A lovely coffee spot that has so much more. Located along Main Street with metered parking is this little coffee spot. Lots of seating and adorable decor. They also have tea and beans to purchase, as well as some other items. They even have a cooler with some fun things to take home. At first we thought it was just a typical coffee spot, but the menu proved us wrong. They do have typical coffee menu with some delicious coffee! But they also have an AM and an PM menu with some super creative options for food. We actually were in town for 2 nights and went both days! The baked goods are drool worthy! You will want one of everything. We tired the lavender blueberry scone. I don't like scones. I always think they are way too dry. These things are not! They are massive and full of flavor. Super tender too. We also got the coffee cake. This was just okay. I would opt for something else unless you ask if it was made that day. Just meh. It was a huge piece though! Super nice staff and very efficient. You can tell they make their food as it is delicious. This isn't a heat it up kind of place. They are cooking. Their baked goods are absolutely amazing! The portions are monster sized. You will need a to go box. We ordered coffees - delicious. Grab some beans to go! Then, we ordered a smoked salmon bagel with capers, pickled red onions, and flavored cream cheese. This was absolutely delicious and HUGE!!! Tons of salmon, the flavors were terrific! Also ordered the pork belly Benedict and it was just as good. This is served on two homemade lard biscuits. Like seriously??? Absolutely delicious! Can't recommend both of these things enough. We were going to come for dinner, but didn't realize they were closed. Apparently they have an incredible fish and chips that's to die for. This place is awesome!!!! I'm going to cut to the chase... my only complaint is that I don't live closer to this place. Absolutely any time we know we're going to be nearby we schedule it around their hours. From the very first time we visited I was hooked. They're sourcing (sometimes their own) local products. Anything we've tried is phenomenal. From made to order meals and baked goods, you cannot go wrong. My humans love that there's infused water available. The place itself feels like you're in grandma's kitchen or something, but with stellar decor vibes. The absolute CUTEST family run cafe in small town PA! I was traveling to the area and just so happened to see this spot featured on my FYP on TikTok and I'm so glad I did. This cutie little spot gives classic English bakery meets small town general store. The coffee was a 10/10 and they have such fun flavors (like tiramisu and cinnamon bun!) They have fresh locally sourced products and a full bakery case full of goodies--we really liked the blueberry lavender scone. But the real show stopper was the mushroom and spinach quiche!!! Stopped in on way to visit family in Pittsburgh area, and is my second visit here. My wife and I stumbled upon it about 2 years ago. A bit out of the way and off the beaten path, but well worth it! Finding a Mom and Pop restaurant that's legit farm-to-table in a metropolitan area is hard enough, let alone in rural PA. Owner/Chef Alana puts her heart and soul into her creations and it shows! This tiny town is SO lucky to have Black Valley Provender! I had a wonderful turkey and stuffing sandwich. Beyond delicious! I can't imagine that anything on the menu isn't just as scrumptious! Will definitely stop by again during another trip from Virginia to the 'Burgh! We found this restaurant using Yelp as we were traveling across the state. We deviated off our normal route to give it a try and are so glad we did! This place is small, but cute and with very friendly staff. We interacted with at least three different folks while there. Our meals were delicious!! Stopped because it had outdoor seating, we are traveling with our dog. The food was wonderful! We had the fried chicken sandwich with fries. These aren't just any fries the were fresh cut fried potatoes! We also asked for side salads (not on the menu) and they were nice enough to make them. They had a large selection of caned drinks, many with low sugar content. The deserts looked wonderful, but we were too full for desert. The service was good and the outside seating nice. Visited for the umpteenth time this past weekend. I'll give you the bad news first: the staff appeared to be all new since last year and they weren't able to get us our drinks in a timely manner. Also, the farmer's breakfast (sausage gravy & lard biscuits) simply wasn't good: the gravy was runny and under-seasoned, while the "lard biscuits" were half-pieces of toast. Very odd. What's most disappointing is that when I had the same dish last year, it was the best sausage gravy and biscuits I'd ever had. Now the good news: the drinks, once received, were phenomenal as usual; and the french toast remains delicious (not crunchy, not floppy; just right). Hopefully the new staff can straighten out the sausage gravy situation and drink service. read more

Finally a Foodie Oasis Near Breezewood! Breezewood is the logical stop on the way to DC or Baltimore as you have to go through it. But it is a desert for food. Unless you love fast food. Coming home from Philly, lunch time lined up with Breezewood and vicinity. Yuck! Luckily my wife found this place. What a surprise! It's a quaint small place, with a hipster vibe. The lunch menu isn't massive, probably 16 items, but there's also a choice of bakery items like quiche and some savory turnovers. Traveling around PA and saw this place online. I like to try these places. Very rainy night and day. So wet and not a great day to be outside. Very nice interior. Used navigator or would have missed it. I was only customer. Two others stopped in while I was there. Food was excellent but pricey. Quiche with few greens, coffee and a strawberry scone to go. A very cute cafe'. My husband and I were excited to try breakfast. Our food was served cold. I took mine back asking if it could be warmed up. The chef seemed completely offended. This cute cafe has a seasonal menu which is pork based. The biscuits are made with lard also. They also sell raw milk and kombucha, fun sodas as well as the full coffee menu. Baked goods include beautiful homemade desserts, the lemon cheese cake was eye catching but lacked flavor and was $$$. Sandwiches were amazing as well as the avocado toast with poached egg. They also have the best fries I have ever tasted. We just had to get an extra side order. They were so good.
