Scott and Kasey came out to our house for general pest control. They did an excellent job inside and out and even went beyond. We have been dealing with springtails. Pest control does not kill them and I knew that. But, Scott recommended a drain treatment that our old exterminators did not mention. Been meaning to write this for awhile... had a mouse in my house, and found this service on Yelp. Scott, the owner, responded immediately and we quickly setup a time for him to come, scope out the situation and my needs, and provide an estimate. He and his daughter Kasey were professional, friendly, and thorough. It was $165 total for all the traps/packs/etc places throughout the house, in the crawl space, under the deck, and garage. That night - late, like 9pm - I texted frantic because my dog chewed on one the of traps. I was worried I should take him to an emergency vet. Scott called me immediately, asked a few questions, and assured me he was safe. And he was perfectly fine. Black Hawk Pest Control just removed a basketball sized wasp nest from a tree in my yard. They were fantastic to work with. The owner, Scott, promised to have someone here in a day, he explained who exactly would be showing up, and when I mentioned a smaller nest that I could probably handle myself this winter, he said they could just go ahead and handle it for no extra cost. The gentleman who showed up, Ryan, was very professional looking, explained exactly what he would be doing, and provided information about what to expect over the next couple of days based on the life cycle and behavior of hornets. Besides how great this company was in handling my problem, their price was much better than expected. Besides handling insects, they also are experienced in rodent control. Scott Black and his assistant came out two weeks ago for problems we were having with carpenter ants in the garage and around the house. He also retreated for the rodent problems we had experienced previously. Within days the problems were gone. Wow, I cannot say enough good things about this pest control company!! We noticed some flying termites & Black Hawk was out to inspect them the next day. All options were discussed with us after a thorough inspection of our property & home. Then, less than a week later, he returned to do a full home termite treatment. Not only that, but during the treatment he noticed a few ant hills & areas carpenter bees were hanging out. He gladly sprayed for these bugs & other insect pests for us! Additionally, he gave us a few mouse bait stations as we mentioned we sometimes get mice when the weather changes (the charm of old houses, am I right!?). We recently had our annual spray done on the interior and exterior. We LOVE this company! We had it done last year before we moved into our new house and we didn't see anything all winter until the spring. For someone who isn't a huge fan of crawling things, this was the best. I also really like this company because what they use is safe around our beloved dog. Scott is very friendly and he even sprayed our yard for fleas and ticks to protect our doggo! We had bees that had gotten into our wall from outside and started coming into the garage. I sent the request on Thumbtack on Sunday night and by 8 am Monday morning I had a quote from Scott. He was actually the only contractor that replied. I set up an appointment for the following day and he arrived right in time. He was in and out in about a half hour. He explained what he did and told us it would take about 7-10 days for the treatment to get fully into the hive. He also said if in 10 days the bees were still prevalent he would come re-treat at no charge. He was professional, informative, and efficient. I had a great experience this month with Black Hawk Pest Control and would recommend Scott Black and this company to anybody. We had a rodent problem in the attic that we were not able to effectively control ourselves given the materials available on the general market. Scott was extremely responsive when I called, provided an accurate quote during the first phone call, came to provide the treatment as soon as he could after I called, and offered multiple times to come back for free within 30 days to re-treat or try different solutions if our problem continued after his very thorough initial treatment. Scott walked around the house with me showing all potential entry points for rodents into the attic and instructing me on how to fill the entry points so that rodents could not re-enter. Scott's service was very thorough, friendly, prompt, and professional. We are now nearly 2 weeks out from treatment with no apparent issues! PLEASE CALL BLACK HAWK FOR YOUR PEST CONTROL NEEDS!! We recently bought a house and a few weeks after moving in, found a nest of yellow jackets in our siding. Of course, it was a weekend, and in the evening. We called Scott at Black Hawk and he made it a priority to come take care of our problem the next day.
