I am writing to formally register a profound and unequivocal complaint regarding the grooming…read moreservices provided by Madelyn Sanderson, which resulted in significant distress and injury to my dog. Prior to the grooming session, I explicitly communicated that my dog suffers from severe anxiety, possesses highly sensitive nails, and reacts poorly to blow dryers. These crucial details were conveyed to ensure a calm and safe experience for him. Madelyn'a immediate response was one of overt rudeness and unprofessionalism, marked by dismissive eye-rolling and a sarcastic retort, "Oh, like I haven't heard that before." This utterly disregarded my legitimate concerns and set an alarming precedent for the subsequent care. Upon collection, my dog was visibly trembling and in an unprecedented state of distress, far beyond his usual initial apprehension. It is important to note that at seven years old, he has undergone numerous grooming sessions throughout his life without ever exhibiting such extreme post-grooming trauma. The full extent of the horror became apparent shortly after. Once I secured him in his car seat and returned home, I discovered a horrifying scene: his entire car seat was saturated with blood. Closer inspection revealed that every single one of his nails had been severely butchered and was bleeding profusely. This was not a minor 'quick' on one nail; it was a comprehensive and shocking mutilation.I immediately contacted the establishment to address this grave matter with Madelyn Sanderson and her response was one of complete denial and appalling indifference. She disavowed any responsibility, callously suggesting the injuries were likely due to my dog moving around too much, stating "it happens," and incredibly, instructing me to "get over it." This complete lack of accountability and empathy is inexcusable. As a direct consequence of her gross negligence, two of my dog's nails subsequently developed severe infections, necessitating veterinary intervention and causing him immense pain and discomfort. It is unequivocally clear that Madelyn Sanderson possesses neither the necessary temperament nor the professional competence to work with animals, particularly those with specific sensitivities or anxiety. Her inability to interact with stressed animals, coupled with her dismissive attitude and demonstrable negligence, renders her entirely unsuitable for such a role. Given the severity of this incident and Ms. Sanderson's disturbing reaction, I have formally reported this matter to the Board of Health, my local Governor's office, and the Better Business Bureau. I firmly believe that if such egregious treatment has occurred with my dog, it is highly probable that other animals under her care are also at risk. This level of neglect and unprofessionalism is utterly unacceptable and must be addressed with the utmost seriousness.

YOU GUYS DON'T EVEN ANSWER YOUR PHONES. I have been bringing my 2 year old blu for 8 weeks. I…read moredecided to board him this weekend. Upon pickup the staff wasn't friendly and never had been at pickup or drop off. I ask several times how things went and typical response is oh you didn't get a call so everything was well. The receptionist are young, inexperienced and typically don't have any answers to questions about your pet. We have never been offered a tour and offered a bath after a weekend. When my boy blu came out today at pickup he was timid, scared, full of dried pee, face down, not excited and depressed. Upon arriving at home he has been acting strangely and not the upbeat dog that we are accustomed too. I honestly believe that your pup sits in a kennel more often then not. I'm more upset because he was covered in dried urine so I assumed he's kennel wasn't cleaned. He looked terrible and don't understand why. As a facility that is ran by vets it sure needs improvement. They have been under construction and the lobby looks cold, dark and quiet. I've asked several times how many dogs are here today and usually about 10. I believe you need to visit them and see what you can improve. You're not giving or being with the pets like they are. I have a feeling they go out for a small period of time and kenneled the rest. I feel like pets are treated not the way they should be. Blu's nose was all red and nails all beat up so that indicates he's in his kennel way too long. Your competitors have warm and friendly almost home rooms to sleep. If you had this your dog wouldn't be covered in dry pee. Couple things to help improve: 1.Act like the front staff knows and cares about your pet 2. Offer a bath after boarding for more then a couple days 3. Offer a tour to new clients especially the first day of drop off. It takes a few minutes 4. Train tour front desk to be friendly because it seems like things are always an inconvenience 5. Visit your local competition. There is a reason why you have such a big place and not many dogs per day 6. Train your staff on upgrades asking for a bath nails etc. 7. Remove asking for a tip on your credit card machine because at this point I don't know why anyone would tip. 8. Introduce a vet to your clients. 9. Spend more time with the pets instead of keeping them in a kennel for most of their time. 10. Make some immediate changes because your business won't survive if this how your business is ran. There is several reviews similar to mine so I can't imagine we aren't all saying the truth. We have 2 more days left to return and would rather forego the money and go elsewhere. I also emailed in to your only email so maybe I'll get a response. I'm so sad for our boy right now. I would highly recommend any new client to pay attention to your pet and consider going elsewhere because there is much better places for the same price. I hope you can use my review to improve. Even though your under construction 2 months in it really turned us off as well. I won't be returning to your facility for anything in the future. I've called over 20 times today on 05/16 and they won't even answer their phone. It's very sad. Update: The manager has called me several days in a row to check in on blu. In the mean time there is one current and former client that have reached out to me. The current client says that their dog pees in the house often and is most likely being in a kennel. The previous client indicates they don't come back because their dog has been traumatized as well. I'm not the only client that has indicated concerns to this daycare. I also contacted the owner of the daycare in PA twice and left messages and email and not one return phone call. The experiences at this dog daycare are traumatizing to pets. Also, the company has the tenacity to call other businesses about my review. This is a low blow to me personally as that is unfair business practices. Look at yourself and see how you can improve your business. All clients go elsewhere.

Kind, Ethical, Responsible Team I have had two dogs prior to…read morethis one and have taken them to several other reputable training organizations. This is the only one that bothered to find out about my specific goals for my dog and the only one that bothered to get to know my dog. I think everyone in the place came out to meet her and watch her at her first training. I had the usual reservations about using an e-collar on my dog (is it inhumane? Is it punishment? Would her personality change?) Andrew carefully demonstrated the collar to me and when we used it on my dog she did not indicate that she was in any distress. She learned quickly and seemed very proud of her accomplishments. At home, even without the collar she continues to do the things she learned in her only lesson. Two days after her first training, she was diagnosed with Heartworm. Because she must be kept still throughout the long treatment she cannot attend training, go to dog parks, doggy day care or even run. Sit Means Sit refunded my money, did not charge me for the lesson, offered advice on how to keep her still, and offered to continue to help when I needed it. I am forever grateful. When my dog is better (cross your fingers) I plan to bring her back. I would not hesitate to recommend Mike and his team for any dog issue whether it is a serious problem dog or a dog like mine who is a little timid, wants to kiss every child she sees and just needs a few skills to reinforce safe behaviors.
