If you know, you know... but if you don't, let me introduce you to Black Market Bakers. When I say I love this place... I loooooooooooove this place. From the moment you walk in, the customer service is top tier. The staff is always warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. I've been twice now, and both visits were consistently amazing -- which is rare and appreciated. Now let's get into my order because I am absolutely a creature of habit. I always get the breakfast sandwich, but let me be clear: egg fried HARD. I learned the first time that runny eggs are not my ministry, so fried hard it is! And I swap the bread to brioche. BABY. Mouth watering as I type this. The brioche takes it to another level -- soft, buttery, and the perfect balance to the savory sandwich. To sip? A hot white chocolate oat milk latte. It has been hitting especially right with these cold Maryland days we've been having. Smooth, comforting, and made just right. Now the sweet treat is where I switch it up. * First visit: oatmeal pie -- good, but a little too sweet for my personal taste. (If they ever make straight-up homemade oatmeal cookies? I will gladly stand in line.) * Second visit: the market bun and a danish -- and listen... both were SO good. Fresh, flavorful, and not overwhelmingly sweet. The only thing to keep in mind is that the inside fills up quickly -- seating is limited. But once the weather warms up, they do have a few outdoor tables, which will make it even better. Overall? Consistency, quality, and customer service that keeps you coming back. Annapolis definitely has a gem on its hands

Omg ! This place is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Super busy but display was still full! The employees were friendly, patient and understanding because when it was my turn I still did not know which bake good to choose! Family friendly, and a great spot to meet for an early coffee. I highly recommend!!

No way pastries on display, that look this amazing, should taste as amazing as they do. The breakfast sandwich is delicious. My personal go to is the Black Market Bun. Think croissant wrapped into the shape of a muffin and thoroughly dusted in sugar. The weekly specials never fail to disappoint either

Oh my gosh how is this place so overwhelmingly delicious? There are so many things to choose from and every one of them was better than the next. the avocado toast was great with an egg added to it but the honeybun stole the show for me. We also enjoyed the tiramisu pastry and the baklava pastry. They make great coffees too. Small seating area that consistently has a wait for a table and now I get it. Yum yum yum!

This was a quaint little bakery located in the port area. There was a good amount of parking, but be sure to read the signs. The avocado toast could have used some additional flavors to make it more savory, so i would opt to try some of their breakfast sandwiches next time around. They have a limited menu in terms of breakfast items. But they have a nice selection of treats, including vegan items. It would be a lot easier if things were labeled, but staff did a wonderful job explaining everything. I would return for the pumpkin maple muffin I had for sure!

Black market bakers is the place to be for breakfast! Be sure to grab your spot in line early because the line will spill out the door especially on weekends! The original breakfast sandwich is delicious, the eggs are dippy making for a messy but tasty meal. The sourdough bread is excellent and it's so hard to choose from their variety of pastries! The chocolate croissant was flaky and sweet, and the fig pastry was definitely a crowd favorite. It even changed a couple of my friends opinions on figs! Everyone working here was patient and kind. They kept the coffee containers full and there's complimentary water. Bathrooms are clean and right across from the front door. There are about 3 tables inside (noise level is pretty high since it's a small eatery) and a couple tables outside. Many marina parking spaces and room by the front. Definitely come by black market bakers when you're in the area for a delicious breakfast!! (They also serve lunch).

I was waiting for this little spot to open up! I did not realize it was right across from my house. I walked in and it was a nice cozy vibe. The menu is to the right when you get on the line. There is fresh bakery items and you can see them while you figure out what you want to get! They also have sandwiches and beverages. I had the vanilla honey danish and it was soooo good! The staff was friendly and I would love to sit inside when it's not busy. Looking forward to trying other items.

Omg !!!! Amazing always love this bakery. The staff is always so kind coffee's good and sweet goods are fabulous.

It is a dangerous discovery when you're only a stone throw away from a Black Market Bakers. This is one I must caution and for my sake, exercise great discipline. I could get one of everything LOL! I have enjoyed the caprese on foccacia, chicken salad on croissant, and several pastries. My most favorite is the blueberry lemon scone and banana mascarpone muffin. I've not been lucky to get their cinnamon bun. There are vegan options weekly so check them out, as noted they're subject to availability! The team here are so hospitable and during my first few visits were incredibly patient with all my asks and requests. I simply appreciate the one to one no pressure service. Parking is tricky once you get into the boatyard, the building is left of Baywoods right at the Port Annapolis Marina. There are no EV stations, and ramps are accessible off the lot. I recommend and caution when coming early! :-) #yum *this location is closed Monday & Tuesday.

