Beware if you have food allergies!!!!!! I know that bakeries cannot guarantee allergens. I got my…read moredaughter a cookie that was labeled as chocolate chip. She had a bite and instantly started vomiting and went into anaphylactic shock. I tasted the cookie and it was for sure a peanut butter base with chocolate chips. The cookies taste great, but we will never return, as the allergic reaction could have been prevented if the cookie was labeled properly. Please consider a different labeling system. Maybe someone moved the cookie to the wrong spot? Just very disappointed.

When I walked in here and saw the husband and wife (presumably) working feverishly behind the counter, and a young daughter running back and forth following assigned chores, I immediately knew this was a place I wanted to give my business. I love the effort, and it shows through what they sell. I bet they had at least a dozen types of cookies sitting out, and it was tempting to try a handful or more rather than one, max two (which is what I SHOULD stick to). I tried a ginger cookie and loved it. We also got a cheese garlic bread which was soft, gooey, and wonderful. Then, there were all the other things they had- cake pops, croissants, and other breads. And also soups and sandwiches. I'm not sure if they rotate what they make or if it's consistent, but either way I definitely want to come back and support such a humble business. Major props!

I am visiting my Mom in town, my Mom loves this place. We start walking towards the shop and…read morethere's a gal with an insomnia cookies polo smoking a cigarette by the entrance. We r not smokers and don't like being around smoke. She was polite with a delightful demeanor and said she would be right with us. She said 2 of the options we wanted were not available. 'They just got a new shipment & she didn't have time to unload them yet' (yet she had time to smoke a cigarette) She said it would take 6 minutes for the brownies to be done... she was smart enough to give my Moms brownie and ice cream first while we wait for the brownies. I sat there and waited about 10 minutes while she was in the back the whole time.. no update..then a crowd came in and she helped about 6 more people which took another 10 minutes.. Then a lady asked for one of the cookies I asked for which she said was unavailable... but the worker told the lady it would be a 20 minute wait, so after she was finished helping that lady and was on her way to the back, I asked if she could add one for me too. She said 'exchange it with a brownie?' I said 'no, just add it'. She asked me again and I said it again.. seemed like she was trying to get out of doing more work. I waited another 15 minutes & by this time my Mom was finished with her brownie for 10 minutes.. the worker was in the back and two more workers just got there so they were telling each other about the day... she finally came out with my brownies 30 minutes after we had ordered to tell give them to us. I had to remind her I hadn't paid for the cookie yet.. she politely rang me up and gave me the receipts as requested. I really didn't like the lack of communication. Maybe they were short staffed.. I won't be going back there even if my Mom wants to. Bad taste in my moth before I even got a chance to try their product. I'm saving it for when I go home.

It may have been called Icelandic rye bread. Or Icelandic dark bread. I'm not sure but it should be easy to figure out. I love walking into bread shops because the aroma of sweet and yeast assaults your senses in the most delightful way. Breadsmith has a lovely little tasting area in the front. And offers about two or three different kinds of breads. There is a Specialties table. When I was visiting they had a grouping of different types of cookies. They also have a offering of jams jellies and mustard. Everything you need to elevate your bread. The back wall is filled with loaves of every shape and size. Muffins, cookies, and all sorts of handheld goodies. I tried the Bostock. It is a elevated crunchy French toast. It's a piece of brioche bread that is dredged and coded in an amazing almond slivered topping. I believe it may have been adhere to the bread with marzipan. At least that's the traditional recipe. The Almond topping with light and Chris and had a very distinct lemon accent. It was Pure Heaven. Rich buttery crispy sweet.
