Really nice spot, overall! Not too busy today but everyone seemed nice from the barista to the other customers. It's nicely styled and the desserts look amazing. Today I just grabbed a hot matcha latte with pistachio syrup made with almond milk. It wasn't too sweet at all, right temperature. I stopped in at Seoul Blues for a post dinner dessert. Located at the mall, it has a quieter cool laid-back feel. The moody decor and quiet atmosphere host young professionals and students alike. My first time coming I got a hot chocolate and croissant The croissant was very flaky and buttery...the hot chocolate was very milky & chocolatey...it was perfect Today I got something I've never had which was a butterfly lemonade which was lemonade, blue matcha & pea flower...I wish they had a bigger size than 20 oz. I went here on a Saturday evening around 6pm, they have boba tea but they were out...they close at 9. The dessert selection was minimal but there was enough to choose from. Cheesecake, macaroons, mango smoothie, a chiclet milkshake and Thai tea was the order. It was all average at best, and the cheesecake tastes old. This place had good service at the register and the drinks came out ins fair amount of time: the seating was comfortable to me, my wife said it felt outdated and dark. They have games at the register which is nice. Now back to what you want to know, would I go back? No. Not because it was "just average" but because there is a lot that I need to try and because it's JUST AVERAGE...this was like I pass if I can just get a 70%, and I got a 69.5% and because the teacher likes me I pass with a 70%. Usually, I love Seoul Blues at Annapolis Mall. It is cozy, quirky, and typically much better than the average mall coffee stop. The food and coffee have always been excellent, and I am still mourning the loss of the Basque cheesecake--it was one of the reasons I kept coming back. Unfortunately, today was a major disappointment. A friend and I stopped in for coffee and dessert. The employee who greeted and served us was not especially friendly and seemed like helping us was an inconvenience. It also took a surprisingly long time to receive one pre-sliced piece of cake, a mocha, and an iced latte. The bigger issue was the payment. Our total was $21 and change. I paid with a $20 bill and two singles, but I was not given any change back. The employee simply closed the cash drawer and continued making our drinks without saying anything. I would have understood if there had been no change available, or if she had asked whether I wanted the extra amount left as a tip. But nothing was said. It was only change, but at that point it became about the principle. A staff member should not quietly decide their own tip because a customer chooses not to make a scene. I have genuinely liked this place, which is why this was so disappointing. I hope this was an off day, but between the missing Basque cheesecake and this experience, I may need to find a new coffee spot. read more

