Service was HORRIBLE!!! I've been an assistant manager, bartender and server for over 18 years. I don't think I've ever walked out of a restaurant. In a restaurant with 3 2 top tables at 2:00pm on a Thursday; we and 6 other guests waited 10 min to be told "be with you in a few". 5 min later the hostess with the Monroe piercing casually walked out of the back and finally seated us. We waited another 15 minutes at our table without being greeted by our server before leaving. Do not go to this establishment. We went out to celebrate my birthday. I regret every minute of my dinner. The food was awful. The service was excellent. The rice was mushy, the supposed steak that was supposed to come with the meal was not a steak. The deconstructed kabob was not bad. The salad bar was all right. The drinks were good. Eating dinner last night service was very slow, food was ok. The cleanliness is very bad the floor is extremely dirty and sticky in bar and bathroom area, and needs to be professionally cleaned, also the tablecloths need to be replaced also sticky and dark. I was a frequent customer ,but refuse to eat there until the floor,carpet and other problems are addressed.Rubies can be a great business for Pottsville but needs more help and better all over care. read more

I've had severely undercooked steaks here twice, but since it's so close I came back anyway. Big mistake. 2 people at the bar. Young lady eating all the way to the right, man in the middle of the bar, taking up every seat with McDonald's food and wrappers. He says "you wanna sit here? Sorry, go ahead, take those utensils over there, they're still clean". I figure he's a customer, no he's an employee. There's bits of food in front of me that I wipe away and order a beer. There was one table of people there and they ended up walking out. The guy gets up and goes into the kitchen, the door is open and I see him put an apron on. I use the bathroom and he comes in there in a hurry, pees, and dashes out the door. Didn't even look at the sink nevermind use it. I come out and tell my friend "Last time, let's go somewhere else". Me and my mom went for a night out to eat and as soon as we stepped in we were greeted kindly by a nice gentleman and he quickly seated and even asked if where we were seated was alright. Our server Larry was amazing, he was very funny and always gave us updates on our foods and ensured everything was how it was supposed to be. I really want to like this place, the salad bar is always fresh, and the staff is always humourous and polite, HOWEVER, after being served completely raw chicken fingers and kindly notifying my waiter, he informed me he would take my salad bar off the bill? 4.99 salad bar for free? You gave me completely raw chicken and this was your answer.. I didn't make a big deal about it... And refused the free salad bar. Payed my bill and left....called cooperate the next day, and was apologized too, to me this wasn't enough to make right. This could have been a child who had eaten this chicken and become very ill I was highly upset at the way Ruby Tuesday handled the situation and for that I will never eat there again. read more

Went here a few times it is unfortunately very hit-and-miss in different ways, I got the same Fish platter a few weeks ago, and it was different the 2nd time, but 10 times worse. Very inconsistent, The service at this location is also inconsistent and hit and miss. Sometimes the service is good and sometimes terrible. If they correct their management issues here maybe I will come back, but it seems like its an ongoing problem as they just had a kitchen fire the other night. read more

