New owner & director have made incredible changes!!!…read more My boys were at this school in 2021-2022 school year. We did experience many of the grievances with the previous/owner director. However, the new director has been so awesome to work with. The school has retained the things that made it great : classical education, screen free instruction, no sugar, Montessori inspired, clean & organized facility but all the nonsense rules and the neurotic pestering and teaching style of the previous director are gone. My kids love going to school every day and I do not worry about them being on laptops and having TV based lessons. They get plenty of time outside. The faculty is extremely responsive to each of my kids needs and challenges each of them at their unique levels & needs. Overall, GREAT decision to come back :)

Loved Summit Academy Preschool!…read more After having a horrible experience at another private preschool, I was looking for a good preschool to enroll my daughter in, and I'm so glad I found Summit Academy Preschool (which is NOT related to Summit Academy Elementary which has a separate entrance process). My daughter attended this preschool for a year and always came home happy. She learned to count to 100, and to even add and subtract numbers, among other things. I was really impressed! They even had a Christmas program with Santa Claus last year! My daughter was super excited. Her teachers Ms. Mckenzie and Ms. Jennifer were two lovely ladies who cared for my child learning and well-being. Every time I had a question or concern, either teacher would address it promptly. Thumbs up! My daughter was able to get to know her teachers very well as well as her classmates. Even though she will be heading to kindergarten this Fall she still talks about her friends from Summit Academy Preschool. I highly recommend this preschool, no questions about it. And remember, you'd still need to pay tuition since the preschool is separate from the charter school. The tuition itself is well priced and it is not expensive compared to some private schools out there.

We truly feel like we lucked out when we found Blooming Mind Montessori. From the very beginning, it has felt more like a loving home than a school where kids are just a number. The teachers are incredibly caring, patient, and genuinely love the children. You can tell they truly prioritize each child and want them to feel safe, happy, and valued every single day. Our older son also attended here after we were told at another very popular Montessori school that he "didn't fit the mold," which was heartbreaking and honestly made us feel like he was somehow a bad kid. Blooming Mind Montessori did the complete opposite. They reminded us how special he is, that every child learns differently, and that he was still just a kid learning and growing. We can never thank them enough for the love, patience, and understanding they showed our family during that time. One of the things we appreciate most is that they really let kids be kids while still creating a wonderful learning environment. The teachers put so much time and effort into preparing thoughtful lessons and always have fun, creative activities planned. There is constantly something exciting going on that keeps the kids engaged, learning, and happy. We also really appreciate that, as a school and not just a daycare, they do a great job minimizing closures, which is so important for working families. Their summer program is also amazing and packed with fun activities. The school is not especially close to us, but we still choose to make the commute because it is absolutely worth it. Having peace of mind knowing your child is loved, cared for, and excited to go to school every day is priceless. Heartbreaking Experience with Blooming Minds Montessori…read more I'm writing this review with a heavy heart after a deeply disappointing experience with Blooming Minds Montessori. I visited this school hoping to enroll my 4-year-old son, who has a speech delay due to a brain lesion--not autism, just a delay he's actively working through. During the tour, he fell in love with the place and didn't want to leave--he even cried because he felt so happy and connected there. Unfortunately, what followed was incredibly disheartening. When I called back to follow up, I was told there were no available spots. But a friend of mine called around the same time and was told the opposite--that there were openings. That was the first red flag. I waited a bit, then booked another tour online. The system accepted my appointment. But shortly after, I received an email from the director canceling the tour, saying they didn't feel they could meet my son's needs due to his communication skills. No assessment was ever done--they made that judgment based on a single visit. This felt like discrimination, plain and simple. It's even more disappointing coming from a school that claims to follow the Montessori philosophy, which is supposed to support children's growth at their own pace, in an inclusive and nurturing environment. Instead, I felt like they were using the Montessori name more as a marketing tool than a true educational model. As a foreign family with a child who learns a little differently, this experience was not just a rejection--it was heartbreaking. We were made to feel like we weren't good enough, like my son's speech delay defined him. He is bright, curious, loving--and deserves a school that truly believes in helping all children grow. I hope Blooming Minds reflects seriously on how they treat families and whether they are truly living up to the values they promote.

A Tip on Timing: Before I get into my feedback, just Be Prepared to Start the Online Portion 'the Day You Get Access'. Pick the date wisely. 2 days scheduled for each Module or you will fall so far behind, you will have to start over. It is fast-paced. Minimum 2-3 hours a day. They will send you the expected start and finish date for each module. Order the Yellow Hartman Book before the course access begin-date to get a head start. Skim through it and then sign up for the course. A lot of what is in the book is covered in the online content, but the book has more information that you will need to answer the questions. The online content has more real-life perspective. The 3-day Skills Labs are for the in person demonstration of the skills. As far as the 'Knowledge part' is concerned, one should come prepared from online study and the yellow Hartman book prior to Skills Labs. 'About The Instructors and The Course' What stood out about the NA course at the Utah Training Centers (a total discovery for me) is: 1. Linda! Now that I have taken the course Skills Labs, Linda! What an incredible person, what a great example, so unusual, never heard of, never seen, never heard of. The grit, the resilience, the mental strength to do what she continues to do despite her challenges that appeared out of nowhere. Most would take that limitation and disappear. Linda is the only one, one of only few, perhaps, ONLY ONE I KNOW, that remained strong enough to adapt and continue her passion for Nursing Education. Not just that, with a sense of humor and her demonstrated ability to work as if it is no big deal. It is a VERY BIG DEAL! I liked the focus on getting this done, fast! Cheryl in their office is EXTREMELY helpful in doing her best to make sure you have what you need. Cat works alongside Linda. She is the one teaching in the videos, alongside others. Very thorough and very responsive. 2. The curriculum was very detailed, STRUCTURED, and easy to follow. The videos, the written content, the Hartman book), just the right summary of the most essential knowledge and skills we ALL need, and may need at some point in our life. I believe this should be taught in early years of life, no matter what . It REALLY opens one's eyes to phases of human life we remain blind to till we are 'caught in them' or the repercussions of them. 3.The in-person labs had plenty of students, all age groups. 4. This training is a good way to get onto a path, take it where one wants to take it. I wrote this as I discovered how good thawed frozen apples taste. A REFRESHING treat.
