If you want to know ALOT about this business, take the time to read this review. It's long, but informative. In July of 2024 a Schurter Trucking company truck passed me going the opposite direction and rocks just RAINED down on my car and broke my windshield and put a number of paint chips in my car. I turned around and got video of the truck. I reported this to the trucking company AND my insurance. My insurance (State Farm) said to work with the trucking company's insurer, Country Financial. I talked to them and got ONE phone call from an adjuster and then it was silence. They never, ever called me back again. So I circled back to State Farm. Well State Farm has contracted out all of their broken winshield claims to a third-party company. This is NOT State Farm, but a completely separate company that cares nothing for me or my problems. They were absolutely HORRIBLE to work with. Calls continually dropped after waiting on hold for 30 minutes or more, they were really nasty people (not friendly or helpful), an it was a nightmare navigating their phone system. In addition, my insurance agent kind of left me on my own (since they can't really give any input on the third-party decision). So I'm left to navigate getting my windshield repaired on my own. Links (the third-party company for State Farm), told me to get quotes. I got some and decided I wanted to have the work done by a dealership. Links said they would call the dealership to get confirmed pricing. They never got it (I don't believe they even tried to call) and sent me a random amount that would not come close to covering the repairs at a dealership. I wanted to get Factory Market glass as opposed to After Market Glass since there is no guarantee with After Market that the calibration would work, plus I drive on back roads for my job and needed a strong windshield (as evidenced by what happened to it already). Well, I was alone to navigate this and it took me over two months of frustration, crying, arguing with Links and getting sympathy from my insurance agent. My insurance agent did ask around to his fellow agents who their customers were using in Salem for windshield repair and I was told Justin at Speedy Glass on 12th Street. I called and talked to Justin directly. He patiently listened to what I had been through and really sympathized. He then took my VIN number to get he proper glass and got to work figuring out pricing. His cost (for glass, replacement, and calibration) was ony $200 over what I was given by Links and over $700 less than what a dealership would charge! He said it would be no problem and I was overjoyed to support his business with the price I was given. I was so happy and felt a HUGE weight lift off my shoulders. I just had the work done at Speedy Glass last Friday and I am SO happy. I feel safe driving down the road and Justin's work is worth EVERY penny. Got a rock chip today driving home on the freeway. Went onto their web page and filled in their easy questionnaire and received a phone call from Jennifer right away. I was able to bring my car in that same day. Jennifer helped me file an insurance claim, it was so easy. Tom was the repairman and he explained everything clearly and concisely. Within 15 minutes my window was repaired and you could hardly tell there was a chip. Thank you Jennifer and Tom for making a bad situation into a pleasant one. Had a front window replacement years ago at their business. This last summer I did some repainting on my van. I had stuck something under molding around front window to hold it up so could paint. This caused the seal to be broken. Took it in, they resealed it while I waited (no appointment necessary) and best part, NO CHARGE. The manager did the job and was so friendly and down to earth. I watched while he did it and we had a great conversation. Bad part was his young employees were not as accommodating. Came in next day with another problem and they were quite rude when I came back like I had with manager. But also again got a great job. read more

Well no because I called Speedy glass for advice and Jennifer in Salem Oregon picked up the phone. She was sincere when she said she was sorry that this happened to me then used all her knowledge to explain the options. Her customer service went above and beyond. Her attitude was positive and friendly and she was able to make a bad day turn around. My daughters Scion Tc recently had been broken into, the thief destroyed the passenger window front. We called around elsewhere and other companies just didn't understand what our wishes were to get it fixed. We didn't want to file an insurance claim when the deductible was twice the cost of the entire job. No other company wanted us to do a cash/private job.we didn't want raised rates, we were already victims once. George at SPEEDY GLASS has the company under control. I called him Tuesday around noon, gave him the situation, as I did to all the other companies previously, and he promptly said "what time tomorrow are you good for, to come in" and I replied 8:00am. Less than 6 minutes on the phone, appointment booked, no questions remained. That's a good business habit. We arrived at 8:10, and by 9:23am the next morning the vehicle was done. We inspected his and Steve's work, it was perfect. Friday, when my daughter returned to town she was extremely grateful that she wouldn't miss work, wouldn't have to fight the rain damaging her interior, and would not have a garbage bag taped to her car. George and Steve really stepped up and did a job like it is supposed to be, they listened to the customer, and performed better than any other local auto glass shop. Didn't learn the first time-apparently they have a scheduling/communication issue. Both times I've had to call to ask where the hell they are... While driving on I5, a rock hit my windshield. I worried about the crack spreading, so I searched for "windshield repair" and found SafeLite in Keizer. I visited, found the waiting room full, and an appointment for a fix (not replace) would be two days and $120. I set an appointment, but went home that evening and searched a little further. I found Speedy Glass (in Salem). I recognized the name and remembered that they had replaced my Camry windshield for less than $150, ten years before. I visited the next day. Within 30 minutes, they had contacted my insurance company and repaired the crack in my windshield for $60. ((Insurance paid) While in the waiting room, I witnessed a guy come in and get a quote of $234 for replacing a windshield on his F250. Sherry, the receptionist/facilitator, was very friendly and smoothly led me through filing the claim and having the windshield fixed. I am embarrassed that I forgot how well they had treated me so many years ago. From this point on, Speedy Glass is my GO TO glass shop. read more

