This was my second time coming here for happy hour. The service is good and the food is tasty, and the interior is beautiful and modern. The pricing is reasonable for what you get, though it does feel like inflation has definitely impacted the menu. My favorite dish was the mussels--they really stood out. That said, there are other places offering similar menus at better prices, so I'm a bit unsure if I'd return.

Consistently one of the best places for great service, food quality and general ambience! I've been coming here for a long time and although the prices are increasing- the quality of food and service have kept their same high standards. I will continue to come here and it's in huge part to the amazing staff like Abigail and Sumit that make each visit so special, not to mention all the waitresses and waiters that take so much pride in their work!

Went to Black + Blue for my friend's birthday. It was 7 of us, we got a reservation 2 weeks before because this place gets booked up pretty quickly. We were seated right as we arrived and they were very nice to give us a spot right by their fireplace. It made for a very cozy environment! Their space is pretty big and the ambiance is beautiful! It's such a good spot to celebrate an occasion. It is a more high-end steakhouse but the food is really good! For appetizers, we got there oysters which were soo fresh, would recommend. And we also got their fried calamari. The sauce that came with it was really good! For mains, I got their beef stroganoff which was not on their online menu. I think it was a chef's special. I really liked it!!! The portion size was pretty big!!! I hope they add this to their main menu, was a big fan. They also got my fried a complimentary cake which was very nice of them. Would definitely come back to celebrate an occasion:)

This is a beautifully managed restaraunt. It is lovely inside with split level seating, fantastic ambience and beautiful decor, especially the lighting. Alena was our server. She was friendly and knowledgeable. She prepared our Caesar salad at the table which was excellent. she made our dining experience exceptional as did Jason who then prepared our banana Foster taking our dining experience to another level. Thank you both for being so outstanding and there's no doubt we will return asking for them. This is actually our second time here and these two made it even more wonderful.

Service was awesome! Only bad thing is the calamari, it was rather too oily! The roof was super chill and nice place to hang during summer !

IMO this is a great spot for happy hour. The menu has tons of variety, the prices are great, and the portions are surprisingly generous for happy hour. The service is consistently excellent -- I genuinely haven't had a single bad experience here. The space has a semi-upscale vibe and the interiors feel quite grand, which makes it an even nicer place to hang out. I personally like sitting on the second floor since it's a bit quieter and has a more intimate feel compared to the first floor, but that's just personal preference. I've tried a wide range of dishes -- salads, appetizers, mains, desserts -- and everything has always been solid. Even my parents enjoy it, which says a lot.

Went for HH on their rooftop. Had a margarita and then switched to their house white. I had the jerk chicken flatbread which was huge, had take away. My friend ordered a marg and also house white. Also ordered some appies including the calamari which was lightly breaded. Great ambiance for happy hour. Our server was great.

Came here to celebrate my belated birthday with my Mom and boyfriend. We made a reservation at 6:30pm but arrived early as we finished our shopping earlier than expected. The front of house warmly greeted us and accommodated our early arrival in the lower dining room. It was a slow rainy Sunday night so there were no customers seated upstairs at all. We ordered the brioche bread, crab cake, and Lobster bisque to start. Brioche bread was enormous and tasty, crab cake was fresh and filled with fresh crab, and Lobster bisque was solid. My Mom was very happy with the crab cake and said it was one of the best she had recently. All three of us ordered the 3 course Sunday Prime rib for $59 each that comes with Ceasar salad, 12 oz prime rib with fixings, and dessert. Ceasar salad was okay but prime rib was tender, juicy, and delicious. My boyfriend usually isn't a fan of prime rib but quite enjoyed it but no one could finish the 12oz so we all had ours packed to go. Dessert was their warm butter cake - very delicious but very filling. Service was excellent and attentive throughout the entire meal, we felt very taken care of and was happy with our experience.

We booked a semi private room for a corporate event. We arrived early and were sat at the bar while the event space was set up. The space itself was quite nice; it felt private even though it was on the second floor and open to the restaurant. They had set menus on the table where you had the option to select one appy, entree and dessert. The lobster bisque was nice but I do wish it had a larger piece of lobster. The steak was very soft and perfectly cooked (medium rare). I didn't get the dessert as I had a gluten sensitivity and couldn't eat it unfortunately.

Stopped by for lunch on a Thursday to enjoy the beautiful summer weather on their rooftop patio. The ambiance was absolutely gorgeous! I was so surprised at how crowded it got up there by 12:30pm. It seems this is a popular place for lunch for all the corporate employees working nearby! The ambiance was definitely my favorite part. Aside from that the food was *pretty* good and the service was also *pretty* good. The app we ordered (hamachi crudo) was recommended by our server and it was the perfect cold and fresh summer dish. I also ordered a salad with a side of salmon. I almost laughed at the small little piece of salmon that came on a little appetizer plate. I was expecting an entire dinner portion but...it was funny to see. The salmon was cooked and seasoned very well though so no complaints there. I also tried the Australian Ribeye which I thought was great. Good cook and juicy from all the fat. Service was slow, despite the restaurant being mostly empty when we got there (11:30am). Our lunch ended up being 90min+ long despite our best efforts to hurry and asking the server to bring everything out at once. Don't expect a quick bite if you're stopping by during your lunch break!

