Their use of advertised "Fresh Beef" could not cover up the over well done brown sawdusty hockey puck served. We were told because waitstaff did not ask or write down customers burger preference, so the well done hockey puck was delivered. It was inedible! Disappointed, our table was less than 10 ft from the kitchen. Back of the house timing was way off! Next door two top tables had similiar order placed at the same time. Over 30 minutes later, the other two top had been served, eaten, and boxed their leftovers up To Go. Our entrees had not come. Luckily, we had ordered Peirogies. Their Peirogies are advertised as homemade. We chose them sauteed with onions. What we were served was a soup bowl of melted butter with cooked onions and Peirogies. Melted butter was all your tasted. Please look into Back of the House retraining. Restaurant didn't look too slammed. Not sure. With over a 30 minute wait for inedible food, we suspect that our food ticket was lost. It wasn't until we asked about our order, that they then threw something together. Return doubtful. read more

Food was normal bar food. We all got wings, which were pretty good 8/10. For appetizers we got deep fried pierogies, 8/10, cant mess up them can ya, we are 5 mins away from mrs.T, get better. Breaded Cauliflower, 5/10 mid. Mozzarella sticks 10/10, best thing i ate here... kinda sad. Mini bleenies, 7/10, good, a little cold tho. Bathroom was a normal, had to change the paper towels MYSELF, it was as clean as a wallmart bathroom. The place was nice, wasnt to decorated but that danny davito pillow in the corner was pretty cool. But heres my issue with this place. The servers where rude as hell, its like they crawled out of satans ass crack and went to work. As someone who worked in hospitality, you guys need to work on your shit. Stopped in here based on Yelp reviews. Started with a side salad. Just your typical salad. I did add bacon. The salad would have even even better with cheese added! The wings were delicious. First time in Frackville, was staying close by for weekend. I read about Black Diamonds's wings and just had to get some. Don't let the lack of curbside appeal deceive you, this place is so worth it. I was the first customer of the day. They opened at 1pm and I walked in at 1:02. I got a dozen wings, half Black Diamond sauce and half Creamy Parmesan. I also ordered the pierogis and a Flight beer on tap. Total price was $19.00, very inexpensive. The service was outstanding. Sherry the bartender was the only person working the front of house and bar, and besides being busy, she was extremely friendly and welcoming. The ambiance was casual and down to earth. The other folks at bar were just as friendly as Sherry. I walked out feeling like I was at Cheers. The wings were freshly prepared, plump, juicy, and so flavorful. However, OMG, the pierogis were to die for, served sautéed in butter and onions, I ate every last one. The pierogis were $3.95 and I think there were at least 8 on my plate. They say mini pierogis on the menu but they were pretty big to me. I highly recommend this place. I am going back tomorrow before I leave to buy some good eats to go. read more

Traveling through the area for the night and found this place on Yelp so decided to try. Outside not much, inside it was your classic neighborhood bar with lots of locals. Onion rings and All American Burger were excellent. Chicken tenders were lukewarm and like typical frozen ones but the "sooner/boom boom" sauce was spicey and delicious. Good beer selection. Not only is the food delicious, but the people are kind and caring. Driving from Scranton to Hershey Medical Center we stopped here to eat and ended up with a flat tire. The owner, Amber went out of her way to make sure we were safe and taken care of on that rainy, cold night. They helped change our tire to the donut & then called friends to open a garage for us so that we could make it to the hospital. Amber, and the people of Frackville are some of the kindest people I have ever met. 5 Stars for food & service, & 5 Stars for being kind humans. Will come back and recommend to everyone! read more

