It's pretty darn rare that you can find a 25 cent pastry anywhere anymore...but I heard that the…read moreCoffee Shop in Price sells day-old pastries for a quarter, and I had to see for myself. Yup! True to lore, there is a basket of discounted goodies on the counter. They pair nicely with a fresh cuppa, which is just what I did. The Chai Latte was delicious and the atmosphere is quiet and inviting-just what you want in a small town coffee shop.

Very welcoming coffee shop right on Main Street in the historic area of Price. Their hot coffee…read moremenu includes Lattes, espresso, cappuccino and more. They also have cold coffee options. We were greeted right away by a young woman manning the counter. She was working alone and there were a couple of other customers in front of us. She let us know she would help after she took care of the other two orders. During our visit pastries available included a variety of scones, banana bread and sticky buns. They also make breakfast sandwiches. As much as I would love one of thos big blueberry scones my pants say 'no!' so I settled for an americano instead. I wad asked if I wanted half & half, milk, or a milk alternative with my coffee, so you have options here. The coffee is smooth and a good temperature to drink right away. The front of the shop is bright with several cafe tables. A small display of cute coffee mugs, candles, ear rings and thermos cups for sale is also here. The order counter is half way back so if there is a line there is plenty of room to wait inside. Past the counter is a customer restroom. One for all, it is very cleab. In the back of the building is a very cozy livingroom area with a leather couch, rocking chair and two, two-seater, leather upholstered booths. It's a very 'homey' space. Definitely glad we stopped in Price for a break from a long drive. The historic Main St downtown is preserved western Americana. This coffee shop is definitely worth a visit!

Passing through on a slow Sunday morning, I stopped in for breakfast. The sign outside says…read more"Monday-Saturday" but they are open on Sundays too-at least they were when I came by. Huzzah! I found the ambience a little odd-no music and just an eerie feel to it. Maybe that's because I was sitting next to the kitchen and only heard the soft buzzing of a machine. Some old country music could have livened the place up a bit. There was a Christmas tree decorated in patriotic colors with a cowboy hat on top. The food was....ok. Not a ton of flavor. Service was friendly enough, but not overly welcoming. Maybe if you're a regular from the small town, you have a different experience. But just passing through, it was just ok.

If you are a Utah who likes sugar you might honestly enjoy your experience. But we are from out of town, and don't have that Utahn sweet tooth, so we were shocked by how sweet the spiced iced chai latte (2/5 stars) was. I honestly could only taste the sugar, although I could see the texture of the spiced chai. We also got a caramel iced coffee (3/5 stars) which was palatable to us, but twice the price and not as good as the coffee at Mavericks. But the staff were friendly and I think they're doing a good job with their target clientele, so I'll give them 3/5 stars overall. We would recommend this coffee shop if you're looking to sit and relax and enjoy the ambience, or if you have a sweet tooth. If you're in a rush, try the self-serve coffee at Mavericks across the street.

Wild Sage Coffee House - $9.00 for a few pieces of pickles? it's good, but not worth for that price
