The hosts Jeff and Cindy were fabulous! They worked tirelessly to make my visit the best possible. The house is gorgeous, as was my room. While i was there, they hosted a mixer for my reunion, as well as a concert and an open mike. All of the events were very well managed including everything from food and beverages, and somehow seating around 100 people. They even handled the interruption of a couple thunderstorms, preventing the parties from becoming a disaster. I will visit again everytime I visit Pueblo. She was very pleasant. the drink tickets for the CLINK were a nice surprise. There should be more historical information in the hotel. I remember when people used to stay there, before it was a hotel!

I planned this stay months in advance & after a 30 hour drive, who wouldn't be tired & not overly enthusiastic to see her? She refused us our room & left us super confused. & when we asked her reasoning, she literally tried to say that I threw my card at her!?! Absolutely not. Check the cameras Candlewood. But honestly, I think this woman is very jealous. She even has a bad tattoo on her shoulder that says jealous. I asked to speak to the person above her, she refused & claimed that she's the manager. I was excited to stay here & anxious to get to bed but thanks to this woman, Candlewood Suites lost out on our $700 stay & earns zero stars & negative reviews all over the place. We found a great last minute suite elsewhere with amazing customer service instead. This lady left us with a $150 cancelation fee, so beware !!! I beg you all to not use the gym!! See attached photo…read more The gym at this hotel is a health risk. The dumbbells have brown sweat and dirt caked into the handles. The treadmills have not been wiped down in ages and have dried sweat drippings all over them. The water dispenser has been refilled with tap water and has a nasty taste/oder to the water. The gym wipe station was empty of sanitation wipes.The attached photo is of a gym towel that I used to wipe off the equipment prior to using the items for my workout. I asked three different front desk clerks to please clean the gym and provide sanitation wipes for the health of thier guests. All three times, I was assured the problem would be resolved. In the 4 days I was there, there was no change in the gym. Guests are at a huge health risk of a staph infection while using this gym. The gym is not up to Hampton Inn brand standards and needs to be closed until the health of the guests is put before profits.

Close to numerous Colorado attractions including Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, The Royal Gorge, etc. laundry and restrooms clean. Lots of wildlife and places in the RV park to walk. Couple of issues -road noise M-F from 7:00-4:00 as large trucks haul gravel from the quarry to town. The 2 lane road runs on the whole side of the resort. AND, we reached out to the advertised Colorado RV services to get some work done on our RV. They came by 2 times to meet with us but never gave us an estimate or touched base to schedule the work. We followed up numerous times. Our initial conversation was 7 weeks prior to our scheduled departure. This left a very bad taste in our mouths. Very bad customer service and follow up. We traveled in a 36 foot, class A.

Came here with a wildlife class. We were hoping to use the blinds and to see a lot of wildlife up…read moreclose. We got here at 6:30 am and left empty handed around 10:00 am. We saw more wildlife on the way to the ranch (antelopes) than inside the actual ranch. The roads are all sandy and NOT maintained. With the latest rainfall we've had they are in poor condition to say the least. We had 4 wheel drive vehicles and we STILL could not access the roads to where the blinds were. The wheel-tracks from previous traffic were deeper than a foot in some areas. Many areas are also not accessible at all due to closed gates. So the driving map that we got at the headquarter was not very accurate. We would drive for miles down a terrible road, just to realize that they had it closed with a cattle gate and we'd have to turn around and retrace our steps. We drove down to May Camp Lake. We still did not see any wildlife except the omnipresent jack rabbits and one lonely antelope at the horizon line. We also drove northeast of the HQ as there is a quadrant marked as 'prairie dog town' (13). We did not see any prairie dog, we did see a hummingbird moth though, which was pretty much the most exciting specimen of the trip. Disappointed, we drove back to HQ where we asked the cattle ranchers where to go to spot anything. They sent us to the Holmes Park where we walked about the ancient lakebed and got eaten alive by mosquitoes (despite having showered with OFF deep woods). The only wildlife in sight were a few doves perched high on the trees. We did love the enchanted forrest made of willow trees and tumbleweeds. That was pretty cool. But again, no animals to observe or photograph. We gave up around 10 and drove away. On our way back into town we did spot a cute barn owl on a field's fence. That was about it for the trip but was not ON the ranch. So there. If you are looking for a place to view wildlife this is not it. There is not that much here to view. Just drive pre-dawn in any prairie area, and you'll see more antelope for free. PS: not sure if they usually charge you to just drive on the ranch land, but our instructor did collect $10 from each of us for the ranch. So yes. $10, no wildlife. Ugh.

Room was cute but there there were black curly hairs all over the bathroom (I'm bald and my girlfriend that joined me is blonde)...coffee maker had old coffee grounds in it and the fridge had old noodles in a Tupperware container. Furnace shook the floor/walls and was very loud. There was an uncomfortable daybed where a couch would have been preferred. Place sure looks cute - great character in the building and the gardens are eclectic and fun looking...poor execution makes this a place I will not revisit, which is unfortunate as it has potential.
