I have gone on many trips to casinos in Canada, Michigan and New York with Lakefront. Never once have I been inconvenienced or felt unsafe. One time a driver got lost on a milk run to Seneca. He was funnier than dangerous. read more

WARNING: Worst Rental Experience Here is the order of events that occurred leading up to my charter and how your company failed to provide what was promised. 4/12/2018 - Client makes inquiry about bus charters and receives a quote from Angie Bishop for one 56 passenger bus to transport guests from the Ritz Carlton hotel (1515 W 3rd St, Cleveland, Ohio) to the private property at 3535 Revere Road, Richfield, Ohio and back, confirming the pickup and drop off locations for the first time. 5/4/2018 - Client receives booking confirmation from Lakefront Lines on the charter, confirming pickup and drop off locations for the second time. 6/14/2018 - Client inquires about a second 56 passenger bus and receives a quote, confirming pickup and drop off locations for the third time. 6/27/2018 - Client receives confirmation on the charter of the two buses, confirming pick up and drop off locations for the fourth time. 9/10/2018 (week of the wedding) - Client's wedding planner reaches out to Lakefront Lines to confirm booking and make sure that Lakefront Lines had performed a test run to ensure timing and accessibility for the guests. Lakefront Lines informed our wedding planner that there has not been a test run and then scheduled one on 9/12/2018 (3 days before the wedding). 9/12/2018 - Lakefront Lines comes to the private property at 3535 Revere Road, Richfield, Ohio and informs the wedding planner that the buses would not be able to drop off passengers at the contracted address, and would drop wedding guests on the street 300 yards away from the location. Lakefront Lines cited road width concerns. Wedding planner asks the coordinator to at least attempt a test run to the actual location, but Lakefront Lines refused. 9/13/2018 (2 days before the wedding) - Wedding planner and client reach out again to Lakefront Lines to try to figure out a solution to transport the guests from the street to the actual location of the property. Not only does Lakefront Lines not offer any solutions (smaller buses, shuttle vans, etc.), the representative, Angie Bishop, now changes the narrative and claims that the booking was for transporting between hotels rather than to a private property. This was a flat out lie and an impossibly bad one, as Lakefront Lines had at least 4 months and 4 different confirmations to check the location. 9/14/2018 (one day before the wedding) - Client books two shuttles from separate companies for an additional cost to move guests safely from the road to the actual location of the venue. As you can see from this timeline and details, Lakefront Lines had four and half months from the time of initial booking (and five months from the original inquiry) to the actual charter date to test run and inform the client that the buses would not be able to drop off guests at the actual location. Lakefront Lines never had the intent to do a test run until the wedding planner reached out. Lakefront Lines informs the client three days before the wedding that they would not be able to drop off at the actual location. When pressed about why the client was not informed of this during the previous four months, Angie Bishop then lied and claimed that the booking was for a hotel to hotel transfer, despite verifying the address four times. Not only did this experience create additional costs for the client (having to book shuttles at the last minute), it also caused delays in the wedding, discomfort from guests (some of whom had to walk), and heavy emotional stress for the client in the week of the wedding. Lakefront Lines made no attempt to remedy the situation and falsely tried to put the entire responsibility on the client. read more

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. My family and I took a bus trip to the Amish Country. Not even halfway through the trip, something went wrong with the tire. We had to wait for another bus and that took an hour. After we finally got on the bus and went to the first stop of the tour, the new bus wouldn't start when we got back on. We then had to wait for the other bus that was a part of the tour to drop off the other people so that we could ride on theirs. We are currently waiting on the third bus to pick us up. This is the worst company. Please do not rent from them. You will be terribly disappointed. read more

We did not have a good experience with Lakefront Lines during our wedding. The booking process was relatively easy, however, on the night of our wedding the drivers changed the size of the buses on the return trip and we didn't have enough seats for all of our guests. Some guests didn't get picked up until an hour after the reception ended. The most upsetting part is that they didn't communicate this change to us, our wedding planner, or the venue. So it was too late to resolve the situation by the time the change was discovered. Lakefront Lines offered us a nominal refund for the inconvenience, but it's more about the principle when we signed a contract for a certain number of seats. I would not recommend Lakefront Lines to anyone looking for transportation for their wedding. read more

I would not recommend this company to ANYONE in ANY situation. Not only do they NOT value your opinion and satisfaction they surly do not value you or your passenger's safety what so ever. It's truly disappointing to see a company not care that their driver was falling asleep while driving a busload full of people, or that he was lying and was late to the pickup spot. On this one trip, there were so many things that would be deemed extremely inappropriate and unsatisfactory. I will never be using or riding Lakefront Lines again. One of this company's smaller buses often picks up some handicapped folks on a 2-lane residential street in my neighborhood. On my way to work the morning of 4/12/19, I came up behind this bus which, as usual, had its yellow warning flashers on, indicating that they were loading passengers. As usual, I started slowly around the bus, when it suddenly accellerates, hazard lights STILL FLASHING, and proceeds to race me down the street into oncoming traffic. I considered calling Lakefront to file a complaint but, after reading the other reviews, realized it would simply be a waste of my time ... these people clearly don't care. How they are even still in business is beyond me. I don't normally write reviews, but you can add my voice to those who say never, ever use these people and, if you see one on the road, get out of its way. read more

