I made him get it fixed before he can drive. I had him call 3 top rated places from Yelp! - Speedy (which put him on hold for over 10 minutes; not exactly living up to their name!), some other place who said they don't have Rabbit windshields, and Al's. He could get us in first thing the next day and charged a reasonable price! He was so fast, done in less than an hour. So about a month ago, I bought this 1966 Mustang. Only one of the speakers was working in the front…read moredriver side, and then nothing was working because it wouldn't turn on anymore. It's an aftermarket Kenwood deck with some pretty nice speakers and it looked like a pretty nice installation... but a stereo that doesn't turn on does absolutely no good. I called Car Toys who had done some excellent work for me before, and they said "bring it on down we'll take a look at it." When I arrived, I asked for Julian, he came right out front and determined it wasn't getting any power. So Julian went and got Clayton, who was in the shop... and with a matter of about 45 seconds, Clayton had the deck turned on and all four speakers working! I couldn't believe it. He even spliced a couple wires together and fix the connection and zip tied the wires up so they look better. The aftermarket deck is mounted underneath the dashboard underneath the glove box, so thank goodness access was easy. I asked what do I owe you? And they said absolutely nothing it was an easy fix. I'll tell you this... whatever stigma you may have or have heard about car stereo stores... Car Toys Lancaster Drive in Salem, Oregon is absolutely professional. They could've easily charged me one hour of their shop rate for the fix that they did, and I would've gladly paid it. They're still a little bit of work to do because the car has a power antenna that's not working... so when I have a little bit more time, I'm gonna take it back to them, and Clayton said he'll dive into the antenna and figure out what's going on. Anyway special things to Julian and Clayton for making time for me today. It was a fantastic experience.

The damage was hidden with black vinyl tape intentionally. After contacting previous owners they were also not aware, but was able to track records of repair done previously at Speedy Glass, through a claim filed with State Farm. This was prior to new owner taking over. There is not an option for 10 stars, if there was Charles Vickery, the General Manager, is deserving of 10 stars. He went above and beyond working with the previous owners State Farm agent. Due to ownership change and difficulties finding previous records it was a process. Charles made the decision to make sure I was treated more than fair. Without being able to determine exactly what happened he felt it was the right thing to do to make it right for me. I live in Portland, and they are in Salem. Instead of making me drive to them he set up for their tech to come to my house. He was going to cover the entire cost. Due to everyone working together I was overwhelmed with gratitude I wanted to contribute. We agreed on an amount that was a fraction of the total cost. Their tech, Tanner, showed up at my house Wednesday, August 26th and did an outstanding job. I now have a new windshield and met some extraordinary people. This was someone they could have walked away from and left me to find another company. Charles never gave me the impression this was even an option. He was there to make sure I was taken care of, went above and beyond. It is refreshing to know we still have some amazing people and businesses that really care more about their customers needs and values above their own. Justin, the branch manager was efficient, professional, and personable. Jasmine at the desk was also very helpful.
