This is my home location and I'm a big fan of their cold brew as well as energy drink beverages. I hate the new rewards system and app they went to though. It's messy, gives you less than the old one did, and requires yet another app despite them still asking for my phone number. It has limited how often I go since Starbucks has a better rewards program and their coffee doesn't average out to be 9 bucks for an extra large like it does here. The coffee is good, but I'm not sure what they were thinking with the rewards system change. read more

Ordered an Oreo chiller, clearly has no Oreo in it which is fine, mistakes happen.. decide to take it in to swap and the girl with the eye makeup looks at me like I'm an idiot setting she used the last of the Oreos on it and it is correct- coworker looking at her like "this is wrong" but she stays firm. It's whatever , I leave with the wrong drink but it would have been a very easy fix: p.s. - if it is true that the crumbs or the last bit of Oreo was in this shake, that is lazy work not going to grab more to use an adequate amount of an ingredient in a product that costs $8. read more

I typically do not review chain shops but I've been coming to this Black Rock for the last couple years with coworkers and every time we use their drive through our experience has been exceptional. The coffee in my opinion is nothing super exceptional, but it's never been bad. What makes or breaks places like this for me is always the service and accuracy of the order. The individuals I've encountered here are always friendly and the folks making the drinks always create the drinks accurately. The service is prompt, accurate, and done with a smile. Couple that with consistent drinks and I have a lot of confidence if you are coming here with proper expectations you will not be disappointed. read more

This is my first time at this location , and first time at a Black Rock that has indoor service. It was great. Same fast and friendly service as the drive through . The staff here is really good , they had so much going on, but got it done . Bathroom (real reason I went in) was sparkling clean . I felt bad for the people at the Starbucks across the street. I love this location. I stop by here at least 3 times a week - the staff is always friendly, fast, and consistent. My wife and I usually order an oat milk cappuccino dry w/ an add shot, and an oat milk mocha w/ an add shot. Great coffee and great service! Stopped in here as an option that wasn't Starbucks (which is across the street). This was our first time trying it and we liked the look of the shop from the outside. Inside has a cool vibe and friendly people. I ordered black coffee (I know I'm boring) and my wife had the black and white mocha. Both drinks were great and came out fast. Okay, this was my first time ever at BR Coffee. It's been on my list for a while and after a visit to Kaiser, I treated myself (before heading back to work, so I know you understand). I went through the drive thru and when I told the gal I had never been here before, she was so helpful! She jumped into letting me know what some of the more popular options are as well as some off menu coffee variations that people really love. I chose the snickers coffee. I don't even remember all of what she said was in it, but it was so good! I also added on a breakfast burrito which was massive - I was *not* expecting that. I ended up splitting it with a coworker. It was a little too spicy for my plain jane pallet (i like spice, but spice doesn't like me). I still enjoyed it even if it wasn't my favorite flavorings (it wasn't the burrito's fault, it was mine). I don't know if all the BR locations are this wonderful, but I'll definitely have to visit this one again next time I'm in the area! read more

I'd never tried this place so my cousin decided we'd try it. Drive through service is pretty quick, our orders were correct, and friendly folks. I ordered a warm caramel coffee concoction (sorry I can't remember the name). What I can remember is that it was too hot to drink and it was so sweet I thought it would be a great challenge to any one's A1C rating. I'm sorry to give this such a low rating but I couldn't drink my drink, throwing it in the sink. If I return, I'll ask for a not so sugary drink. read more

We love going to this Black Rock location--great drinks and food, WONDERFUL baristas, close to home--but when the weather is hot, the temperature inside the store is UNBEARABLE. They apparently have no air conditioning, and no ceiling fans, no shady seating outside, only a garage door that can be opened to let the hot air in. We feel so sorry for the baristas who have to work in there! Driving through to pick up coffee is fine, but sometimes you want to sit for a while with your computer in a place where "everybody knows your name." This Black Rock is just like that, but we'll have to wait for fall till we can go back. read more

What kind of coffee shop can't serve a simple cup of coffee? Apparently I've found it. Went in at 2pm on a weekday. Told the lady it was my first visit and asked for a dark roast coffee. That got me a confused look and "I'll go check." She comes back and says "We have it but we're out." Ooookkkkkk. I then asked for whatever drip coffee they were offering. "Oh, we don't have any of that right now." Unfricking-believable! So I settled for an Americano with one sugar. She must have thought that I meant a POUND of sugar because it was undrinkable. Or maybe she misheard me because the music was blasting at an ear splitting volume. Maybe I got a bad location with a bad employee on a bad day, but I won't be hurrying back. read more

This is my all time favorite blackrock Best people ever and its just a great spot to get work done or chill. Don't think I've ever gotten a wrong drink, if anything I've gotten some good suggestions and new favorites actually. Great atmosphere and convenient location right off 205. One of the baristas cussed me out for no reason , I pulled up to the window and tried ordering and she yelled at me saying it's closed . They close at 7 it was 7:03 .. My office and I have ordered from this location for years and within the last few months the quality has gone from good to absolutely awful!!!! The order ALWAYS has at least one thing wrong with it and we have to go back to get it fixed, but the second time around it somehow gets worse. The coffee tastes burnt and the espresso shots taste stale. I would recommend going to any other location than this. I hope they can change their ways and improve because they are losing out and we are now having to go further out of our way to a different Black Rock. Don't waste your money time. read more

I would select 0 if it was an option! This location has twice before given me a wrong coffee drink but I figured it happens. But this time, I asked for sweet cream foam on my hot latte and she said she can't do that because it's only for iced drinks. I said, but you guys have done that before. She said she can't because it will melt! I said it hadn't before. Then she said she can give me a flavor but not sweet cream foam! I pulled up to the window and asked her nicely again and told her I would pay for it. She said it's against company policy!! And that she had no way to charge me for it!!! That is ridiculous!!!! I then said just forget my order and one of the 4 teenagers looking at me said loudly..."OK" with a smirk on her face! I can't believe they treat customers like this!!!! I drove across the street to Starbucks and they prepared a latte for me with sweet cream foam and it's delicious!!!
