They also have a ton of items for sale from merchandise, fresh bread, loose tea, coffee grounds, cold pressed juices, salads, etc. There were also many gluten free and organic options. Finally made it given I have seen their store often and have to say the food is delicious. The rails-to-trails cookies are wonderful and their sweat potato soup with bread is delightful. Even enjoyed the homemade lemonade. It is an excellent bakery. read more

Found this place on a vacation a couple years ago. Now we drive 90 minutes to stock up on their gf rustic bread every 3 months (unfortunately they don't ship). Its delicious and freezes well. ...And excellent customer service. owner responds quickly to texts and always a friendly person at the counter when we get there. read more

I have been going to Sprout since they opened in this location. I am very sorry to report the quality has been going down since the beginning. I have tried most of the products offered. Today I went in and bought a loaf of Multigrain bread (pictures included) and came home and sliced the loaf. There is a giant air pocket through the entire loaf. There needs to be some quality controls. SO DISAPPOINTING! I am willing to pay for quality foods and regularly go to multiple locations to pick up those quality items. Honestly, I expect more...you should also have some supervision for the young people working because overall the case was sparse at best. read more

I decided to give this new spot a try after an appointment in Annapolis. Eat Sprout is in the shopping center with Trader Joe's, Hole Good's & Home Sense. It's a cute, clean cafe located next door to Home Goods. I started off with a decaf cappuccino that was simply divine but for $5.25 (paid 75 cents extra for oat milk), it could have been a little larger than 8ozs. Still I'd purchase it again because it was just that good. Forgive the order I tried the items but my coffee was hot so sweets came first. Desserts included the gluten free coffee cake, which rated a 9.25 out of 10. It was dense, moist and full of the traditional flavor that coffee cake should have but often lacks. The cinnamon crumble topping was flavorful but again not overly sweet, so if you like really SWEET cake, this isn't for you. I really enjoyed it and went back to purchase a loaf for my family. The Jewish bread was nice but in a different way as the bread quality was soft with a chewy texture, and it was layered with chocolate and orange zest. I also tried the Lemon Brownie which was pretty good. It was moist but the brownie lacked real lemon flavor (amazing what a little zest in the batter could do), and the glaze had a nice lemon flavor while not being too sweet. Food items included the tabbouleh power salad and the kale & Quiana power salad. The tabbouleh salad had a good amount of kale, quinoa, cranberries, pecans, carrot & onions blended and tossed with a lemon & mint vinaigrette, which almost overpowered the ingredients. Overall I enjoyed it but I'd definitely reduce the amount of dressing. In fact the salad has a slightly bitter taste. Next, the kale & quinoa salad with a red onions, carrot strips, pecans and a yogurt Dijon vinaigrette dressing was one note...unfortunately, the note wasn't good to my taste buds. Sorry. I definitely have to avoid this one on the future. Lol The two juices (Cherry Limeade and Beet Lemonade) need no detailed explanation, except to say the Cherry drink was excellent (just the perfect amount of cherry juice and lime, sweet and delicious). I can't rate the beet drink or the gluten-free Hot & Sour soup yet but trust if I think you need to save your $, I'll let you know. Tasty stuff, but it's expensive enough that I can only go once in a longish while. Also, when I went on my lunch break, I ordered a smoothie, and after I ordered another customer came in. The barista took the other person's order and filled it before making my smoothie, I'm guessing because my smoothie took slightly longer to make. However, that ate up a bit more of my lunch break, leaving me a very short time to finish my smoothie before I had to go back to work. That was kind of frustrating. I got: the Dirty Banana smoothie - small, but packs a delicious, filling, and nutritious punch the Strawberry Brownie - great texture, great ingredients, but the strawberry flavor was overwhelmed by the sweetness, would be perfect with less added sugar to allow the strawberry flavor to shine. read more

