We like to support local businesses today in the world of internet shopping and we appreciated not only the huge amount of furniture there we could physically touch and feel but even for pieces we ordered that weren't physically there they had other pieces we could see in a different color or style so we could still see the construction and quality of the furniture brand. Amanda could not have been more helpful or knowledgeable! She has an amazing ability to plot out and visualize how things will look in the space of the room and we really needed that! They have been super accommodating and even offered to send us a temporary console to put our TV on since the one we ordered will take a couple extra weeks to arrive from the rest of the things. I can't say enough good things about Elam's! They have only gotten better, if possible, over the last 10 years!

We ended up buying it and have only had it less than 2 years and the fabric is pilling horribly to the point of thinning the fabric so much it will need to be replaced soon. When they delivered it, it also had a broken off foot and was scratching our hardwood floor without our knowledge. When I talk to Katie about the problems, she told me that it was my fault because I was cheap. Wow! Absolutely zero customer service or even compassion. I was absolutely not being cheap! I relied on Katie being honest with me and she clearly wS not. I will never set foot in that store again and will tell everyone I know that's looking for furniture of my experience there. The contract clearly stated that if Aaron's was closed on the due date due to a holiday or emergency, the payment would be due the next business day. There have been a few times over the past two years that that has occurred and each time I received a call from Aaron's the next business day saying I was late, and was charged a late fee. I also had to remind them a couple times when they called me for payment on the due date that it was a direct payment from the bank and all they had to do was run the card number they were in possession of. So the office *(sales) staff could pay a bit more attention to the details of an account when they pull it up on their computer. The delivery people are not good at all. they broke the furniture when they delivered it, and scratched my daughters new laminate floors as well. Aaron's had the furniture repaired, but I had to pay for the repair of the laminate floors. (I just didn't feel like having the hassle of trying to get Aaron's to pay for it, so I just didn't even ask them to. Idk, they may have been happy to do it I just didn't bother asking. All in all not a horrible experience as far as a rent to own goes, but still just average.