My friend and I stopped by Seoul Blues Coffee and Dessert before heading to Sandy Point last Saturday morning. Overall, good vibes. Lots of coffee and non-coffee drink options along with Korean-inspired pastries (probably shipped from nearby? Don't think they're made in-house). They use La Colombe beans here for their coffee. I got the cold brew and a strawberry cream bread. The cold brew was OK -- a bit bitter on its own but went better when consumed with the pastry. The strawberry cream bread was also just OK. The bread had a rough texture and the strawberry cream wasn't great. Either way, good to try a local spot while I'm here in Annapolis (which is almost never). Te me start by saying that I am so glad that my husband and I stopped in here. We had just finished watching a movie at amc theater and decided to come in here and see what it's about. Nothing short of amazing, our server Bradley assisted us and he gave us our drink recommendation (Seoul Bules DaBang coffee Iced rich cream Korean style drink) which was delicious. We'd come back for it again. I want to try their boba and or smoothie next time because the highlight of this entire visit outside of the customer service was the dessert display and we order the raspberry mouse cheesecake, the mango pahana mouse, and the biscoff tiramsu. These desserts were soooooooooo (inserts eye rolls) amazing. My husband didn't even get to the car before the raspeberry mouse cheesecake was gone . Sooo bomb! This place is so cute!! stopped by here after going to kako claw and was pleasantly surprised to find a pretty Korean cafe just like the ones in Seoul. The interior was very clean and nicely decorated. I was debating between the pistachio cream latte and a matcha latte and the really kind barista suggested that I get the iced matcha latte with pistachio cream cold foam and it was amazing! I'm really picky about my matcha too, so I highly recommend if you like sweet drinks. We also tried the Soboro bread which was really yummy. Saw this cute coffee spot after leaving a movie and decided to give it a try. Since it was later in the evening, I opted for tea instead, which was delicious! There was a deal where you could get selected pastries for 50% off with the purchase of a a drink. The space is super inviting and very relaxed. I love stuffed animals and was so pleased to see the large teddy bear relaxing by the moon! There is plenty of seating inside and the menu was pretty good. I only tried a drink and pastry, which were perfectly made, but next time that I'm in the area, I'll try a new item or two. The pastry reminded me of a Korean bakery and that's when the staff told me that the owners also run the bbq spot across the hall and offer deals at the coffee place if you eat there! I went in looking for a regular smegular coffee shop but when I walked into Seoul Blues coffee and desserts I was blown away. The shop is filled with interesting furniture, books and games. Definitely a unique place to come enjoy coffee and dessert with anyone or just by yourself. Service was great. Both young ladies were efficient and helpful. Definitely team working to get our drinks and desserts to us (Freddy and I). I got to enjoy the tres leche coffee. It was unforgettable. Definitely felt like I was enjoying a tres leches piece of cake. Fred's velvet cheesecake was moist and delightful. My dessert was the hazelnut cake. It was scrumptious, moist and the ingredients tasted fresh. There are so many options to choose. The desserts were neat and presentable. The pictures cannot justify how great these deserts tasted. Was excited to check this place out after seeing it online. Ordered the bulgogi hot dog. It was filling but very very sweet and the bread was stale. I also ordered the pistachio latte, which also was on the sweeter side. In regards to service - definitely needs more training. My friend and I stood there for at least 5 min without anyone acknowledging us and no one was in front of us. When the drinks were ready, we could barely hear the barista call us out.. this resulted in my friends drink actually getting taken by someone without our knowledge. I didn't have the best experience at this Café. I believe the staff was new and not experienced as a barista. The cashier was not friendly and did not listen to me as a valued customer. She made the wrong drink and had to remake it. I ordered the Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea. I asked for Oatmilk and was given whole milk even after I was given the wrong drink. The tapioca boba was overcooked and stuck together. I did not have a good experience, but hopefully after reading this review, it will give the Café constructive feedback that can make them better in the future. read more

I haven't been there as much this summer, as I have had a family member in the hospital. But in addition to the great food and beverages, there's something super cool about Seoul Blues, which is that it's almost exactly half way to the Delmarva beaches. So, before I brave the long journey over the bay bridge, I like to swing by, hit the bathroom, have an iced coffee and something good to eat, then head on my way. Really cute cafe. If I lived closer I would far prefer to make this my go to remote office location versus a chain Starbucks or Dunkin. They make lattes, coffee and other drinks amongst the fresh cakes and macarons. I ordered the fresh strawberry cream cake which was extremely fresh, light and fluffy however no real sugar or sweetness not even the cream but I didn't mind it too much since I only want sweets every blue moon but even I was wanting just a hint of sweet Tess. Almost imagine eating a slice of angel food cake with whipped cream and strawberries on top. The cost is rather pricey. Oh I forgot to mention they have gelato by the cash register. One slide of cake was $9.99 and the scoop of gelato $3 which for the scoop wasn't bad but $10 a slice of cake isn't anything I can justify. read more

After back to school shopping my daughter wanted to try some red velvet cake at this coffee shop, it was delightful. The service was great & friendly and the cake served on a real saucer vs plastic or paper. Their Korean iced coffee is my favorite. It's called Dabang, quite literally is. It isn't very strong, but you can still taste the roast even though it's also very creamy. Even after letting the ice melt, my coffee was still just as delicious as it's first sip. My friend got a Caramel Macchiato and she said that was delicious too; she loves her coffee strong so it was perfect for her. Quite and cozy store. Everyone there is also extremely friendly.. granted, usually one or two people manage the store for the day so it can get busy, but I know I will still be taken care of. Beautiful and cozy shop! Unfortunately, my first experience was not good. There was only one employee, initially, which was okay because that employee was waiting on someone and there were only two of us waiting in line. However, it took the employee a minimum of 5 minutes to make the customer's coffee. Then the person in front of me placed his coffee order and sat down. Concurrently, another employee came out to check stock in the dessert cases and went to the office. I then ordered an ice cream cone and paid. The employee working the customers began making the coffee ordered by the person who ordered ahead of me. The other employee came back and was asked to make my ice cream cone. I received my cone and left. When I'd eaten down to the cone, I took a bite and quickly realized that the cone was stale. I couldn't go back to let them know but it was frustrating.
