. Kim managed to keep her engaged and happy throughout the appointment, which made the experience even more enjoyable for me. I can not say enough about Kim and BK Salon! She was able to rescue my hair after a reputable and upscale salon in Fort Worth mangled it. She spent 45 minutes asking questions and looking over my hair to determine what look I was going for, what was wrong (everything in my opinion) with the other salon's results, what she could do to correct their work, and let me decide which option she suggested would meet my needs. She and her staff were very concerned about what I wanted and explained everything to me as she went along. She took my hair from $#!@% to beautiful!!! I will definitely recommend BK Salon to my friends and can't wait to go back for more great work from Kim. read more

Tried this new hair salon and stylist Kim Nguyen upon the recommendation of my niece. So happy that I did! This is the best color and cut I've received in ages. I showed Kim the color I thought I wanted and pictures similar to the style I desired. I described how I wanted the highlights. Kim recommended a combination of two of the hairstyles and a slight modification to the color I showed her so that the highlights would show up better. I told her to go for it and I'm thrilled with the result! Kim is from the Regis salon and knows her business. She also wants her clients to be happy and satisfied with the results. My first time experience was great!!!!!! Kim- hair stylist is super nice! She was very welcoming!!! Initially went in to remove my blonde, and go back to my dark black roots. She advised me to do it slowly because it could damage my hair. So I listened to her and picked a light brown and loved it!!!!!!! Im so glad I listened to her. All because the hair salon I normally go to is closed on Mondays! Thank God for BK, because Im now going to stay with BK!!!!!!! Highly recommended!!!! read more

I called BK Hair Salon for the first time because another salon cancelled on me at the last minute. Kim was able to squeeze me in on the same day and did the most beautiful job on my hair. I originally went to a different salon about 3 months ago and had a horrible experience so i was understanding of the stylist couldn't get exactly what i wanted, but she tried to get as close to the picture as possible and communicated with me throughout the whole appointment. Want a true designer stylist? Ask for Cessy! She has cut, colored , styled my hair many times and truly cares about clients and getting their hair exactly as they want it. They cut me and my daughters hair in a way that I could style it like they did in the salon. Usually it looks great going home, but then after washing at home, it;s a mess. I moved to Arlington last November and have been looking for a hair salon. I had mid-back length hair, showed Kim a picture of a chin length cut. She nailed it. My hair looks great and it was all very reasonably priced. I've been to much more expensive places and did not get good cuts. I will definitely be going back. read more
