I needed a battery for my truck, and I needed it fast. There was a 5 day wait to get into my dealership, and I didn't have 5 days. I had never been to Perfection Tire and Automotive before, but when reading the rather abysmal reviews for the Post Falls store of a huge chain I had intended to go to, and then the reviews for this shop, I changed course and tried Perfection. I was not disappointed! They got me in fast, even though most of their service bays had other vehicles in them, and got me taken care of while I waited. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. The service technicians were great, the counter staff were honest and helpful, the waiting room was comfortable and extremely clean, and I was on my way much more quickly than I thought. No one tried to upsell me, which I appreciated. I had no idea that Perfection is a full service auto shop, either. I thought they were mostly a tire store. These guys are going to get more of my business in the future, and I hope my future visits are as fantastic as my first one was. I was very grateful and impressed! read more

Great Service Isaac did a super job handling our quote request for new tires for our Grandson's truck, then taking care of getting the tires to the shop and finally the Service Team stepped up to install them, mission accomplished, GREAT TEAM EFFORT! Finding out the next day that the truck badly needed a front end alignment, Isaac and Rick got it done the following day! We are extremely happy with price, quality and installation of the tires and alignment but of equal importance was the high level of customer service and genuine care the Team at Perfection Tire provided! Multiple repairs with my truck, $6k plus later on different issues, still having issues with it. When I called in today to ask when I could get it back in along with expressing concern: "we can get you in a week". When I asked if there was anything sooner, "nope". When I stated I needed it fixed sooner and I've spent $6k on this already and that I would have to go elsewhere..."ok" hung up. Really? This is service? Their quality of customer service matches their quality of product, it's poor. I could list several things, but it all comes down to a having a terribly managed shop. I just spent a few weeks in north Idaho after buying a couple vehicles and needing to ensure they were road-worthy before driving them to southeastern Texas. Tommy and the crew were booked pretty solid, like everywhere else these days, but they were able to work my vehicles into the rotation. Their costs were lower than expected and they didn't try to talk me into anything I didn't need. In fact, when I asked for a coolant flush Tony asked some questions to ensure it was needed before I waste my money. At the same time, my parents needed some suspension work on their car, which is really hard to find parts for. I went in the following day to drop off one of my cars and while dealing with one of the other guys I heard Tony working the phones still trying to find the discontinued parts. Eventually he called and was able to find the parts and hit the car right in to get it fixed. I've never had anybody work for days trying to locate hard to find parts like that. I feel totally comfortable having my elderly mother going to this Perfection Tire, knowing that they will get the repairs needed without the upcharges that other shops try to charge. read more

I went here for an oil change. I like the fact that they did a comprehensive inspection of my truck along with my oil change. The Price was a little higher than what I would pay for the same services in Southern California which was surprising. But overall I felt they were an honest and reliable business and that's worth paying for in my book! read more

Started by calling competitors and they were not very responsive to my specific questions. Phoned Perfection Tire and they were able to answer my questions in re: to tire rating at high speeds and tire load rating for our trailer. They had the tires in stock, able to get me in the same day and a very short wait for them to put the tires on. Overall great experience and would recommend 100%. read more

I just had my oil change today. I was told after that I needed my brakes flushed. I told him I just had them done. He said, "Oh, I've seen where the test says its failed when it just was done. The testers can be wrong". Seriously? The brake fluid isn't even dark yet. Think twice cheating, mechanics that a single mom can't think for herself. I believe in karma. I don't care if its normal to be swindlers at an auto shop. You just as well be a thief and try to steal my wallet. I will tell everyone to stay clear of your second rate oil shop. I was in need of tires and an alignment for my truck so I called Perfection and spoke with Steve. He was very knowledgeable and helpful in selecting the best tires for my needs and scheduling the service appointment when the tires arrived. About one week later my wife's car's tires (which were purchased elsewhere) started losing pressure and we brought it in. One tire had a screw in it and needed a patch and the other required a new valve stem. Steve and the shop at perfection made the repairs free of charge. Excellent friendly and knowledgeable service. We will be taking our vehicles here going forward and referring others as well! read more

