Visit "Do It Right" and hear Bill say "I'll take care of it," the frustration and fear starts to leave immediately.

I was told I needed to replace the water pump, thermostat, and timing belt. Paid $937. Car started overheating again. Returned it to them saying that didn't work. They looked again and told me it was my head gasket. I asked about trying block seal before I paid that much to have that work done. Block seal did not work. Car was still overheating. So I went ahead and made the appt to do the head gasket. Was told it would take 3-4 days; they had it for 9 (2 they were closed for). I was called during this time and informed that the head gasket work was finished.....but that it had overheated still and that they figured out it was the radiator. I am completely baffled that my radiator was never looked at in the first place. An easy $200 fix.....now I've paid $2,571 for things that probably wouldn't have needed to be replaced if the actual issue had been fixed. Additionally, upon picking up my vehicle I was told they also replaced the water pump and timing belt AGAIN, and was going to charge me for that AGAIN. I was told the water pump was leaking and that the timing belt just needed to be replaced in case of any damage coolant leakage could have caused. I am an extremely unhappy customer because I feel as though 1) I was taken advantage of by being told different things needed to be replaced when I don't know anything about vehicle work so I took their word for it, and/or 2) that whomever was diagnosing my car had no idea what they were doing if they just bypassed looking at my radiator as a cause of the overheating (now that I've looked online that's one of the few things that can cause overheating, so for that to be carelessly overlooked is deceiving to me). Lastly, my water pump replacement in Sept I was charged $141 and the timing belt was $83. Today on my bill the 2nd water pump attempted charge was $133 and the timing belt $70. Which means I was overcharged for the work done way back in Sept anyways. I do not recommend going here.

Unsafe brake work, brake failure, dismissive customer service -- avoid this shop!…read more I brought my 2015 Nissan Titan to Center Tire in Post Falls, ID in February 2024 for front brake hose and pad replacement. I paid around $650. In June 2025, I experienced a complete brake failure. I discovered that the front brake hose had ruptured due to rubbing against the tire during normal steering. This is a clear sign of improper routing or the wrong hose length. It was not a one-off because both front hoses were contacting the tires, and over time that caused one to rupture. The tires are proper fit for my truck as well. I had to pay $201 out of pocket to tow the truck back to Center Tire, using the tow company Steve recommended. Driving the vehicle to the shop was unsafe because there were no brakes. They refused to reimburse me for the (very necessary due to their faulty work) tow. Steve originally tried to deny all responsibility with hypotheticals about snow, but nothing was bent and the damage was occurring on driver and passenger sides. They are the ONLY ones who touched those hoses, but they used aftermarket parts that were not the proper fit, or the hoses were installed incorrectly. After trying to deny responsibility with several hypothetical excuses, Steve was unable to provide a reason for the failure. They replaced the hoses at no charge, which quietly confirmed the original work was at fault, but: - Refused to reimburse the tow - Claimed (without proof that I asked for) that this type of failure is "common." My own research finds that it's not common at all. - Gave conflicting explanations (first blaming "snow" for possibly bending parts, then admitting nothing was bent) - Dismissed the seriousness of the brake failure and treated me rudely when I calmly asked for accountability. His words were "I guess we'll both have to eat sh** on this one," and when I picked up the truck and asked about the tow reimbursement he was very rude and just said "nope, we're done!" This wasn't normal wear and tear. Brake hoses should never make contact with tires and should last many years. It was their original work that caused a safety-critical failure, and they refused to make it right. I've filed formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau and Idaho Consumer Protection Division. I urge others not to risk your vehicle or your family's safety by trusting this shop with brake or critical systems.

I called Liberty Lake Auto to get a quote and it was $425.00, almost 1/3 cheaper! when Terry inspected the brakes, he called and asked why I thought I needed a brake job and I told him what Ford wrote up. he informed me that i have over 50% left on the brake pads and do not need to change them for at least 25,000 more miles. I picked up my truck and he didn't charge for his services. I appreciate his honesty in not doing work that wasn't needed. He's won my trust and will be bringing my vehicle to him for all future work!

I had never been to Perfection Tire and Automotive before, but when reading the rather abysmal reviews for the Post Falls store of a huge chain I had intended to go to, and then the reviews for this shop, I changed course and tried Perfection. I was not disappointed! They got me in fast, even though most of their service bays had other vehicles in them, and got me taken care of while I waited. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. The service technicians were great, the counter staff were honest and helpful, the waiting room was comfortable and extremely clean, and I was on my way much more quickly than I thought. No one tried to upsell me, which I appreciated. I had no idea that Perfection is a full service auto shop, either. I thought they were mostly a tire store. These guys are going to get more of my business in the future, and I hope my future visits are as fantastic as my first one was. I was very grateful and impressed!

Nevada and Bernie have been nothing but excellent. These guys tell it like it is, they are genuine, friendly, honest and offer excellent pricing....no bull here.... Nevada even tells me on occasion how to fix something on my own to save me some money! These guys have repaired the 4 wheel drive switch, dually pinion seal, AC and steering box on our recently sold 1999 F-350, to God knows what was happening to my cranky 2005 Nissan Frontier every 3 months through to the brakes, alternator and O2 sensor in our Honda Pilot. The 25+ years of experience are very obvious when you meet him. He never wastes our time and gets right to the point telling us what is wrong (without adding 10 other things that "need fixing while we are in the shop"). We have saved thousands over the quotes of other shops (even the local ones) because he takes care of what needs done, and only what needs done. The work is don't right - the first time - we have never had to come back for anything he has repaired. If you are local - you are likely aware of the decline of Body by Scotty as a reliable shop (a month to even get in at rates that are RIDICULOUS - not to mention the lack of professionalism from the staff - read the reviews) and Scott's new shop isn't much of an improvement (still with long wait times and high prices).
