Delightful chill waitress. Patty melt, cheesesteak hoagie, and fries were excellent. The coleslaw was exceptional. Relaxed atmosphere.

Really, they are a 2.5 Food was on time, staff was friendly, and that is where the stars come from. The food was low quality, across the board, and while prices are cheaper by about 10-20% for what I have near my home, I found the quality and taste to be way lower than 10-20% worse. Fries are better at Wendy's. Black Olive uses a very cheap, basically hollow fry that has no substance or flavor. I felt like I was eating fried filler ingredients (like fried instant mashed potatoes). Reuben was a mess of low quality cheese, artificial-tasting dressing (that was way too sugary), and corned beef that might have been decent if not for its accompanying shady co-stars. Meatball Parm sandwich was pretty generic. Meatballs were more filler than meat, no real meat flavor. Canned-tasting marinara, and flavorless cheese. Unfortunately it was really disappointing and not at all in keeping with their Yelp rating.

Apparently this has been here for some time. But I was recently in town and decided to have lunch on a Sunday while the Eagles were playing. It was not packed and is a BYOB establishment. However, there's a liquor store right next door. I had a party of 4 and we were undecided about what to order, breakfast or lunch but after looking at the regular menu and then the breakfast menu, we decided on lunch. We ordered an open face roast beef w/fries, crab cakes (4 came w/meal) w/fries, smothered pork chops and a turkey Ruben w/fries. The food was very good. Everyone commented on how well everything tasted and large portion that we received. Enough for the 3 of us to have enough for later. The fries were the best..nice and crispy and perfectly cooked. The price worked out to be about $20 a person. I can't say anything negative about the service. She was attentive and helpful with questions asked. She seemed to be pleasant and was engaging w/us.

Great service! Very reasonably priced food with a large menu! Calamari was very good. Nice enjoyable lunch in a very nice and clean place. Casual atmosphere. Nice place for the family to go.

Place was bustling. Seemed short on wait staff. Came for breakfast on a late Monday morning. Got the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on whole wheat toast. Small orange juice. The sandwich was delicious!

Service was slow, as stated by other reviewers, but w/ such a small staff what can ya do. Below is what I ordered and my rating: Chef's Special Chicken Marsala w/ Carbmeat and Shrimp 4 out of 5 Sweet Potato Fries 5 out of 5 House Salad with House Dressing 4.5 out of 5 The Chicken Marsala would be a higher rating had it been a little more put together. It was just the chicken with a few pieces of shrimp and crabmeat on top. It all tasted great, but it wasn't mixed together properly, just thrown on there. It would have also have been nice to have more than 3 pieces of shrimp (it also was quite expensive for this dish The fries were A+. Nothing to complain about here. Tasty, plentiful, and good price. Salad was also basically flawless. Overall, a good choice in Vineland to eat!

We began with freshly baked rolls served with oil and butter, followed by the spinach artichoke dip. The dip was creamy, flavorful and served with plenty of chips. Everything tasted fresh and generous. I ordered the veal parmesan and it was outstanding -- a huge portion ( 2 Filets) perfectly cooked and honestly one of the best I've had out. I substituted my pasta for two vegetables and the meal also came a choice of soup or salad. The salads were very fresh. My husband ordered a seafood pasta dish loaded with shrimp, scallops and crabmeat, with enough left over to enjoy the next day. He was very pleased with his meal. For dessert, we ordered two of their mini cakes from the menu -- the key lime and the lemon raspberry. Both were incredibly fresh, flavorful, and only $6 each. A perfect finish to the meal. Our waitress, Kristyn, (Kris) did a great job. No worries at all, she took excellent care of us from beginning to end. All the workers were busy, attentive and kept the tables clear. We didn't try the pizza this time, but their brick oven pizza looked amazing. We'll definitely be trying that on our next visit. Overall, the ambiance, decor, service and food were outstanding. The Green Olive is a beautiful restaurant with delicious options, warm hospitality and generous portions. We will absolutely be returning.

It was not an absolutely perfect dining experience, but I will give kudos where kudos are deserved. I will say, the outside of the restaurant gives way more opulent feel than what is on the inside. The villa looks like one out of Italy with statues on the property, a nice little outdoor area to run around (if you ask my almost 2 year old). The inside is casual, so no need to get overly dressed up like my family did (unless you want to). Fresh baked rolls and a pesto oil are set on the table to start. It was a bad day to be roll and oil at our table. While I was not incredibly overwhelmed by the dipping oil, the majority of our party was practically fighting over the little dish of green-oil-goodness. All of the entrees are served with soup or salad. The salad was a little sad, but it wasn't enough to ruin the review. I just assumed the balsamic dressing was a vinaigrette and not just straight acid burning your insides. The calamari was good! Perfectly crisp, accompanied by the perfect marinara for dipping. As for entrees, I went with the limoncello entree with chicken. The sweet lemon cream sauce, is unlike anything I've ever tried, and perfectly paired with asparagus, sun dried tomatoes and artichokes over linguini. Would order again, but also would likely order a different dish because there were so many delicious looking entrees across the table. I was most intrigued by the dishes that our party got with the cheese sacchetti. They are like most other cheese filled pastas but the shape and texture really gave you a lovely pop of cheese as you bite into it. The waitress was fine- not friendly, but also didn't mess anything up, aside from not bringing a dish for disposing shells from the seafood rissoto (she's forgiven). All-in-all, I look forward to returning, again!