I will give them the benefit of the doubt here and say that I might have gotten an inexperienced technician to put my snow tires on. However, I was told one of my studded tires needs to be replaced due to a torn bead, which would cost me (around) 130 dollars. I took my car somewhere else to get a second opinion on the tire before spending that much money. It's a good thing I did, there was nothing wrong with the tire, it was only cosmetic and doesn't need to be replaced. On top of that, when I asked them which tire was the problem tire they told me right rear, the new place I took it too says the tire was in the left front spot. Wow, very disappointed. Buyer beware, especially single women, seems like another tire place trying to take advantage. read more

I just moved to the Post Falls area and needed my air conditioner recharged. I only dealt with the guy at the front desk, but he seemed friendly enough at first. They charged me just over $150 to recharge my A/C system and replace the schradder valve, which they claimed was the fault of the A/C leak. Okay, fine. My A/C worked great... for two whole days. In addition to blowing hot air, my air conditioner was now making a strange noise, as if a part was bouncing around somewhere inside (the front desk guy could care less). After looking at the car again, they came back and quoted over $815 to replace my A/C. To give you some perspective on what an absolute rip off that price is, consider that they wanted to charge me $530 for an A/C kit which I ended up buying online for $190. Frankly, I could have overlooked their mistake and my wasted time had they acknowledged their mistake, credited my wasted $150 to the future repairs, and quoted me a reasonable price to replace the A/C. Instead, they expected this dummy to pay damn near $1000 out the door. It's a shame that businesses operate in this manner or assume that women are too stupid to understand the cost of repairs. It is, however, typical in this line of work. I will keep searching until I find a decent mechanic (they do exist, but they are certainly the exception). I read all of the hidden reviews here, the ones yelp chooses not to publish for their own odd reasons, but it is clear that I am not alone in my opinion of this shop. Perfection, my butt! We recently brought our car in for winter tire change and tire preasure sensor replacement. We told them we would pick up car after hours and to leave keys in car. After picking up car, we noticed that sensor was never replaced. I called next day and spoke with the manager Rick. He told me to just bring the car back in and that it was not a big deal. I told him it was a inconvenience for us. I asked why they didn't call or communicate better. Rick was very condescending, rude, and not apologetic for their mistake. Last month I went to another auto repair shop for brake work but I thought their quote was too high so I thought I would check around. Perfection Tire in Post Falls quote was more than $200 less than the other quote, and talk about customer service, wow. In addition to brake work I needed my headlights aimed. I have an older vehicle and aiming the headlights wasn't easy. They tried to save me money by checking around at the local auto wrecking yards to get new used headlights. There were none. They still make the headlights for my car brand new but they are $190 a piece. So using their auto repair knowhow they were able to aim the headlights and also repair them at the same time. I felt like they took it personal to fix my car right and to save me money instead of getting all that they could out of me. I will definitely be coming back for my auto repair needs. read more

These guys are honest, which is hard to find sometimes. I thought I needed new rear brakes. Not only did they tell me I still had 50% left, but did not charge me for the inspection nor for a tire rotation, just for the oil change I also had done. That was my second time there. At the counter, I suggested that I may need an alignment. I failed to see worn out tires....or uneven wear, as the dealership claimed. But I threw it out there. I depend on Perfection Tire to keep my truck and small car on the road. Brandon and Tony do not disappoint. When my daughter discovered the truck was leaking the same day she was to take her family across state for a rare camping trip, they managed to get the parts and expedite repairs to get her back on the road. Without their efficient work this trip would have had to be cancelled. Tell that sad story to three kids, grandma and great grandma already packed for a road trip! I buy my tires from them and they make the twice yearly tire changes for free. When I hear new noises on my aging car I depend on their knowledge in accessing and correcting the problem. I took my pick up in for alignment on a special and got an estimate of repairs that blew my socks off. The alignment guy said it had badly worn parts. Ball joints, control arms and new 4x4 axels =$950.00 plus alignment. We took our truck there for an estimate; our first time going there and went based on a neighbor's recommendation. Unbeknownst to them, I knew exactly what was wrong with the truck before we took it in; I was unable to do the job myself due to a back injury. Anyway, parts for the job would be about $60.00 and an hour labor TOPS. Well, they correctly diagnosed the problem, but gave us an estimate reflecting an estimated FOUR HOURS LABOR. This isn't a lack of competence; this is something much worse. When we went to pick up our truck, having declined their "services", we were dismayed to discover that they left our truck completely unattended, windows down and unlocked in the Treaty Rock parking lot.
