Hours after placing order when they should be being delivered, I received notice they canceled the order because its "too much hassle to deliver to a company" !!!! Now its too late in the day for same day delivery from another company and the day and moment was important to be done on this day! Went in on the 14th of April to get something special for my anniversary. I wanted something special to take to my wife on this special occasion. I normally go by Kroger and get flowers arraignments there. They are fast quick and meant to grab and go when you are in hurry. But this day it was special, I had something in mind that would pop out just for the occasion. I knew that I would have to go to a floral shop to get this done. I decided to give The Black Orchid a try. When I walked in the very first thing I saw was the complete disorder in the shop. I did not know if I was in a flower shop or just another retail shop you would find on Texas Avenue. Among the weird flow arrangement of the shop , I tried to see if they had any red roses arraignments premade for special occasion but seem to not see any. The only arraignments had customer names on them. I tried to look around to see if they had pictures of something or maybe a catalog I could look thru and pick out something. But I guess a catalog was nowhere in site or was probably sitting on the counter. I walked towards the counter area. There was one customer at the counter and two of the ladies behind the customer were trying to help her. They did acknowledge me when I came by just a simple glance but after that It seem like I literally disappeared among the clutter mess surrounding me. I stood there looking around waiting to be helped. Believe me I always try to walk in a shop opened minded. I know that not all the times the experiences are going to be great or the same for everyone due to the different circumstances that happens. But on this particular day I stood there waiting for like at least 10 minutes. I know this cause I was looking at my watch the whole time. It seem like the two ladies were so occupied and overwhelmed in helping this one customer that they forgot I was standing there. After waiting there for more then 10 minutes I decided to leave the shop. I needed to get the flowers I wanted for this special occasion so I left disappointed with the whole experience. What so funny in all of this was I ended up going to Kroger to see just what they had. To my surprise, I ended up getting a very beautiful 24 red rose arraignment. Not only this , it was the Kroger floral attendant that greeted me when I was walking to the floral section of the store. I was then amazed she knew how to help me and walked me towards where my arraignment was waiting for me. She took it and fixed it up and made it perfect. Over all I was amazed. I got what I wanted out of Kroger. I was really looking forward having that same experience at the Black Orchid but sadly enough it did not happen. read more
