It was my first time going to The Human Bean in Washington. They had friendly staffs and a lot of selections to choose from. I like that Human Bean gave their customers a coffee bean with chocolate, that was cool. I ordered the snowy mocha from the drive thru. There was about 5 cars in front of me when I arrived but it seemed to be moving fast. Anyways, I would definitely go to the Human Being again when I am in Washington. read more

I'm not a coffee drinker but my father was visiting for a week and I brought him here several times during his stay in Washington. The service staff was excellent. The girls made us feel welcome and appreciated. The wait for our order was minimal. My Dad said the coffee was excellent. I went here with my niece who was visiting from out of state, she was searching for a place that sugar free peanut butter flavor, and she found it here. I ordered a lumberjack for my husband, who is diabetic and loves to have a coffee with me now and then. He loved this coffee and so did my niece. I ordered what I always get, and it was absolutely delicious. The girls, and the young gentleman who was working there were extremely polite and pleasant and great with making coffee. Love this coffee stop! I have been here several times now in the last 6 months and tried several different drinks. As a snobber who has to have every drink modified 3 different ways, I appreciate they have many alternative milks to choose from (macadamia nut is my fave!) and good combo suggestions. The baristas are ALWAYS warm, friendly, and never blink an eye at my demands. Service is quick and sometimes they spoil me with an extra punch on my card* Appreciate the different fundraisers they jump on board with as well. This was my first coffee stop since moving into town and it was great! Went back on my second day. Both times the drinks were delicious and made correctly. It was impressive to me that both baristas memorized my orders (for multiple drinks) without writing it down and still got them correctly. Where I came from in California, you'd be hard-pressed to find a barista at a drive-thru who could get your order correctly while typing it in one drink at a time, much less multiple drinks without taking notes. And all while being friendly and personable! I love the little chocolate coffee bean candies you get with your drinks also :) read more

Typically I love this place. But the last couple times I've gone there, I ask for the regular rockstar instead of the recovery when they make my drinks. It always ends up coming out with the recovery rockstar and I don't know till I drive away. Yes I'm not the typical, take a sip the second I get my drink, driver. ‍‍‍ I do love their customer service, even when they're busy. That's the reason I give 4 stars. Well, that and when I do get my drinks right, they're good. I've had their coffee drinks. My family and friends love them. I'm just not a fan of coffee. Haha. Anyways. I've been a regular at this location for over 4 years and never had any issues, I've always loved the coffee and the quick friendly service but my last few experiences really made me not want to come by this location anymore. I understand they have new staff and they're still getting into the rhythm of things but that should not be an excuse for bad customer service. The last few times they've charged me different amounts for the same drink that I always get and had an attitude when I asked about it. I decided to let it go with the thought that they're just having a bad day but today's experience is what brought me in to write this review. I had 2 cars in front of me and only 1 car on the other side of the drive thru and I literally waited 20minutes before I was able to move up one car then finally someone came out and took my order. I for sure thought either a machine broke down or they were understaffed...once I rolled up to the window I still waited a while for someone to come charge me out, there was no greeting and especially no apology for the wait, I asked the girl if they're understaffed today and she said "no?" and just walked away. It's very disappointing how much this location has changed especially because it was convenient since it is close to my home but these last few experiences definitely have discouraged me from coming as often as I used to and I'd rather go out of my way to stop by other coffee shops. read more

Our one and ONLY coffee stop!!! This Human Bean has the friendliest staff, great service and delicious coffee drinks you can find in the Couv!! Not to mention my kids ask to go there almost daily for their super yummy fruit smoothies!! My little loves their strawberry smoothie and my eldest asked them to make him a special Banana/Mango smoothie once and has been hooked ever since!! Besides just coffee, they have the best flavor infused energy drinks and muffin tops! A Lemon Poppy Muffin Top people!!! It's delish and I get at least two every time I go there!! I've lived in Vancouver my entire life and have never been to this place despite how many people have told me about it. Yesterday I was on that side of town to run an errand and finally caved and let me say I'm so glad I did! I got the caramel hazelnut mocha with soy milk. I am NEVER a fan of hazelnut flavoring but this coffee was to die for! I will definitely be back. I was so excited when they first opened because I love trying new coffee shops that aren't like Starbucks or other big franchises. And I was not disappointed one bit! Their coffee is perfect! It's very light and smooth and tasty. It's perfect for me because I'm not a huge coffee loving flavor person. But the coffee is the only great thing about this place. Every time, the customer service has been horrible for me. And from reading other reviews, I'm glad to see its not just me who thought so. I think whoever does the hiring should let someone else take over. The girls are never friendly and all have a stuck up attitude. They don't know how to greet anyone or have conversations with anyone but who their working with. I just don't want to feel like a burden ordering coffee It takes two things to make me want to return somewhere. Good customer service, and good product. I can't think of anything that would make me take off any stars. I swear by human bean, I come here every morning before school with my friend and we are regulars and typically get rockstars. I also love their granitas and they're typically always friendly, and if they don't talk as much I don't mind because they get down to business, and that's what it's all about (to me at least). The employees who work here are extremely rude and greet me with a "what do you want." instead of nice and simple "what would you like to drink today?" or "how are you doing today?" Pretty affordable, the chai's are great. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because every time I go there, I get terrible customer service. They just give you attitude, they don't really acknowledge you other than to take your order, and they just stand there and talk to each other about their personal issues. I ordered a hot white chocolate mocha. It was luke warm, I could've guzzled it because it was literally barely warm. What a joke, very disappointing. Been to the human bean in Medford Oregon and loved it. But this one just isn't the same. The baristas didn't know what a human bean supreme was, so she decided to laugh at me. As some people know human bean has a house special menu and human bean supreme is on it. Maybe I will go back one day and try this location again but for now I will stick with Dutch bros or the black rock. read more

This score would be a 4 if I hadn't had an iffy first visit. We went here the first couple weeks they were open and while the service was good and speedy, the coffee was yucky and my son's mango smoothy was yuckier. My second visit was because I received a gift card, so free coffee is always good. My son's Italian Soda was delish and my husband and I got the 20oz Snowy Mocha. The Snowy Mocha is where it's at but the 20oz is a a quad shot so within two hours I was literally shaking. I will go back, we live a block away. Might take a couple more positive experiences to make me a beleiver. read more
