I recently purchased the Black Hills Ammunition 556mm 77 grain tipped match king. I used it in an AR15 on 12/30/17 and dropped an Elk with it with one shot. This ammo is awesome and I would recommend it to other gun enthusiast or hunters. I have photos and proof that I shot it @ 160 yards. I was not confident in the AR15 ability but will be taking it and the black hills ammo hunting from now on over my 30-06 and my AK47. It has beyond prefect accuracy. If I could shoot gold out of my gun, it would be about the same price as BH. Of course, it would hit dead center EVERYtime. Even their reman stuff is amazing!!! By far, the most consistent high end brand of ammo out there. There's rumor that BH ammo was even used to take out Bin Laden. I wish more local places in CA would carry it, but it can be found online. read more

Bass Pro Shop staff were snobs of the highest order, who wasted my time and wouldn't help me, when they discovered that I was from out of state (Infuriating)- But not these guys; they were really kind and answered all my questions in the most courteous manner. I will order my next shotgun from these guys, and I don't buy cheap stuff !

This location is in the same plaza as Ross and Boot Barn, with plenty of parking. Scheels in general is a dog friendly store, so I visited this store with my little girl dog and my husband. We were greeted by a few friendly employees when we entered the store. This store is a little smaller than some of the other locations that I have been to, as it did not have a ferris wheel in the middle of the store, but they do have a cafe that sells coffee and tasty sweets. There is also a bowling alley, which cost only $1 for 5 frames. My husband and I ended up playing a round each while we visited. Our visit was fun and pleasant. We enjoyed browsing the store after playing a short round of bowling. If I lived in the area, it is most likely that I would be a regular.

Through 1994 when Jack moved the business I went in there to buy parts, ammo and use the indoor range. I knew Jack's three Daughters Sue, Gail and Nancy. A classy family for sure. Someone mentioned price gouging and I have one incident with Mrs. First that comes to mind. I had broken the bolt handle on that very 22 that I mentioned earlier. I went upstairs to parts and ask Mrs. First if she had a new bolt. She brought a bright new one out and asked me if I had some attachment to the rifle. She then mentioned that the bolt was new old stock and would cost me 8 times what my dad had paid for the rifle. She then advised me to take the bolt and handle downstairs to Steve in gun smithing and he would weld it for $8. Very fair company in the 33 years that I traded there. Jack left us in 2017 but I need to get up there before I get too old.

I could refill a prescription, a very critical medication, on Monday. Unfortunately, that Monday they are closed for a holiday. Had to wait until Tuesday, could've been a very bad situation for me considering the medication. I live out of town and it is approximately a 60 mile round trip. Told them I could do my errands on Saturday and that would be one day early. They wouldn't make that one day exception to their rules. They are more concerned about policy than patients health and convenience. The other review they have is from a doctor, I'm sure a friend of owner. They must have enough business to be comfortable treating and losing customers this way. Running out of these types of meds is playing with fire.