Went here a few months ago. They sat us at a table that barely fit my whole family. Once the waitress came we were going to ask for a bigger table. That never happened though. We sat for a good 15 minutes and still hadn't seen a server. So we got up and left. My husband decided we'd give it another try on Saturday night around 7. Went in and waited about 10 minutes until we saw anyone to even seat us. A gentleman came over and said it would be a few minutes as they were short staffed. Eventually the bar tender came over and sat us at a table in the bar area near the door to the kitchen. As soon as we sat down my daughter put her hand onto some dirty on the table. Ok no biggie we will just wipe it off, but then to hear one of the workers in the kitchen asking someone to cover for her because "she has to poop" and then this same girl continues to talk about "how she farted" keep in mind this was someone who was talking in the kitchen. Good evening I'm writing this review as I just left from having dinner at ruby Tuesdays in Pottsville . when we arrived there was no one in the front to greet us as it was my boyfriend and I waiting and no one else waiting and ten minutes later we were greeted by a server and the restaurant was not packed it was empty only 3 tables were dining in the inside room . by the time we ordered our food we didn't eat until 45 minutes later . I ordered the tacoDillas and when my food came out the taco Dillar were very spicy and on the menu it doesn't say spicy , also the tacos were burnt as I know they grill the tacos but it shouldn't be burnt so I called the waitress over and explained to her. It was too spicy and she said no problem. She will get me one without the spice and I explained to her to please have them bring them out and I specifically asked her to tell the chef I do not want them burnt and when my tacos came out they were worse then the first order they were black burnt . I couldn't enjoy my food and I showed her how burnt they were and she told me that she told the chef I didn't want them burnt but yet she still came with the burnt tacos to my table and didn't say anything , this was a slap to my face as we still paid for it but we shouldn't had and there was no manager to be found as all your employees were in the back where they cook , not a good look for your restaurant. and no wonder that place isn't packed the service is horrible and unprofessional ! shame on you !!! will never be going back and I will post the pic of my burnt tacos !! Horrible just horrible !!!!! I will be calling your corporate office tomorrow to complain as well! We have eaten here a few times. For a chain, it was always descent. We went tonight expecting the same. We were very surprised to learn it isn't anything like we remembered. We both had the corn chowder. It was lukewarm at best. We also had the salad bar. Most of the items were empty or just plain disgusting looking. We had the ribs, chicken fingers, and shrimp dinner. The ribs were ok. I've never seen shrimp that looked like the ones they served in my life. They looked like skinny mozzarella sticks. The chicken fingers. They were as hard as a hockey puck and very dark brown. The only redeeming thing about this meal was the attentive waitress. We probably won't be going back. read more

FIRST TIME EATING AT RUBY TUESDAY: To begin with the Pepsi was flat and the waiter stated "they had a 2 liter in the fridge that must have been flat". Ordered spinach artichoke dip appetizer and when it arrived it was cold as well as when we ordered our main entree shrimp scampi & mac and cheese. The only thing that was worth while was the bread stick. Customer service was horrible. Waiter tossed straws on the table at us, we also asked for salt and pepper and he proceeded to attend another table until asked again for the salt and pepper. Food was bland, and very unpleasing to eat. Waiter Tossed my card on the table instead of placing it in my hand. Manager was informed about our concerns, brushed off the complaints, and walked away. Service was good. A little disappointed that they were out of baked potatoes at 4:45 on a Sunday afternoon. Also, I ordered my steak medium and it was served nearly well done. We went here in December, 2021. Understand that restaurants are having difficulty with staffing and supply, BUT, I wonder if this was a valid excuse for this restaurant. There was a time when we LOVED Ruby Tuesday, but no longer. More locations are closing and this should be one of them. We had a coupon for buy one get on free entree on this day only. As we were going to be in this location, we decided to use the offer. Big mistake. We would have been better off to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. First, Ruby Tuesday has changed its menu and NO ENTREES include their salad bar. Big mistake. They eliminated their biscuits long ago, another mistake. So many of the reasons one would go here are now gone. Anyway, we ordered the steak asiago. It wasn't bad, and I will say we had a fresh baked potato which is rare, but the quality of most everyone else was awful. I did add the salad bar which is now $5.99, a bit pricey as an add on, but wouldn't be bad if the ingredients were fresh. This salad bar was DISGUSTING. Spinach was old, lettuce, brown, mushrooms DRIED UP. Many of the other ingredients were simply old. Edamame beans turning brown. Egg, dried up. The salads, potato, macaroni broccoli simply looked unsafe to eat. The croutons were stale. Also, they had a martini special for $5. I ordered one and per the menu, made it a large for an uncharge of $1. Waitress came and advised me the uncharge would be $2 for this drink. I accepted that. However, when the drink came, I wish I had taken a picture. I am not sure what they did, but there was perhaps 1 oz of vodka (that tasted like water with an additive) and definitely no vermouth. The entire experience was enough that we will definitely NEVER return here. I understand this is a bit of a distressed area, but there are so many more choices if you are willing to travel a few more miles. The inferior quality of the food speaks volumes for their pride in what they serve. Just horrible. read more

