The food was delicious! My family loved the vibe they had. Our server was awesome and we tipped her 5 dollars! Will come again.

They are closed for the season but they always have the best food and milkshakes. I look forward to a peanut butter milkshake!

Great burger shack in gorgeous location. Fun to talk with the locals over lunch. Delicious cheeseburgers and fries.

They changed their ice cream recipe/mix last year. It was gritty. We haven't gone back since. Disappointing.

They also have soft serve ice cream, and we had "baby cones," which were really adult sized.

It has become one of those places we genuinely look forward to visiting. What makes Mr. G's stand out is that they make all of their ice cream in house, something that feels harder and harder to find these days. You can absolutely taste the difference. Every flavor I've tried has been rich, creamy, and full of flavor. My personal favorite is Death by Chocolate, although you'll want to get there early because it sells out fast. It features a light chocolate ice cream with ribbons of chocolate sauce and soft, fudgy brownie chunks throughout. It's honestly one of the best chocolate ice creams I've ever had. Even when it's sold out, I've never been disappointed because every flavor I've tried has been fantastic. The service is another reason we keep coming back. Everyone is always welcoming, the line moves quickly, and the staff is happy to explain the different flavors or help you decide if you're torn between a few options. The atmosphere makes the experience even more memorable. Mr. G's is located inside the beautiful Historic Twin Sycamores House, and there is seating both inside and outside. My favorite place to enjoy my ice cream is beneath the incredible Witness Tree in the yard. Knowing that the tree stood during the Battle of Gettysburg and was there when Abraham Lincoln traveled through town gives the visit an extra layer of history that you simply won't find at your average ice cream shop. If you're visiting Gettysburg, do yourself a favor and stop at Mr. G's. Between the homemade ice cream, friendly service, historic setting, and relaxing outdoor seating, it's one of my favorite places in town and a stop I recommend to everyone.

I got a boring vanilla sundae with chocolate sauce whipped cream and a cherry and a bottle of water. It was over 8$. The place is very cute with soldier statues and a large ring game in the exterior. There are tables and picnic tables outside. It's very relaxing and a beautiful place to enjoy homemade ice-cream. S'coupe de Ville is the best ice-cream I've had, and Leibys is a close second.
