I have been wanting to check this salon in a very long time but had not had time to make an appointment. But today I found a really good deal in living social for a Mani and pedi and I went ahead and made an appointment. I'm glad I did, I was very pleased with the service I received. The nail tech Angelica did an awesome job, she took her time and paid attention to detail. I really enjoyed the service I received as it did not feel rushed. The other nail tech there Barbara is also very nice and professional. The salon is very clean and cozy and sits in the historic side of Glendale. They offer many services like facials, massages, cuts, colors, nails and more. So its so convient since you can go and get all services done with out the hasle of driving around everywhere. I have never been so dissapointed with a business. I purchased a living social vooucher for this business that included a shampoo, conditioner, hot towel treatment with scalp massage, haircut, blow dry, and style; and a 30 minute manicure and facial. You can imagine that I was quite excited to try a new salon. I called in, and they only had time to do a wash and cut. First put off. Then I had an emergency, so I called in to let them know i would be 20 minutes late or I could reschedule. The answer I got was less than pleasant. I was told because they would be out of 20 minutes, they would only style my hair (not actually wash and cut it) and if that didn't work, they would not permit me to reschedule! They even had the nerve to ask why I was going to be late. Inappropriate much! This is definitely the wrong way to gain new customers! read more

All of the workers here are really nice. Barb did my Mani pedi. She was very nice and gave me advice for my hair and nails. I ended up staying for an impromptu hair cut by Denise. She was also talkative and good at her job. The shop itself is very cute and I felt comfortable there. read more

Denise and her staff do a wonderful job! The customer service is fantastic! After being diagnosed with cancer my sister and a non-profit foundation set up a "Diva day" for me. I was treated like a queen! I received a facial, mani, pedi, and massage! Every one of Denise's staff members treated me so well. I enjoyed my whole experience. I'm now a returning customer. I have been going to Delfina Salon for over two years now, and I really don't know were to begin as far as my experience with this Salon. Let me start off by saying that I have never met an owner as sweet, caring, and hard working as Denise. Not only is her customer service great she really goes over your hair care needs and makes great suggestions for your type of hair. When I went in my hair was damaged and brittle now it's better than EVER. It's full and even..... I can't thank her enough. Every time I leave her salon I feel beautiful and happy. If you use the directions from this app, you will be lead to the old shop. Make sure to keep walking towards the civic center and you will see it. It was a lovely shop and you have to stop by. Everyone who works there is so sweet. The owner is a great person and so kind. There are little trinkets you can buy like a boutique. The shop is even named after the owners little girl. I was given a gift certificate from my loving husband. I have tried numerous time to make an appointment. After the seventh time trying to book an appointment, I went in to see if I could get a refund since their hours and my work hours were the same. After being stubborn I could go on but wont. No where on the gift certificate did it say non refundable or just for services. Was told that they were nonrefundable. Went in to by some trinkets with the gift certificate was told that I could not use it to purchase them. To top everything off she had the same item at two different prices. Not happy, Purchased gift certificates to use at Delfina, And each time tried to schedule an appt. was not able to get an appt., I travel alot so it gets difficult. The last time I finally called a week in advance, and can not get any one of the 3 services I had the certificates for, as they were going to expire. 12/1/11, And most of the other's I have used at least as long as you book appt. by exp. date they work with you, but not at Delfina salon, they were just happy to get the money for the certificate and I got nothing for it. So will make sure, I or no one I know will go here. Don't trust getting certificates for this place. read more

I hardly ever write reviews but felt I needed to in this case. I use Yelp often to guide me on my purchases and which salons I use for what so thought it only fair to help someone else do the same. I got an express facial and also a manicure at this salon. I give this Salon one star because I had a good facial here. The facialist was very nice and the facial was nice. The service was not on par with others I have had, but I'll write this off as what you get for an "express treatment." My poor rating comes from the manicure. 1. I was kept waiting 15 minutes right from the start. 2. This salon does not trim cuticles. When the technician skipped from filing my nails strait to the polish I asked about this. They said they only trim cuticles if there is a hangnail. If you have ever had a professional manicure you know this is incorrect. For me, this part of the service is why I go to a professional manicurist. 3. I asked for a french manicure. This technician's version was not the usual paint the white and then form the curve with a brush dipped in polish remover. She "eyed" the curve. It looked bad when I left and looks worse now only two days later. She "finished" with polish on my fingers, fuzzies stuck in the polish, and the most inconsistent "curve" for a french I had ever seen. The polish has now all but chipped off completely and the white has for some reason turned a strange color--maybe it is old??? I really hate to write a negative review because the shop is pretty cute and part of the downtown experience, but felt I needed to give fair warning to those thinking they might get a quality manicure here. If you've never had one before you might like it alright, but if you have you will definitely notice the difference and leave dissapointed. :( read more