Absolutely love their roof top on a gorgeous day. It was so nice out the had the roof retracted and there was a soft breeze. Our waitress Christina was so sweet and attentive. We stopped in for happy hour and hubby had the Margarita $8 and a Stella $7, I had the house 8oz white $11. We both had the stuffed Yorkie $5 each and the Beef Carpaccio pizza $18, has chimichurri, dizzeled mustard aioli, fried capers, baby arugula and shaved Parmesan cheese. Very excellent. Had a nice balance of savoury and salty. We were still a bit peckish so we both ordered a beef slider $5, prime rib party, brioche bun, spiced ketchup and American cheese. Tasty. They also have a Spotprawn menu on for a limited time and a feature lunch menu.

Black+Blue happy hour never disappoints. The atmosphere is upscale yet inviting, the service is consistently attentive, and the food--especially the wagyu on hot stone--is outstanding. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying a night out, it's one of the best happy hour experiences!

We stopped here on a total whim after getting to Vancouver. They were able to accommodate us and we sat upstairs. Honestly, I preferred the ambiance upstairs over the downstairs. It was magical up on the balcony and quieter which I liked. We got two cocktails and they were excellent. The server was on point too. She was friendly and just chatty enough to give us a recommendation of what to do in the area. We got lots of food and all of it was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and all the seafood was buttery and well seasoned. The burrata salad hit the spot with fresh tomatoes and was lots of cheese. Even though we didn't want dessert they still brought us a complementary one cause we were in town for our first wedding anniversary. It was a lovely evening with fantastic food.

We came here for a Winnie the Pooh Afternoon Tea. Oh my goodness...it far exceeded my expectations!…read moreHats off to the kitchen staff for coming up with such a creative and whimsical afternoon tea. First thing that caught my eye was the cover of the afternoon tea menu. It was red with a picture of Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin printed upon it in a shiny gold colour. When flipped over, it had the menu for the afternoon tea printed upon it. I was super impressed that they even had a separate menu printed for Vegetarians. (I opted for a Vegetarian menu). There was a cute little ceramic jar that was shaped like a Honey pot, and it had sugar cubes in it! Then there was this booklet that was pages long, and divided into Chapters. It was basically the menu again, but in the form of a small book. Each Chapter of the book described different foods from the afternoon tea. The last chapter listed all the different tea flavors one could choose. When we sat down and read this menu, I heard more than one person at the table say that they wanted to take this menu home. Guess what? For the price of $25, one could take this menu home as a memento of this extraordinary afternoon tea? Maybe I'm a bit of a sucker, but how often does one get to go to an afternoon tea as special as this? And I've always been a huge fan of Winnie the Pooh. So I coughed up the $25 and brought one of these menus home with us! Food was sooo good. I loved how warm the scone was when I cut it open. This was one of my favourite items. The sandwiches were amongst my favourites as well. As phenomenal as the experience was, I do think there are a few things which could have improved the experience. For one, a bit more service would have been appreciated. I had to wave my hand in the air to get our server's attention so that I could ask her to refill our tea pots with more hot water. Would have been nice if she'd just come around a bit more often and offered to top it up for us. Tea cozies on our tea pots might have been another improvement. A lot of my tea cooled down by the time I got to it. I like my tea hot but I didn't get in very many cups of hot tea as there was a lot of food to eat and by the time I was ready to pour myself some tea to wash down my food, the tea was...not so hot anymore. Oh, and while most of the food was appropriately sized, there was this one chocolate cookie sandwich that was really gigantic and suggested to be eaten last. We were so full already from all the other foods in the afternoon tea, and then to squeeze that giant cookie sandwich in...right at the end? A smaller and daintier cookie sandwich would have been preferred. It was overall a truly phenomenal experience. Yes, I do think it could have been slightly better, but I do emphasize the word "slightly". The points lost were so minor...I would still highly recommend this afternoon tea to anyone. It was well worth the money. It's offered every weekend for now but not sure how long they'll keep this around so if you're interested in a Winnie the Pooh themed afternoon tea, I'd make a reservation for it ASAP!

The setting is cosy and relaxed atmosphere. Staff was lovely and we were not rushed. Unfortunately they require full payment at the time of booking including a tip % automatically applied. My friend really wanted to go and therefore I agreed to it this one time but I would never do it again.

We ended up waiting around 20 minutes past our reservation time, sitting in a crowded entrance area with many other people also waiting for tables. It left a pretty disappointing first impression, especially when the table had already been booked in advance. The service also felt rushed toward the end. The receipt was brought to us immediately after we finished eating without us asking for it, which gave the impression they wanted to turn the table over as quickly as possible. Three very small, dry chocolate candies for $15 felt excessive and not worth ordering.