Went to dinner tonight with my husband to take advantage of the honey crunch chicken sandwich and salad bar special. When we were seated we noticed that the top of the table was dirty and sticky, so we moved to an adjacent table. After returning from the salad bar, we noticed that the new table was also dirty. We called the manager over to show him and he didn't seem overly concerned or surprised, he just stated he would have to "yell at someone". No apology. Beware of being overcharged! Picked up take out for myself and my coworkers. I got to my car and realized that I was overcharged. I went back in to let them know and I accidentally locked my keys in my car and had to get back to work. I ended up having to reorder the food so we could have lunch. We stayed in Pottsville for two days to attend an event. Since we had company, we went to a familiar restaurant chain just to be fair. It was a saturday night, but we were still seated right away. Our waiter was nice and the service was fast. The food wasn't exceptional, but it was good enough. The drinks were yummy though! Long island iced tea... Store was cold. Service slow and disorganized. Appetizer got lost until we asked for it. Our 5-year-old's food came out 20 minutes before our food did, so she was ready to go before we even started to eat. The kitchen staff took it upon themselves to substitute our food. When we asked about it we were bluntly told "we don't have that." How about, " I'm sorry. We're out of what you ordered. Can we get you something else instead?" To top it off, they overcharged us and we had to ask for the bill to be corrected, even after we pointed it out. I've been on the fence about Ruby Tuesday and this experience solved it. This was the worst experience I have ever had at any food establishment ! I don't even kNow where to begin ! I only went because I received a gift card ! What shoUld have been a nice lunch with a friend turned into a 3 hour ordeal ending with my food being inedible and a waitress that explained that all the employees gave up and a cook who came out to see my inedible food and sitting with us telling us how they have no workers in the kitchen ! I ordered a mix drink to cope with it all which I never received because the bartender was trying to heel cook food ! Got charged for an extra meal didn't even refund it only gave me a $5 of my next meal coupon like that made it all better after telling me I'd get a half off coupon. I'm so done with this location. They made my wife's meal wrong twice and charged us for the missed up meal she had to have remade when the first time it had things she was allergic to! Like if you have to go out to eat just don't here. Terrible staff and terrible management. Absolute crap location, management and staff. I won't be returning even with this stupid measly $5 coupon. We arrived about 3:45 pm Sat Feb, 29, 2020 and waited about 3 minutes before our presence was acknowledged, seated another minute later. And Waited, and Waited. After ten minutes I went and used the restroom, upon arriving back to the table it was apparent that we were still being IGNORED. So we left and will never set foot in a Ruby Tuesday again. I hadn't gone here in several years because of a few times when I felt I didn't get good value for the money paid. In the past few months, I've gone here a few times with different people, and have been pleased every time. They made several changes to the menu that I think are definite improvements, notably sides that are real vegetables prepared in a somewhat more healthy manner than many other places' offerings. Not sure if this is a temporary thing or not, but on this visit our server told us we could count the salad bar as one of our sides. The last time I was there, we had a complimentary salad bowl. SImple, but the dressing was very good. This time, I had a half rack of ribs prepared with a dry rub. They were very tender and the portion was just the right size. My own gripe about the food is they should snip the tips off the green beans before they grill them. We don't need them that fresh. Service was excellent. Our waiter was very cordial, friendly and efficient. I also like the atmosphere of the restaurant. The chairs are comfortable; I enjoy having a meal without shifting my legs around to avoid table legs, pedestals, etc. read more

Talk about a filthy restaurant ! My wife and I ate dinner there at 5:00 PM on Sunday, 15 September 2019. The place was quite empty of patrons. The hostess promptly seated us at a small booth table. We had to move the another small booth in that the original table was dirty, gooey and sticky over all of the top. We moved to another adjacent small booth table only find it was as bad, or worse, than the original table. The filth was so thick on the side of the table it came off on our clothing and the top was no better. We asked for the manager and he was completely useless. His response was "I guess I have to yell at the staff again." After we showed him the filth which was on the table and on our clothing, he did not even offer an apology. He was useless. We mentioned we had been waiting for 20 minutes for the croutons on the salad bar to be restocked. He said he would tell someone. This "manager" is a goof and a poor representative of the ownership.