My family and I are in the area on vacation and looked for a restaurant for take out to bring back to our hotel. Online it had decent ratings, and menu had a wide variety. Unfortunately when we got there to pick up, no one even greeted us for 15 minutes. Food was supposed to be ready in 35 minutes, and it had already been 55 by the time the food came out. When we got it back to the hotel to eat, nachos had ZERO cheese on them, loaded fries that were supposed to have ranch on them had no ranch, Buffalo tenders were plain and the sauces we requested on the side of the wings were also not included. This local establishment is truly a hidden gem! The wings are certainly worthy of all you will read on this site, and rub and sauce selection is astounding! I love the neighborhood bar / pub feel and always look forward to my next visit. Food and drink prices are VERY REASONABLE!!! This is the only place where my drink tab is always less than my food tab - and the food tab feels almost free!!!! This is a place to have a good, unpretentious time while eating great food with attentive bar service and interesting customers. The owners are fantastic have a great thing here - keep it up! I've only been here a few times. Great little neighborhood bar. Cheap drinks, great food. Friendly staff and patrons. I wish I would've taken a picture of the wings. Some of the best I've had in a while (not counting my own homemade ones). They are crisp and they don't skimp on sauce. The Black Diamond sauce is a yummy creamy hot sauce. The garlic wings are great too, buttery with chunks of garlic smothering the wings. The Sweet Chili wings are delicious as well, like an Asian sweet/spicy sticky sauce. Nice little bar/restaurant right off the Frackville exit of I-81. Met some friends here for dinner after work on a Thursday night. It was my first time here and I had heard good things about the place so I was excited to try it. If you are driving by it and blink, you could miss it if you don't know where it is. I believe they only have on street parking, but I'm not 100% sure. I found a spot right in front so it wasn't bad. I ordered a dozen wings-- half garlic butter and half hot ranch. They were really crispy (how I like them) and a decent size. I also ordered fried pickles (I try them everywhere I go) and they were really good. My friends got the cheese balls and wow were they good! They tasted like mini grilled cheese sandwiches! Service wasn't the greatest, as we had to keep calling the waitress/bartender over for things we needed, but in her defense she was running both the bar and the dining area. I would definitely recommend this place for either dine in or take out! read more

My family of 5 has been here in the past with a pretty good experience. We came here for wings at 6:10pm and our wings came out at 7:45. The table that came in after us were served their wings before us by about 30 minutes and the waitress told us that they have a bunch of takeout orders that have to be fullfilled before ours. Obviously there is management and staff issue and this was our last tie coming here. The wings all came out hot but lacked sauces to the point that my 2 flavors taste like fried wings with no flavor. The waitress was good considering how busy she was. I know its not her fault but there is no reason my kids had to wait until 8pm to eat dinner when we showed up at dinner time and just got home at 915pm. Small town bar and very cool. The entrance is somewhat intimidating as it has no window to decide whether to go in or not for the first time. The absolute strangest thing about here though is no cell service or wifi signal (and there are residence row homes all around). Good place to bring a date to just plain talk like the olden days. The grub was slightly disappointing since that ran out of burgers by 9pm and I had to go cheesesteak which was marginal at best. But the dopiest thing was my half order of wings was brought out with my burger. The wait from the time we ordered Black Diamond Wings and Jalepeño poppers to when served was 50 minutes! Each time we inquired about what was the status we were told that they make the Black Diamond sauce from scratch but it would be "worth the wait". It seems ridiculous that food would take this long especially fried appetizer type foods. This is also their signature dish so shouldn't take long. The wings were mediocre and definitely not worth the wait. Atmosphere and decor was dismal as well. We were there September . No apologies given for wait time so this may be par for the course. Jalepño poppers were awful, mostly breeding with tiny bit of cheese. I decided my 2 star review was too generous as now even 10 months later I still think of it as my worst dining experience. read more

The obvious snobbish reviews just astound me! Clean? They do. No wifi signal? That can vary by the type of carrier you have. Black Diamond is a legendary DIVE bar in the heart of the coal region. Always sterile. Always has been friendly. And I don't know what they put in the wings...but it is like the best kept secret in the coal region. Decent crowd on most nights. i seriously enjoy this place .. yes, they are pretty slow with orders but let's face the facts - it's a small venue and i can't imagine they have a large kitchen. They have phone orders coming in every 15-30 minutes, plus the chairs are always full. Waited an hour to get food we ordered at 4:30 and they opened at 4:00, but by the time we ordered there were orders in for over 60 wings plus whatever else. I'm a very understanding person so i get it, but some people who think they're coming in for a quick burger and beer will be seriously dissatisfied. Do your research people.
