We first worked with Alana and her team during our friends' wedding in 2023, and needless to say we were impressed immediately with her ability to organize everyone to get the bridal party photos she needed and we wanted. We kept her name in our heads for our own wedding plans, and when we were ready to begin the first steps, Alana was the very first phone call we made. Now, needless to say, as a first-time fiance I had never planned a wedding before. No idea where to begin. When I tell you Alana's first consultation was the BEST thing for us, she was absolutely amazing! She gave us a pretty rough idea of how a wedding day would typically go from a photographer's perspective, and we were able to basically wrap our plans around her schedule. I am so grateful for that. She was able to put my mind at ease, was incredibly thorough and communicative, and I could not WAIT for her to photograph our wedding. We had a second consultation/conversation a few weeks before our wedding date as well, and even with me feeling absolutely CRAZY about any potential hiccups with our wedding, she was able to make me laugh and help focus on the important thing - me, my husband (then fiance), and OUR special day. She had been great up to that point, so of course, I was expecting the day itself to be pretty great too! Little did I know I would be BLOWN AWAY with how amazing Alana was. Somewhat last minute I moved our meetup spot to a different location, where my husband and I did our first look and exchanged private vows, and Alana was able to accomodate - and in the end, everything worked out really well. She is a PRO at directing you in the absolute kindest way possible. I can't even explain it, there's just something about the way she can guide you along with the process in order to capture some of the best photos that you will undoubtedly cherish for the rest of your life. I was even getting complements and kind words from family members who were in attendance, about how great she was. While we looked at other photographers and their costs - in the end, the cost was worth it, and let's face it, Alana was ALWAYS our first choice! I will never be able to recreate what a perfect day our wedding was, but if I had to do it all over again I would still want Alana as our photographer. Dear reader of this review,…read more Stefan is amazing! The work he does really speaks for itself. My husband and I were a little late in the game when it came to finding a photographer. We wanted someone who could do both photography and videography, and that's when we found Stefan. From the very beginning, he was so kind and such a joy to work with. On our very first Zoom call, we already knew he was the one we wanted. At the time, he was in Germany--it was midnight for him, but 6 PM for us here in the States. Anyone willing to stay up that late just to get to know us is clearly dedicated to their clients! Even though we had already taken our own engagement photos, Stefan offered us a free session with him so we could get comfortable working together before the wedding. I'm so glad he did, because it made our actual wedding day so much easier and more relaxed. On the big day, Stefan and Colin were not only kind but also super attentive. Colin kept checking that we stayed hydrated (it was such a hot day!), and both of them made sure everything we needed was taken care of. He was amazing to work with; our meetings with him were fun and put us at ease while also being incredibly informative. Even though we were planning our wedding from out of town, we never had a difficult time getting in touch. Day of, he went above and beyond, traveling with us to a few locations for pictures and walking us through a variety of shots. He even stayed a bit late to make sure he captured everything we wanted when the reception was running behind schedule. He had a few preview photos ready to see before the reception even ended and had all the rest available for us to view in an easily accessible online gallery a few weeks later. His giffy booth was also a hit with our guests. Our photos turned out gorgeous! He has a great eye for the posed shots but was also great at capturing people smiling and having fun naturally, which is exactly what we wanted. I could not recommend anyone more highly.

They are professional and helpful but still down to earth people that are easy to get along with. You don't want some shmuck walking around taking pictures, but it's important to feel comfortable with your photographers. Our engagement shoot was a great introduction to what it feels like to know a camera is on you, but with Rich and Alyssa behind the lens I didn't feel weird or uneasy. That is probably why I look so fab in all these pics ;) I love the style and look of the photos, but mainly I adore how they capture the day. Even when perusing photos from weddings of people I've never met, I get that feeling of anticipation, excitement, happiness and love. When I was looking through the pictures from my own wedding I felt all those emotions rush over me again, but it was so fun to relive the day in a way I wasn't able to. I loved the shots they took of other friends and family enjoying themselves, the things I didn't see since I was busy being "the bride". These pictures are timeless. I know I will cherish these photos until forever. As a kid I loved seeing pictures of my parents and grandparents in their younger years, and these photos will be exciting for me to show off if I have my own family down the road. And finally, Rich and Alyssa are cool people. They have a beautiful family and are great people. I feel like I made a couple of new friends after this experience. TLDR amazing for wedding photo/video package deal, very easy to work with, and BEAUTIFUL results…read more Coming from NYC, when my husband and I started planning our Buffalo wedding, I relied heavily on social media to find a video/photographer I really liked. I came across Expressions Studios and their photography + Videography package was too good to pass up on. Not only did it include a full wedding day coverage, but because we were getting married at Avanti Mansion, we also got an engagement photography session. After a couple of phone calls with them, we decided to choose them for our wedding. We had Paul, Alexandra (photographer), and Aaron (videographer) work on our wedding. For our engagement photoshoot in a garden, Alexandra was able to guide us through poses that made it look natural and also allowed us to do our own thing to make our personalities shine through the photos. She also has a great eye for finding good angles and backgrounds. We were so happy with the photos and couldn't wait for the wedding day. Leading up to the wedding day, we had a phone call to discuss the important shots and moments we want highlighted. For our wedding day, both Alexandra and Aaron captured the best moments of the day. They were able to move around so quickly and get all the angles, but we barely noticed them. We got our photos about a month after our wedding. They gave us ALL 1000+ photos they took with color enhancements (sepia, black&white, or color). It took awhile to go thru and choose photos where everyone's eyes are open - but I personally preferred it this way and being able to choose my own photos I want to keep. We got our 12 min video and 1 min highlight video at the same time around 1.5 months after the wedding - I was hoping to get the 1 min trailer sooner after the wedding to relive the day, but the 12 min version was definitely worth the wait.
