I had 4 services; The Lagoon, 90 minute massage, pedicure, and facial. I felt that it was imperative to book the lagoon before my massage. Anabella was the first to earn my 5 star review. I booked my services on Vagaro and left a note regarding my schedule and she called me right away to get that all squared away. She worked through many scenarios to get me the full day that I wanted. And she did! She was thorough and patient with all of my questions. Absolutely stellar service! Declan Cooney: Where do I begin?!!??? Declan is a master masseur who must have finished first in his class with precise surgical knowledge and understanding of the human anatomy. Declan relentlessly pursued my knots and ensured they were worked out of the fibers and snapped free from my body. He followed through with masterful understanding of biomechanics as if he were Leonardo DaVinci sketching the muscular system. His introduction was intuitive and insightful... he would be monitoring my body for signs of discomfort and adjust accordingly and he was going to apply enough pressure that he felt my body needed. With every stroke and manipulation, Mr. Cooney demonstrated the experience of 1,000 lives. If you do not give classes on massage therapy then future generations will be truly missing out. To say you are a miracle worker is an understatement. I have searched high and low for someone as skilled as you and I found you, in Glendale, Arizona. Have been here for the Lagoon Experience a few times now. I really enjoyed it for the cost and for what it was. But they have now increased their cost for a week day lagoon pass from $35 to $50 for 2 hours. And based on my previous experiences, I cannot recommend this place anymore. Let's start with the cleanliness and treatment rooms: The locker room and bathroom appeared clean. However, on more than one visit, I saw uncleanly spots around the spa including near the shower area everyone uses to rinse off between treatments. The hot tub area was also questionable cleanliness. Same with the walls (noticed lots of build up of what I can only hope was water harshness and not mold). Also, they need to do some tile repairs if they want to charge more now for the lagoon. Many tiles throughout are in rough shape! The service: Pretty good at a $35 price point for 2 hours. But not at what they are charging now. It's very basic check in for a med spa experience, and not elevated in any way. They do, however have someone to come tell you when your 2 hrs is up which is nice because if you spend more time than you booked they will charge you overage fees. The amenities: Really poor quality "snacks" filled with sugar and limited selection. They have an okay selection of hot teas, though, which I had each time I visited. If they bring back the $35 weekday pass, I'll consider trying it again to see if they have made any enhancements (and deep cleaned/repairs) Otherwise, I probably won't go back. read more

I found this place on Instagram and had a very relaxing experience with my husband this past weekend. We got the lagoon passes, in addition to a massage for him and a back facial for me. Starting the experience in the locker room, which welcomed us with a robe and slippers, as well as under eye molds was super cool. They advise that you start the lagoon experience first if you're getting any kind of facial experience. That being said we were able to hang out in the meditation room where they had some snacks, relaxing, music, and comfortable seating. After that, we transitioned to the lagoon room where we follow the suggested steps of the shower, then dry sauna, then cold shower, then steam sauna.. all of the different experiences were stimulating and unique activity for us! We thought that we could do the minute in the cold plunge, but the cold plunge one that day lol. The massage and back facial or also quality experiences which helped us relax and forget the stresses of the week. The spa has so many other services and addition to retail beauty products that you can purchase. One of the best part of the experience was the woman at the front desk who handled our reservations and answered the phone when I called. I believe her name was Annabelle. She's a gem and needs a raise! My only complaints about the spa with the locker rooms. When I went to shower after the lagoon experience, but before the facial, I realized once in the shower that I had no idea where to find large towels. In addition to that, there's a slope in the shower that was kind of strange since it's right at the place where you stand and the water shoots down on you at. Declan is the best massage therapist I've ever had! He asks beforehand if you have anything troubling you then tells you how he is going to address it. It's by appointment only so make an appointment and it's very private it was only our group the whole time we were there. They give you 2 hours to enjoy amenities privately. They have dry sauna, steam sauna,jacuzzi, and cold plunge. Bathing suits are required and they give you sandals and robes to wear. They also have hair ties, brushes, razors, tampons, blow dryer,and pads in the dressing room in case you forget. The hours are 9am-7pm. We bought the Groupon they had and it was a great deal. He booked a Lagoon experience, the 2 hr Lagoon Duo pass. It was so well organized and the hostess was great explaining everything to us. I didn't take pictures but it was so cool. My friends and I had been looking for a group friendly place to have a relaxing mental health day and BL Spa kept coming up as a recommendation. We looked into their Lagoon Experience and booked a spot. Before you even arrive, the communication is really effective about your waiver, experience expectations, robe and slipper sizes, confirmation, etc. (all via text message). When the five us arrived, you could tell the amount of time and care they put into each session. They had our individual names written on our lockers with our right size robes and slippers in each one. There were our exact amount of towels and water bottles waiting for us too. We were given a tour prior to changing so we would know how best to utilize our two hour session. We changed into our swimsuits in the locker room, put on our robes and slippers, and headed into the meditation area. Comfortable seating, diffused scents, and essential oil rollerballs made the perfect first stop in getting ourselves turned off from work and into relaxation. After a few minutes, we headed into the Lagoon room. Here you alternate between dry and steam saunas, the Scandinavian bath (like a big hot tub) and either a cold shower or a cold plunge in between each "station". The cold plunge is a 52 degree bath and it was something I had heard all the benefits about but never tried. I don't handle cold well, so I got brave and tried it. I lasted only about 15 seconds. My friends were absolute champs and were able to stay in, some to the whole 90 second maximum limit. The steam in the steam sauna was piped in with some eucalyptus I think and it got the sweat goin' real good! The Scandinavian bath was delightful and was spacious enough for all five of us to lounge in it at the same time. There was also plenty of seating, including padded lounge chairs and you could enjoy some infused water also. Our "attendant" did a really great job of letting us have our time and giving us space and reminding us of our time, so we knew when to wrap up. Side note: everything was super clean. If you have been to a spa or gym before you can tell when they don't take care of lockers rooms or the saunas. The steam sauna especially will get that musty smell and have that slimy build up, but all the areas at BL Spa were super clean. We went back to the locker rooms to change back into our clothes. They have two bathroom stalls and two showers with closing partitions for privacy. They collect all the laundry and make the whole turnover process between groups so easy. The checkout process to pay was also super simple. This would be a fun girls night, date night or bachelorette agenda item. They have group events, where you can also add in other spa services (like nails, massage, champagne, etc). We will be looking forward to coming back! We got a day pass to enjoy the Halotherapy and Hydrotherapy. Day pass (2 hours) includes access to the Lagoon Experience which includes: Meditation Halotherapy room, Scandanivian bath, Dry Sauna, & Steam Sauna. They only allow 6 max people every 2 hours. We got there we signed our waivers, got our robe, and slippers. We got our lockers. The changing area is a little small. Only 2 bathroom stalls and 2 shower stalls, there were 2 of us and 3 more other women. The meditation room will be the first one to enter. Comfortable bean bag like chairs, diffused scents, and snacks. We went to the other room with all the other experiences. There is a sign there to show you what do to and repeat. I loved the cold shower, dry sauna, and hot bath. The steam sauna was too much for me. Too bad the experience is only for 2 hours. read more

