I was traveling in my wife's minivan with our Labrador, Mia. During the trip, I began having battery and alternator problems. After replacing both the battery and alternator in North Carolina, the battery warning light came back on late Monday night. I drove to the nearest AutoZone and stayed there until they opened the next morning. The wonderful employees at AutoZone recommended S&S Mobile Mechanics, and I am incredibly grateful that they did. When I arrived, Chris, Shawn, and Shawn's wife warmly welcomed both Mia and me into their home. They made sure Mia had a comfortable place to rest while they immediately began inspecting the minivan. Chris identified the alternator problem within minutes and replaced it right there. They charged me only $150 for the service, which was extremely reasonable, especially considering how quickly they helped me and the situation I was facing. They were respectful, professional, compassionate, and genuinely good-hearted people. They understood that I was trying to make it safely to Texas and went above and beyond to help ensure that I could continue my trip without further problems. I am happy to say that Mia and I made it safely to Texas, and the minivan is running wonderfully. People like Chris, Shawn, and Shawn's wife give me hope for humanity. We need more people--and more companies--like S&S Mobile Mechanics in this world. But, when I took my dodge dakota to Buddy's automotive for a wheel bearing replacement, power steering repair, and brake pad replacement. When I got my truck back and the front left break caliper was broken (which left me on the side of the road) and two connectors and a hose was missing from my washer fluid reservoir. Buddy's wants to charge me an additional fee to have the caliper repaired and I sure hope that I can go back to get my washer parts. If you want a job completed do not go to Buddy's Automotive in Pendleton SC. You may end up like me and have to fix it yourself on a weekend that you could otherwise be spending doing better things. because you cannot afford the labor cost at another shop to fix Buddy's mistakes!

Every tow company I called was completely slammed due to the weather. I called Josh at Carnesville Automotive around 5:30 PM on Sunday. After verifying he had a used tire in stock that would fit, he told me he'd be there in 30 minutes. He actually beat that time and arrived even earlier! Josh was incredibly kind and helpful. He pulled the wheel, took it back to his shop to mount the tire, and had me back on the road in no time at all. It is rare to find that level of service and genuine care these days. Josh is truly the salt of the earth, and I am so grateful for his help. If you need someone reliable who actually cares about their customers, this is the place to go!

State Farm ended up totaling my van and gave me plenty of time before they were going to pick it up. I asked if they could please remove the trailer hitch and made it plain I would pay for that. I was curtly told they didn't have time for that with it sitting on their lot for over a week. I don't know if my appearance (long hair) or my having my service dogs with me. They kept trying to tell me that pets weren't allowed in the rental van my insurance secured because I have 2 large service dogs. Enterprise had no issues with this but the guy at Willbanks obviously did. Overall a very bad experience dealing with this shop.
