I have a few issues, starting with the fact that they recommended 8 metal caps for my 6 year old. When I got a second opinion only 2 were recommended. They over schedule so you never wait less than 30 minutes past your appointment time. Parents are not allowed to go back with kids. When reading over the records it's indicated that my 8 year old was uncomfortable being alone, and asked many times to be with me, his mom. It's heartbreaking. Staff is nice, hygienists take time to chat with you before and after kids go back, but I've never met any dentist. read more

Previous dentist said there were a couple of teeth that needed work. Went in here and they took him back and did x-rays. Came out and said the teeth were OK for now and they needed to see him again in three months just to be sure. But then they gave us a referral to an endodontist. If his teeth were OK and could wait for three months why the immediate referral? And the real kicker, the endodontist they referred us to does not take our insurance. The only thing this place accomplished was to delay care and generate a bill. I am going to suggest to the insurance company that they read the reviews of this place before they approve any more referrals here. read more

I have been taking my oldest there for 11 years and my youngest for 7 years they enjoy going to the dentist. They are not scared!!!! I have never had a complaint the 11 years I have been there not once, they have all been very polite and very informative every time I have had a question they have answered. They didn't beat around the bush. I at first had a problem with not going back with my kid but they calmly explained why they take them back by themselves. read more

Treated poorly because I didn't want them to take my child to the back without me. Also was pushed very very hard to use fluoride although I had expressed how I we were a strictly fluoride free family, they pushed it every single time we came in. Just recently they told me my 3 year old had 8 cavities and needed to get 8 teeth covered with silver caps which required her to go under anesthesia!! Went to a different doctor for a second opinion and he said if she wasn't feeling any discomfort then a surgery is unnecessary especially for her age. He also said there weren't 8 cavities, only two on the bottom! They will treat you as if you are a leper, laugh at your choices and tell you your children can't eat ANYTHING processed or sticky and cannot ever drink any kind of juice (I.e. freeze dried fruit, fruit snacks, granola bars.. pretty much every snack that keeps them happy). Bottom line.. go somewhere else. They just want your money and will belittle you to give in to drop all your money for unnecessary reasons. read more

We were referred here by our local dentist after our little one fell and broke her tooth in half. We were a little apprehensive after reading some reviews, but once we got there we were greeted with smiles and the nicest receptionists. Once we were called back for our consultation the assistant and Dr. Williams treated us with great respect and during her tooth extraction they were very professional. SCAM ARTISTS! The woman who answers the phone is beyond rude, she's just a mean person. I called to schedule my kids appointments and verified they accepted my insurance through the military. When we checked in, they again verified my insurance. They didn't tell me until the appointment was over that they weren't in network. That's horrible business practice. They knew what they were doing because I questioned why I was being charged $200.00 at checkout, and the woman whispered something to another lady and then turned to me and simply stated that's just how the insurance works. Uh no, you just failed to mention your not in network for one of the most common dental insurances. She was trained to lie about it at checkout. Now I have another bill that I received in the mail. When my husband called to dispute the bill we were told they didn't have an office manager, there was not a formal dispute process, and they refused to give the full name, phone number, and email address of someone we could speak to resolve the matter. Another issue I have with this place is that the parents are not allowed to go back to the exam room with their children. Afterward the dentist is supposed to talk with you in another room but he was with another client when it was supposed to be my turn to be speaking with him. At this point I seriously question if he even examined my child. I have already reported them to my insurance after hearing the same story from several other military personnel. COVID had nothing to do with this appointment in anyway. First, I would prefer to be given the option to join my child when getting treated. My biggest problem with this office is the price of treatment. Not only was it over three times the price of competing offices, it needed to be paid in full prior to the treatment. Most places do that but their prices are competitive. I also felt pressured into making an appointment as soon as could be scheduled, if not I would be putting my child at risk for serious infection or complications. My advice is to seek care elsewhere. A place where you are treated like family and money is not the only reason you are tolerated. read more

Only went twice. Refused to let me back with my son unfortunately I was stupid and went along with it. They told me he had a few cavities no big deal and we scheduled to get them fixed a month later. In the mean time we brushed twice a day, flossed each time, and used the fluoride gel as directed. Went back to get cavities filled and they said he had gotten 10 times worse. Was confused because we were doing everything we were supposed to in order to keep his teeth healthy. My son had two adult teeth coming in behind his front baby teeth which were both loose. They told me they needed to pull those and more because his "mouth was crowded". They asked my son if he was in pain and he said no. My son is very vocal and would have told them the truth if he was in pain. They suggested he be put under and they also wanted to put a crown on a baby tooth. I scheduled the surgery but just had a bad gut feeling. I called my sister in law who is a dental assistant and asked if her boss would check the X-rays and my sons file. He checked it all as well as another dentist and they both told me surgery is absolutely unnecessary. They said they can't see any cavities and his baby teeth are fine and will come out on their own. They also told me the notes for why BHP wanted to do surgery is because my son had horrible oral hygiene, had tons of infection, and was In immense pain. None of that was true. I called and tried to find out why they were lying and the lady said that my sons file was never sent even though it was because the X-rays had his name on it. I am livid they wanted to do an unnecessary procedure on my child which could have screwed his teeth up for life. Surgery and anesthesia should always be the very last option ESPECIALLY for small children. Please please PLEASE do not take your child/children here!! Unfortunately rapid city is very hard to find a dentist who will accept Medicaid but please keep looking!! read more

RUDE RUDE RUDE! The front desk staff was really good at taking a person down early in the morning. I had several front desk people trying to help me with our new patient registration. I didn't want to provide my information, like my SSN. They didn't like that. The staff that took my kids back were very nice. The wait was not long. The people I talked to after the appoint were nice. I did have to talk to several different people because a different person took in a different kid. It was a little confusing. But they were all very nice ladies. The lady I talked to to schedule my daughters oral surgery was a JOKE. By far the worst person of the day. She was extremely rude when I told her that was not going to work. I scheduled surgery anyway. I did have to call back and the number I was given to cancel had no idea what I was talking about. read more

This place is absolutely APPALLING. I wish I had seen reviews prior to going to this facility. The ONLY thing this facility is interested in is FINANCIAL. They do not care about your child or providing safe quality, evidence based care. Their bottom line is financial. The staff is extremely RUDE, including the front desk, schedulers (who do not have any formal training to prioritize scheduling, regardless of what rank number the doctor assigns to the patient), the business manager, and business office. The first thing we were asked for.....$$$$$$. Then we schedule surgery. Watch out for that $300 convenience fee if your child need to be done in an outpatient setting because the physician said it had to be done there.... Nope regardless if you elect are told the procedure has to be done at an outpatient facility, they charge you $300. And wow, does that $300 add up for the doctor when he/she does several cases (surgeries) in the facility following one another. And the case was only 15 minutes. I want to make that kind of money an hour. Additionally, if you do schedule at an outpatient facility, make sure you have your total balance paid in full a week ahead of time. Or they will send out the cavalry and call everyone on your emergency contact list to get the money you will owe out of pocket prior to the surgery date. The staff not taking me back with my child is another huge concern. Because of HIPPA and the kids not being able to read the computer but me being able to. Excuse me, my children can read. I wish I would have read better or sought professional advice from other healthcare providers prior to seeking dental care from these money hungry people. read more