This was such a fun experience! Me and my boyfriend did a date night and did the lagoon session.It was very relaxing being able to go back-and-forth between the saunas, cold plunge, and Jacuzzi. When you get their they have a locker with your robe and slippers and put your name on the locker, lt was a nice little touch. Cody was great and made sure we had what we needed! We enjoyed the lagoon experience and had the area to ourselves before other guests arrived. They offered water, coffee, snacks, essential oils. We were able to decompress before our 60-min Swedish massage. Our therapist Dev was delightful and we were both happy with our massages. Their change room/showers were well equipped with thoughtful items like hairbrushes, hair ties, shavers, shower bench, etc.. The spa is beautiful and modern! My sister and I enjoyed the lagoon experience which included access to the lockers, showers, jacuzzi, and the steam + dry sauna. The employees were very friendly and escorted us to the ladies room to change into our swimsuits. They provided robes and slippers as well as gave us a quick tour. Since I've been to this salon my nails fell off, two of them the next day, difficult to get an appointment to get them fixed almost one month later still not fixed and more have fallen off. I have been wanting to go to a spa forever for a full "spa day" and finally decided to do it. The spa I have been dying to get into wasn't avaiabale so I found this place and was like yeah oh why not.... Let's start with the basics salon was super clean, the staff was very friendly made you feel welcomed and wanted. I hate going somewhere and they look like they hate there job this was not that place at all. I starred my morning with Devony who performed my massage. I'm a big girl so I was feeling a uncomfortable going in as it is but she made me feel relaxed and comfortable the table they used was also very comfortable. This girl has magic for hands I swear!! I did the Swedish massage and pressure for me was just right. My very picky friend who came with me had the deep tissue and absolutely loved it! And you'll love her personality!! Go see her thank me later! Then I had classic facial and manicure both of these services were very routine for me and they were just regular maintenance I didn't do anything special or have any issues both of the ladies did a great job, if your going in for something special let me know how it is! After that I went into the lagoon which was great. They have a meditation room, wet and dry saunas and the jacuzzi. It was super clean and very relaxing. I finished up my day with a delux pedicure performed by Kiely who was amazing! I hate doing pedicures because I have tend to have a lot of calluses on my feet due to walking barefoot at home all the time and dry skin thanks to my theyroid... ya know when you get a pedi they be staring at your feet and talking shit we've all experienced it at least once or twice. Kiely took care of my feet and and made me feel amazing the whole time. I will definitely go back a few things I would note if you are going for the whole day like I did bring your own snacks!! They provide some but it's limited. I'm a size 3XL the robe I wore fit ok but I will bring my own next time it wasn't the most comfortable thing on me. If you have wide feet go up a size in the shoes they will be much more comfy. Over all this was a great experience and I'm glad there's something like this literally up the street from me! read more

UPDATE Second visit was the opposite experience! I purchased gel, which they charge double, and within two weeks I had four bare toes. I called and made an appt to get it fixed. Within three days I lost four more. I called and the manager and she was yelling at me saying, a gel isn't supposed to last more than two weeks! LOL. She wouldn't let me talk and yelled over me.