We called Speedy Glass to replace our windshield after a rock chip turned into a crack. When he arrived I asked if he could look at Driver side window...it would only roll down 1/2 way but would always roll up totally closed. He was nice enough to look at it and told us that he couldn't fix it at our house but if we bring in to the shop he would fix it. After he left we couldn't get the window to roll back up. We took it to the shop since we couldn't drive it in winter weather (now) with the window stuck half way down. They fixed it and then told us no charge (as it should be because it was functional before he "fixed it"). After we brought it home and a couple of days later, I took the car to the store and locked the door...it would not engage the lock on drivers side. Now I couldn't leave my car anywhere as it would not lock. I took it back to Speedy Glass and the manager asked me to come back later...brought back and he fixed the window mechanism that was obstructed during the window fix. He told me no charge this time...I was surprised that he added that due to their error...the manager went off on me claiming that he was doing that out of the goodness of his heart...he would have charged me for fixing the window...I reminded him that the window was working before his team fixed it... he raised his voice trying to argue with me....I left...beware... read more

I looked up windshield replacement companies in Salem and liked Speedy's price. They came out to replace my windshield and when I inspected it after the installation I noticed scratches in the new window. I refused to sign the paperwork and scheduled another appointment for a second replacement. It was replaced again while I was at work. When I got home and inspected the work, I noticed that the weather stripping didn't have any adhesive on it and pulled right out. It was dry as a bone. Terrible work. I'm very disappointed. They now have to come out for a third time to adhere the weather stripping. This is not rocket science. Come on, people. If you want shoddy work and multiple visits, then choose Speedy. read more

After being referred to this company by State Farm my call was answered by Dustin. When I explained that two windows in my truck had been broken, his comment was, "Dude, someone didn't like you!" He never apologized when I told him his comment was innappropriate and not professional and instead insisted it had been a joke. I have already filed a complaint with State Farm and recommended they no longer refer claimants to this business. I will be down at some point today to speak directly with Dustin's boss about this incident as well. Find another place to use, at least for a long as Dustin works there. read more

I had the bad luck to have my car broken into in Chico, CA. I called my insurance company, Liberty Mutual. They did not have an affiliate in town so I had a local mechanic do the work so I could get home. Once I was back on the road the next day, I noticed more road and wind noise than I used to get and an occasional whistle. I called my insurance company once I got home and they refused to help me beyond the initial reimbursement since I had not used their affiliate. My mechanic recommended Speedy Glass. When I showed up for my appointment, a man met me in the parking lot and remembered everything from the phone conversation. He took the car into the garage to take the door panel off. After about 20 minutes, I was seeing dollar signs knowing this was coming out of my pocket, when he walked in the office and said no charge! He said the window needed to be adjusted up and if that wasn't enough to bring it back and they could do it some more. I can't say enough nice things about these guys. They did not have to do this. I wasn't a regular customer. They are not an affiliate of Liberty Mutual either. They were awesome! The noise is 95% gone. What a relief! I want to say after some more experience with Speedy Glass that they are totally awesome! read more

Some scoundrel bashed my rear passenger window last night. I wanted to get it fixed right away due to the major rain coming. Not only did they fit my car into their schedule today, they stored it in their shop until the glass arrived so that it didn't have to sit out in the rain. And to top it off, they were $72 less than I was quoted on the Safelite (Keizer, OR). Very nice employees as well. read more

The only pleasant part of my experience with Speedy Glass was Tom, the gentleman who came to replace my window. He was nice and felt bad about the situation the happened. I called this company on Thursday, July 6th and was quoted $173 for a windshield repair. I had done an online quote and it was much more, so I was happy to have a cheaper price. The lady only asked me the make and model of my car and whether it was a sedan or hatchback. We set the appt for the mobile service for today. Tom shows up and says it's going to be $275. I informed him of the quote I received, he made some calls and said that unfortunately he can't honor the $173 but can do it for the $275. Apparently, even the $275 was wrong and whoever did the paperwork should have put $323. I was extremely upset that I was quoted one thing and told another upon arrival. I felt like I had no choice but to pay it. It felt shady to me. However, since the lady did not ask me the correct questions, and I haven't had a windshield repaired before, Tom didn't have the right sensor part for the window and couldn't even install it today. I now have to wait until Thursday to get it replaced. I will be looking for another place. read more

I used a Groupon offer to have up to three chips repaired on my windshield. My customer service experience was very in different. Nothing was asked about what dings needed to be repaired, no warranty information offered, and no explanation of what repairs were made. I waited at the car to give input as to what needed to be addressed and was told to go and sit in the waiting area. About ten minutes later I was told my windshield repairs were done and I was ready to go. I went to check on my windshield to see what repairs had been done and I was hard pressed to see that anything had been done. One chip still had a divot that didn't appear to have been filled. I asked the service technician which chips were serviced and was told that two were addressed. I asked about another chip and was told that it was a scuff and couldn't be addressed. Another chip was missed. I asked about the warranty and the only liability is the present cost will be applied to a windshield replacement. So in my mind should the chips spread into cracks my only recourse is to have a windshield replacement at their price minus my chip repair cost. That doesn't give one very many options. There is a real trust issue here and based on my experience I wouldn't place a whole lot of trust in this company. read more