This is probably one of the worst bus services there is. We use them for trips to different universities. Almost very time there is an incident with the bus or the driver. Erratic driving, drivers falling asleep, and moments where I feel like we are going to crash. With lakefront lines I been on busses that have ran into a small creek, hit parking poles, and even smashed into a parked car. Not sure if the drivers are drunk or just need more training. Worst bus service ever. Do yourselves a favor and don't ever use them. read more

Erratic service at best. The buses going to Casino Windsor from Cleveland are supposed to run 3 times a week. They charge your card right away and about half the time call to say the trip has been cancelled. Takes days to get credited back. Really a shame. Their buses are not the most comfortable and the drivers have been known to get lost and need help from passengers to find the casino. read more

I went on a Wed express casino trip to PA. The casino bonus given is slightly different than the one given at the casino. According to tge casino greeter this has been the case for months. The driver must've been new to the route. It was a little over 30 minutes after arriving until we were able to get off of the bus. When I called to discuss my concerns. The representative was rude short and dismissive of my concerns. I was told someone would contact me. I was never contacted. read more

The bus I was on had no air conditioning, there is one outlet in one seat for the entire bus and the seats are extremely uncomfortable. The other bus for our trip kept getting behind and we had to stop 3 times to let them catch up. They made us 2.5 hrs late for where we were going and the drivers are rude. Also, on the other bus driver started playing loud mariachi music while everyone was trying to sleep. read more

I tried to utilize Lakefront Lines for a family reunion tour of Cleveland. I contacted them, got pricing, and shared dates. I even sent a deposit. I checked back with them before the date and found out they did not hold my date. They were booked and denied receiving my deposit. Once I confirmed that I sent a deposit, I got back to them. I had to get my bank involved to prove I sent the deposit. It took weeks before my deposit was refunded. I am happy to have my money back, but I would have rather had my family be able to tour the Cleveland area as planned. read more

READ BEFORE ANY OTHER SCHOOL USES LAKEFRONT: 4 buses were contracted for a school trip to Disney World- a 2000 + mile round trip. In addition to Lakefront buses being very dirty on the inside, it can also boast as having multiple broken footrests, multiple overhead bins that wouldn't properly close, and numerous seats that could not fully recline. The most appalling part of the trip is that 3 out of the 4 buses had significant mechanical problems resulting in one bus having to be towed for the final hours of the trip home. All in all, an 18-hour trip home turned into a 27 hour nightmare. I don't know how this company passes its inspections. Having 3 buses filled with students breakdown multiple times on the road is not a happenstance. This company KNEW the buses were substandard - how could they not?! They willingly took the school's money and filled the broken down buses with students. I have no idea how these business owners slept at night knowing the danger they put these kids in. As of yet, we have not heard one word from the company. No explanation. No apology. No nothing. This must be business as usual. read more

I chaperoned a trip to DC from Louisville There were two chartered buses filled with middle school kids, teachers and chaperones. Buses werent clean, no outlets and a few seats were broken and stuck in one position. Bus 1 had mechanical issues and had to be replaced on the trip to DC. On the way back to louisville (which was an overnight drive) bus 2 wouldnt accelerate. We were traveling in the dark at 25 mph through hills in VA with our hazard lights on. We finally pulled off into a gas station The driver was advised to turn off the bus and let the computer reset. It seemed to work but a risky move with kids on the bus in the middle of the night. At the next restroom stop bus 1 began smoking and smelling like antifreeze. They had to wait for a replacement bus from Cincinnati. We were supposed to get back home at 7am Bus 2 arrived about 11 (4 hours late) and bus 1 got home about 345 (almost 9 hours late). There is no way that i would EVER use this bus line again. It wasnt just the inconvenience , but we werent safe. read more

Recently, I used Lakefront Lines for a trip. I had high expectations and was excited. However, quite quickly my expectations dwindled. There was a never a time where we got to our destinations on time, we were always late and usually had to pull over to wait for the other bus in the party to catch up. We traveled to the south, an 18 hour drive, and of course the air conditioning decided to break once we got there,and was not able to be fixed until our last day, as well as the single outlet in one seat that decided to stop working as well. The seats are extremely uncomfortable and give no room for anyone to sit and relax on a long trip. The drivers drive as if they just received license and only one or two out of the total 7 we had were nice. Overall, Lakefront Lines ended up being an unorganized and uncomfortable experience. Please do not use this company if you value your time to enjoy your vacation. read more