First time at the highly recommended Black Market Bakers and it did not disappoint! It smelled amazing in there and was organized. When I arrived, it was a long line but it moved quickly. I got the breakfast sandwich with focaccia bread and that was good, huge portion. It was slightly salty but still had a fresh taste. The banana mascarpone muffin was my favorite and it almost tasted like a cupcake. Very good. I will be back to try more treats!

Service was amazing and friendly. This trailer was in a cute little place with other food trailers. I had an el blanco sandwich, it was super fresh and delicious. Also had to go a chocolate croissant and a baguette. I will definitely be back when I'm in town again.

    Pastries galore.

They are definitely lighter on the sauce, so if that's your preference these are perfect. Personally, I like my wings a little saucier, so I would probably ask for extra sauce next time. The chicken itself was fried perfectly and the portion size was pretty solid. For my main, I got the buffalo chicken wrap with no buffalo sauce and it was amazing. The lettuce, guac, and pico all tasted fresh and paired really nicely with the breaded chicken in the wrap. My only complaint with it is they go pretty light on the guac and pico, so I wish there was a bit more of both. The pricing overall was fair too and didn't feel over the top for the quality and portions. The fries that came with the wrap deserve their own mention because they were phenomenal. Crispy golden brown on the outside with a soft, fluffy inside. Honestly, I'd come back just for the fries alone. I requested outdoor seating when making the reservation and they have a really nice outdoor section with a great atmosphere and view. They did a good job with the space they had, but the tables are pretty close together, so you can hear basically every conversation around you. The chairs were also a bit smaller and not the most comfortable for longer seating. Service was great all around. Our server was very polite and even helped my very undecided sister choose her meal. Everyone was friendly and it definitely feels like a nice place to bring friends or family. My only real complaint, and honestly this applies to a lot of places nearby, is the parking. It was pretty rough. Other than that, definitely a place I'd come back to.

I had a mixed experience overall…read more I ordered the chicken and waffles. The fried chicken had good seasoning and flavor, which I did enjoy. However, the chicken was breast meat and sliced thin, which made it come across as dry. I did tell the server I liked it and didn't go into much detail since she seemed very busy and I didn't want to add stress in the moment. Still, it's not something I would personally order again. The waffle situation was more frustrating. I initially received cornmeal waffles, but I had told my server ahead of time that I strongly avoid cornmeal. She said she would substitute them, so I was surprised when the plate came out with the original cornmeal waffles. I didn't realize at first and ended up taking a bite before noticing. I let the server know and she had the kitchen remake it. The replacement Belgian waffles were overcooked and dense, so they didn't really improve the experience. The butter though was genuinely delicious, just very rich and more of a holiday-style flavor than something I'd personally crave in warmer weather. I also had a basic cup of coffee made with Rise Up Coffee Roasters, which was $4.50. That felt overpriced for what it was. I could have walked right across the street and had a specialty coffee from the source for very little extra cost, which honestly would have been the better choice. Overall, the experience had some clear issues, especially with the waffle mix-up and consistency, but it wasn't completely disappointing. I just don't think I would personally order the same meal again.

I made a takeout order and got the crab cake omelette (w/ a biscuit) $18.29, legendary scone: Blueberry $3, single blueberry pancake $2.89, single maple bacon pancake $2.89, and single cinnamon roll pancake $2.89. - The crab cake omelet was my 2nd favorite as they surprisingly didn't skimp on the crab additions. The biscuit was just alright, but luckily it's best once combined with omlette to make a good sandwich. - The blueberry scone was probably my favorite, as it was pretty good. It was moist, fresh, and well done. - The trifecta of pancakes ranged from just okay to decent, and my ranking would go blueberry, maple bacon, and then cinnamon roll. For some odd reason, the texture of the cinnamon roll pancake was notably inferior to the other 2. Overall, my experience was quite a good one due to the scone and crab omelet delivering the most. -- #issa.cheatday
