I was unable to torque the crank bolt down to the required 160 ft lbs as the vehicle is an automatic. I drove back to Palmer's Auto and asked if he could help me torque the bolt down. He paused his work and helped me out with no hint of iritation over me basically wasting his time/money. Upon leaving I asked him for a card so I could leave this review. I called Tom Tillitson in the beginning of February when the motor blew in my Jeep and said I had…read moreit listed for sale, no title for parts and it had 2k worth the brand new tires and he said he would buy it. He told me it would be a week or two to get the cash together to not have that happen. He wanted to chase down the title as my Jeep was in my son's name and that if he was able to get it he would be able to buy it outright and not have to part it out himself because he wanted to rebuild it into a toy. This was not the deal, he was suppose to buy it himself to part out or find another 4x4 and trade for a vehicle and cash, he did not honor the agreement. Each week turned into a month and then still four months later, every promise he made that he was waiting for money or that his house closed and he was then waiting for that money to cash me out never happened. Everytime he said he'd call me back, he didn't or if I called her send me to his voicemail and then after leaving messages, he'd still not call and my texts went unanswered as well. If I was lucky enough to get him on the phone, it was one promise after another and he never honored the agreement we had, instead he started changing the terms without me being in agreement and now he's basically screwed me out of a One of A Kind Jeep. Because I got upset after 4 months of continued runaround, he tells me now I'm responsible for the towing to get the Jeep to his shop and for an engine cooler from years ago that HE Himself didn't bill the Warranty because he forgot and expects me to pay for that as well before he wants me to now pick it up which are totaling over $1000. The part that makes it worse is that he had parts equally over $1000 that didn't get installed and he took more than half of that money towards the engine cooler that he didn't bill correctly. There was also an auto claim worth over $10k that parts and labor that were paid for were never installed on the Jeep that he's kept the money on and was never returned to me. This is NOT how Good Business is done and I'm getting screwed here for a decision he made himself and by not honoring the deal we made has left me in hardship due to the fact that I was suppose to get another reliable vehicle and cash or simply all cash for me to buy something. I am Disabled and Handicapped and have not been able to go to the Doctor, haven't been able to schedule Scans, or the necessary procedures I need done since he took my Jeep and never paid me for it. Tom Tillitson should be ashamed of himself, preaching faith and how good he has it, well no wonder when he screws his way to the top while not communicating with you to what he makes his plans to be

They just charged her 268.00 to quote her 9000.00 worth of things that needed fixed. And did nothing else. DO NOT send anyone into them that are not mechanic savvy in the slightest. They will take advantage of them!

We were passing through Twin Falls, Idaho on a Friday afternoon before the Labor Day weekend, when…read moreour Ford F350 truck (also towing a 5th Wheel RV) started to malfunction. We were limping down the freeway at 35 MPH, in an 80 MPH zone. We called 2 other places first, the Ford Dealer and some other company, both could not see us for at least 2 weeks. As we were not from ID, we were completely stranded with a 5th wheel and gimpy truck. We were desperate. Fatefully, Stroke Works answered the phone and we gimped over to their location, where they specialize in performance diesel trucks of many makes and models. There couldn't have been a better fit for our issue. They were kind and EXTREMELY helpful and VERY dedicated to their craft. They had the parts on hand. They stayed late on that Friday to diagnose the issue, all while thoroughly answering our hundreds of questions about when, what, how and how much. They diagnosed the issue as a fuel pump and injector and as some of you may know, that is a MAJOR job, at least on our truck. They had to lift the body completely off the chassis to access the parts. They stayed late on the Friday before the 3 day weekend when most others would have said, "Sorry, we are closed for the weekend." They recruited their workforce to help us out and work ALL DAY on that Saturday. When others would be out "playing" for the weekend, they were working on our truck. They made us their priority. They accommodated our trailer for the day. They made us feel as if we were the most important customer they had. They did the job expertly and in a timely manner. We felt completely confident in the work they did and were very compassionate about our situation. They showed us exactly what the issue was, showed us the parts, told us step by step what they were going to do and exactly how. It would almost be worth driving the 600 miles every time our truck needed service to have them do it. Most importantly, they did the job correctly in our extremely urgent situation and we made it the last 638 miles of our journey! I CANNOT say enough about their service and quality! For some context, I ordered an exhaust kit, and got a quote for them to install it, nothing bad…read morethere, but when they got the car in, they said they would have to build their own kit since the kit I provided didn't fit right, so they ended up doubling the price, the exhaust they had "built" runs literally right against the driveshaft on my car, so when it is on the lift, you can't spin the driveshaft, and if you go over any large bump that puts stress on the suspension, it rubs on the drive shaft, which isn't safe. Another thing I had discovered when having my car on the lift: they did not use their own pipe, every single piece of my provided exhaust kit was under the car, just kind of cut up and re-angled. So I got double charged for no reason, and basically a bad job done. Also the welds leak less than 2 months after getting the exhaust installed. So that's wonderful.