I found this gem on my FIND ME GLUTEN FREE app. I went for sweet treats, but as I was checking out the very cheerful employee asked to f I had ever tried the bread. She took me to where all the breads were and explained the featured variety for the various days of the week. Her favorite is the rustic loaf, which looked amazing, so I bought one. I couldn't wait to dig into it when I got home! It was hands down the best gf toast I've ever had. My daughter used some to make me gf stuffing-to try out before Thanksgiving. It was DIVINE! Hot entrees, salads, wraps are all excellent. Very flavorful, fresh tasting. Especially appreciate the low cal lemonade, as I'm diabetic. Hot drinks and soups are also very good. My one regret is thar the food has no nutritional information listed on the packaging. My doctor has specified a limit to the number of carbs I should eat per meal and I have no idea how many carbs their food items have. Providing a nutritional analysis is an expensive process I know but could be invaluable in expanding the customer base. People who eat healthy want to know this information. Thank you. I visited the State House location and it was wonderful. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming and the food selection is great. I got the pad Thai and Eskimo bars and both were delicious. The pad Thai was not spicy but flavorful enough that I didn't need to add hot sauce (which I normally would). The Eskimo bars do taste a bit "healthy" but are quite good - not overly sweet. Though be warned, I microwaved the pad Thai as directed for two minutes but the directions didn't comment on what to do with the lid. I left the plastic lid ajar in the microwave and it melted and stuck to the base container. Luckily it didn't seem to contaminate the food. read more

Just updating since I've been back a few more times since my last review. This place has such great quality items, including all of their grab and go meals! Perfect if you need something quick for lunch! So many healthy and/or gluten free choices that all taste delicious too. I've tried the peanut crusted salmon, Peruvian chicken, and honey pot chicken and all 3 were great! I also had an iced matcha latte with lavender and loved it! Well I had the Eskimo bars which were excellent. The Turmeric Latte was horrible! It was over powering, it tasted like ginger and a lot of lemon. It was too tangy. I didn't taste any turmeric at all. The 2 ladies didn't take kindly to my feed back which I was respectful about and didn't offer me any return or exchange options. Not to mention I grew up with turmeric as a part of my diet/cooking and in drinks so I literally have first hand experience. I asked them do they use turmeric for their turmeric latte. They said they use one of their vitality drinks (cold) then use some mixture with turmeric. Super fail!! They are using some cold vitality drink and heating it up. Sounds like the worst combo. The Beets Lemonade was disgusting. It was so sweet, I took one sip and I was done. They need to be open to criticism and make the necessary changes instead of culture appropriating. From turmeric lattes to chicken curry salads just try your best to treat everyone equally. If someone tells you something doesn't taste as it should offer an exchange. Otherwise you are using other people's cultural food to make $$ and still not taking heed. It's disrespectful! read more

Since checking this place out, I have become a regular customer, and now come in 1-2x a week for a grocery restock. I have had no time to cook since the new year, and had been eating out every meal.... but there are so few places around with healthy options and I was feeling awful and this was bad news for me, (especially recovering from a ED). I feel so healthy and refreshed after eating from here, not that icky sluggish gross feeling we all know too well from eating bad. I am so picky about what fruits and veggies, organic items, etc. and thankfully sprouts has provided great options for that! The baristas/cashiers are always so helpful and kind to us. Some of my favorites are-- ALL of the soups (seriously that chicken and rice is perfection, especially if you are under the weather), turkey chili, thai wrap, veggie wrap, egg roll in a bowl, drunken noodles, bbq chicken and succotash, the vitality ginger drink (that spice burns but feels good!), the challah and sourdough bread, eskimo bites for a treat, and the strawberry blondie brownies! I am trying new things as the menu changes, but these have been on my constant restock when available of what I have had so far!! I recently learned they can heat the items for you, so you can eat a hot meal there (I have not done this yet myself, as this is like grocery shopping for me so i take it home... but i have seen lots of people in there enjoying their meals!) I have seen some complain about the prices, but if you know the quality of what you are getting (local, organic), then you would realize these are very fair prices! If I have ever wanted to request something or had a slight issue, Sprouts has always been more than happy to accommodate.
