I bought my mini cooper from this business and the experience was great! I subsequently took my car into Bill every time and thought he was honest and had integrity. As single woman, I had other mechanics present as untrustworthy so it was wonderful find an honest dealership. NOPE! My mini cooper is now almost destroyed because of their shoddy work and I'm out thousands of dollars and I've had the run around. Below is part of the complaint I've made to both the BBB and Attorney Generals Office. We are waiting on a response from the business to determine if small claims court is next to recoup our losses. He installed after market parts in my car repeatedly with repairs lasting barely two years. THERE IS A PATTERN HERE OF CHEAP PARTS, NO ACCOUNTABILITY, MYSTERY CHARGES AND ZERO TRANSPARENCY. HE WILL PUT IN CHEAP AFTER MARKET PARTS THAT WILL CRAP OUT IN ABOUT TWO YEARS AND DESTROY YOUR ENGINE. BELOW IS PART OF THE LEGAL FILINGS WITH BBB AND ATTORNEY GENERAL OFFICE : I am writing to formally demand immediate resolution regarding the defective turbo installation and associated damages to my vehicle, which directly stem from your shop's substandard workmanship and repeated use of faulty parts. This is not the first time I have been left to bear the financial and emotional burden of your shop's negligence, and I will not tolerate this pattern any longer. The Facts Defective Turbo Installation and Catastrophic Damage: The turbo installed in my vehicle has suffered a catastrophic failure in just over two years, despite the fact that I rarely drive my car. The failure has caused 3 liters of oil to pour into the catalytic converter and seep into the tubing, leaving my vehicle in a disastrous state and requiring extensive corrective work. History of Shoddy Workmanship and Defective Parts: You replaced the valve cover, but that repair barely lasted two years before the part failed. Despite the warranty, I was forced to cover out-of-pocket expenses that should have been fully covered. Now, the turbo you selected and installed--a critical component--has proven equally unreliable, further demonstrating a troubling trend of subpar repairs. Lack of Transparency: Despite my repeated requests, you have failed to provide a receipt or clear documentation for the turbo's cost. The only receipt you've shown is for $298 for mounting pieces, leaving $702 unaccounted for in the $1,000 charged. Your refusal to provide basic documentation raises serious questions about transparency and accountability. Negligence in Professional Standards: Your shop's continued reliance on parts that do not meet quality standards, coupled with inadequate accountability for failures, has cost me time, money, and trust. You've stated in the past that you operate with integrity and "family values." Yet, this is the second time I've had to deal with defective parts from your shop, and the financial and emotional toll is staggering. You've acknowledged the turbo failure may be covered under warranty, but even so, this situation highlights the systemic issues with your choice of parts and service quality.

The amount of times they put our family in true dangerous situations is ridiculous. And them pushing these crappy warranties on you is bogus. They even submit false claims to the warranty company, get their replacement parts from junk yards, and don't even complete work that they then bill you for. The only reason we continued to bring our car for maintenance with them was because we wanted it covered under the warranty. OH! And they claimed as your car depreciates in value, so does your warranty coverage - COMPLETE bogus and false information. That is NOT how warranties work. Within the last year, Car Emporium "completed" maintenance on our car to "fix" it, billed the warranty company and us as well for false work. I kid you not, just 2 months after they "completed" their work, it died on the side of the road on two separate occasions. Both times, we took it back to our trusted mechanic who did the same work all over again that we had already thought was done by Car Emporium, so even more money out the door. Thankfully, we had purchased a warranty plan ($7500) that should cover most repairs. Good thing we did. The vehicle needed a new transmission. They did cover the deductible for the repair, due to sending the car to a dealer outside of their warranty program. They gave me a loaner also. Based upon all the work we have had to do since the transmission, such as the side rear mirrors weren't working properly, the heater/air conditioner blower needed to be replaced and if I had not purchased the warranty, this vehicle would have cost us about $9000.00. For a used vehicle almost 14 years old. Therefore, I could not return to this dealer to purchase another used vehicle.

Valley Auto also lost the original title to My 2022 Luxury Hybrid Sports Car when appraising it, and so now I have to pay to order a new one at the driver's licensing branch. I ended up finding another 2006 Honda Element EX-P near Seattle with literally 1/2 the miles, and after Valley Auto released My Deposit, they jacked the price of this *ALREADY* jacked up car, jacked it up even higher to $8500 - Unbelieveable - Highway Theft / Robbery! I literally purchased a vehicle near Seattle with HALF the mileage for $9993! Valley Auto's 2006 Element has 256,000 miles............ and Valley Auto is charging customer's an outrageous $8500?! (Note: This does NOT even include Dealership Fees, Titling, Registration, and Washington's 9% tax rate!) -- NO THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! While helping a 60yr old lady friend of my girlfriend who doesn't know much about engines we looked…read moreat a couple of trucks here. She needs a reliable tow vehicle for her horse trailers. They tried to sell her a blown out 2012 Ford F350 6.7 diesel that had a destroyed turbo. Claimed it had 120k miles. Scratches and rust all over. Said it's a local Spokane truck. Research on the VIN showed it was owned by a large Montana cattle ranch and sold through a Dealer Auto Auction, this is how reputable dealers sell their junk trade ins they can't sell on their lot and still keep a good reputation. They do this to keep large repeat customers coming back by accepting their worn out trade in. The fenders had the paint blasted off from all the gravel and rock driving. It was making 11psi of boost max (instead of 32+) and blowing blue smoke. The shocks, steering and suspension are destroyed, pulls all over the freeway. The front springs were so worn out it was sitting 1/4" above the axle bump stops (mechanics will understand this). This thing was hammered if it truly has 120k. They tried to convince us this all was normal and it's a "really great truck". They really fed her a line of BS. Also, the whole front end grill, radiator, crossmember had been replaced and had spray painted fenders. The bottom of the engine was loaded with grease and leaking on the ground. At a traffic light the smoke engulfed the whole intersection at one point. The truck has half the power it should. Turbos for these are in the $7700 range. Check engine light popped on during the drive. It also had a trailer brake module error so the trailer brakes aren't even working on this tow vehicle. I'm so glad I went with her so this scammership couldn't take advantage of our retiring friend. Shame on them. If someone wants to invest $10-15k in this truck it could be a good ride. Not a good deal for $22,000 sale price before any fees or taxes.

I was traveling from over 350 miles away to purchase a used vehicle "sight unseen" so it would have been a real bummer had they miss-represented the vehicle over the phone. In the past I have always been wary of dealerships and car lots when looking for a used vehicle, so this was a very pleasant surprise. Ken and Mario were great and treated me very well and gave me a very fair price for a used truck in truly great condition. They run a tight ship at Corwin Ford, and I would not hesitate buying another vehicle there in the future.

Example, after a week, I called him to check on my truck and he said, "OH, it was ready last week." You'd think Corwin Ford would want their $2k in a timely manner, but Daniel failed to call day after day while it collected dust in the parking lot. Daniel does not respond to text messages. Daniel, quite frankly, was a whiny little child at pickup time from the truck nursery. I'm the customer, not the customer service advisor. I'm not your mommy who's going to tell you all your mistakes are okay and you're a good boy. The "follow up" call from Daniel today was just more of the same whining, asking me to tell him all his deficiencies again bc he forgot how bad his service is. Daniel, I already gave you my feedback in person - you didn't need to call and ask me what you did wrong again today. I had zero intention of posting feedback publicly, but you need somewhere you can look back and remember what went wrong and not ask me a third time.
