For $5 a person parking/admittance, we joined some others at their campsite for the day. The sites were well-maintained, the rocky beach was clean, and it was a joy to spend the day on the cool river. We didn't need floats, but TRL had them available for rent, had we wanted them. Afterward, we visited the shower houses (which were pretty clean), cooked dinner on our grill, and watched the kids play on the playground. Before returning our day passes, we looked around the general store at the t-shirt, river toys, rafts, and more, followed by two scoops of hard ice cream in waffle cones. I would definitely come back, and I wouldn't recommend this campground to anyone looking to enjoy the river. Tech notes: I had Verizon 4G at the general store and at the campsite, but I was roaming at the river. There are two Pokestops near the general store.

Their equipment is always in excellent condition and their service is great. This trip was exceptional because they had just had a terrible storm over night and the owners had been up all night. The resort water was out, their internet was out. They were still awesome. Even though the river was up and a little fast, we had a great day!

We enjoy bringing our chairs and sitting in the water while the kids search for crawfish. They also have a pool to cool off in. We grab delicious coffees from their on-site specialty shop and you can get regular coffee or decadent dessert-like coffees. The park is quiet in the late evening hours and is truly a great place to take your family!

I did not get any sort of confirmation email, only a text message photo of a receipt for the $103.50 deposit. A fellow camper in my group called me a week ago and said our reservation had been changed because the campground had double booked us. I called and left a message saying I'd like to understand and get this straightened out. When they called back the guy yelled at me and told me they still have us but in a different spot. When I asked about moving our deposit to the next year's ride or possibly refunding our deposit he refused to work with me. Throughout the call he was rude and unprofessional. Rather than focusing on my reservation and working towards a solution he kept talking about another camper's reservation changes. Needless to say after this negative experience I will not be camping at this place.

This place is soo much fun!…read more Perfect for a weekend trip, or even a day trip, from St. Louis. It's a privately owned quarry with steep cliffs around all edges, so you can swim and float around, climb up and cliff-jump, and even zip-line across! It's wicked, because you can do whatever you feel comfortable doing, even if that's just floating around in the big natural pool. The water is nice and deep, so it's ultra refreshing - perfect for steamy hot St. Louis summers. You can literally jump off of any point around the quarry, except by the main access point, where there are stairs and raft/tube rentals. You pay a small fee - maybe $10, for admission, and they have camping as well. If you like float trips, this is a badass alternative. - We brought our diving flippers, which made it a lot easier to maneuver our giant raft around the quarry and to do some swimming under the rock walls. :)

I'm not sure…read morehow large of a park it is, as our family had reserved one of the first pavilions in the park, but there was a store near the front of the park so I imagine it's a pretty large one. Sam. A Baker seems to be a popular place. There were quite a few people camping in tents and RVs there a couple of weekends ago. I'm not the camping type and I only stayed during the day, so I can't say anything for the camping amenities. -1 star for the facilities. They had no running water inside. There was a place outside of the restrooms for washing one's hands and feet. However, there was no soap and no hot water. I feel that was rather unsanitary. I waded out in a river for the first time in my life. That was fun! I'd like to go again sometime.
